Chapter 288 - Vol-2: 146. Advancing Toward the Eye of the Galaxy

146. Advancing Toward the Eye of the Galaxy

[Side Mission "The Rise of the Black Sun" has met settlement conditions]

[Reward Settlement]:

A. "Battle of No Return" — Xia Jianjing, leading the Akaban Squad, has launched an attack on Shiratori Town Prison. You need to ensure that four Gamma-tier fighters are unable to suppress it in the short term;

Xia Jianjing and Gretorvo have already left Tianhuan (meeting settlement conditions).

Reward Skill [Savage Stomp]: You can perform an execution stomp on a target with less than 10% health. Upon a successful execution, nearby targets are inflicted with the "Shocked" effect (reducing sensory perception and movement speed by 90%, ignoring body resistance effects) for 3 seconds.

B. "Toward a New World" — By any means necessary, you must shake the Tianhuan people and make them realize who their true enemy is.

Current progress: 97% (World-Shaking).

Reward: Awarded a random Omega-tier Omega Energy ability.

[Reward Dispensing…]

[You have obtained Omega-tier Omega Energy—Sequence Seventy-Seven • [Calamity]]

[Calamity • Perception]: Omega-tier (Omega, the final Greek letter) Omega Energy, benefiting from both [Will] and [Charisma].

"You are the universe's calamity, the nightmare of curses, the origin of all tragedies. Your existence brings more suffering and disaster to the world."

"Statistics and probability become esoteric under your influence. Exhaustive methods seem unable to dispel your evil crown."

"Fortune may not favor you, but at least you can bring calamity equally to everyone."

—[Yuan Abyss Celestial Sovereign] Sorao.

Omega Energy Details:

Active Activation — Consumes your Omega Energy to guide something toward a disastrous and tragic fate. While you cannot control the type of disaster, you can influence its occurrence through thought.

Passive State — You will always have early premonitions of any impending catastrophic events, through various means.

"I didn't bring the calamity, I am the calamity."

[Range]: Anything within your visual field.

Current Development Level: Perception-tier, with Omega Energy consumption at — 110%.

With an additional Sequence Omega Energy [Calamity], Li Aozi wasn't sure whether it was a good or bad thing, since he hadn't possessed it before.

But at least it wasn't Sequence Eighty-Two • [Bloodline], which was decent but nothing to rave about in terms of power.

"I'll use it for now. Better than non-sequence Omega Energy."

Li Aozi's body, encased in brilliant blue armor, used a gravitational field to drag the biochem pool, accelerating deeper into space. He skillfully navigated past Azure Star's satellite cluster, space junkyard, and asteroid belt.

He was certain that the Feines Federation fleet was nearby, closely monitoring the Calamity-covered Azure Star, ready to intercept anything leaving the planet that might carry Entropy's seed.

Li Aozi didn't want to be interrogated or go through the tedious procedures with the Feines Federation. He knew too well how cumbersome their bureaucratic system was. Using Polaris for navigation, he immediately headed toward the nearest star system without a word.

The players were not so lucky. They had hoped to look back at their homeland, but one by one, they were forced into hibernation mode, unable to act until they reached their next destination.

With nothing to do, the players logged off, went for walks, and had breakfast.

None of them realized that there was one extra person on board.

Li Aozi had no particular thoughts about Yavanna's mid-journey addition. He needed extreme mental focus to operate in space. Any mistake, and he could turn into a comet that suddenly flares up, only to vanish forever.

This armor... [Armor of Li Aozi], had fantastical abilities. According to the skill description, it not only fused with [Pegasus Power] for space travel but also provided radiation and vacuum protection, allowing Li Aozi to survive and operate continuously in space.

Of course, its activation conditions were stringent. Li Aozi had to activate [Dominator Mode] and at least 11 Omega Energies, each of which had to be at least Kappa-tier.

Meanwhile, the destructive power of [Morphedrien's Sky-Cutting Sword] required only six Omega Energies, with no level requirement.

To protect the biochem pool, Li Aozi linked it to himself with [Death Link]. If any meteors struck, the damage would be transferred to him and slowly repaired.

Space was nearly a vacuum, so any force applied in one direction would continually accelerate an object. Even a casually thrown stone could be as deadly as a bullet.

Li Aozi's greatest advantage was that his flight relied on gravitational acceleration, making him akin to a planet continually moving forward. Coupled with [Pegasus Power]'s passive effect of eliminating his mass, in theory, Li Aozi could accelerate endlessly in space, approaching the speed of light.

Originally, Li Aozi's plan was to use the gravitational pull of several stars in the Azure Star system to slingshot himself for a double-speed boost. However, his physical limitations capped him at about one-seventh the speed of light.

But the appearance of [Armor of Li Aozi] brought a pleasant surprise. This skill provided immense adaptability to space, allowing him to accelerate to 90% of light speed. Though not as fast as using stargates or wormhole nodes common in the universe, it was still a massive upgrade for Li Aozi.

Therefore, Li Aozi decided to change his approach.

Initially, his goal was to reach a planetary civilization under the jurisdiction of the 12th narrative-level [Temple of Annihilation]. As a narrative-level entity deeply rooted in religion, [Temple of Annihilation] sent priests and incense-bearers to every civilization to strengthen faith and solidify their rule.

The first layer of the Star Abyss, 'Layer Abyss,' housed only three narrative-level civilizations, none of which were easy to deal with.

Eleventh Narrative: [United Company]

This was a typical intergalactic mega-corporation, where corporations replaced administrative departments. They worshiped the former [Plunder]-path main god, 'Red King,' and controlled the [Plunderer] path, the weakest of the three, though still wielding significant influence.

As a permanently neutral narrative-level civilization, [United Company] could traverse any battlefield or sensitive starfield freely. They only recognized the universal currency, 'Ammonium Gold.' If the money was right, anything was possible. However, that place wasn't very livable—even the air was sold in categories.

Twelfth Narrative: [Temple of Annihilation]

In contrast, [Temple of Annihilation] was a highly conservative narrative-level civilization. They were deeply devoted to religious endeavors and firmly believed in an "animist" philosophy. Their theological research granted them the most prominent standing in void energy manipulation, leading to an incredibly powerful pantheon.

[Temple of Annihilation] used spirit maggots and void energy to mass-produce gods, planting them on contested planets. Once the gods awakened, they would immediately recruit them into their pantheon, acquiring the largest territory in the entire Layer Abyss.

Thirteenth Narrative: [Heroic Empire]

Unlike the other two long-established narrative-level civilizations, [Heroic Empire] was young and ambitious. It was formed when a philosopher-king united several nebulae-level and star-cluster-level civilizations into a massive federated empire. Through the charisma of this ruler, they achieved narrative-level greatness.
