Chapter 317 - Vol-3: 025. Return to the Main Body

025. Return to the Main Body

Rules are dead, but people are alive.

Li Aozi felt that after his mental strength awakened, his mind became especially sharp, and his perspective expanded significantly.

In the past, he would definitely have thought about using his [Charisma] and acting skills, interacting more with students and teachers, staying low-key, while studying hard to ensure that 'Leozi is just an ordinary gifted spellcaster' wouldn't be exposed.

But now, Li Aozi's mindset had changed a lot.

Efficiency.

The most efficient way is to stop performing and wasting time, and directly change his aptitude, physically altering his talents.

Screw the acting, I'm a genius, I've just switched races.

Originally, Li Aozi planned to first obtain the Perpetual Specialty, then slowly wait to study, and after a year, steadily transfer to [Astral Echoer], and then advance to Gamma Tier.

This was relatively safe.

But Li Aozi suddenly realized: why should I wait to advance to Gamma Tier?

Why can't I use Gamma Tier strength to complete the class transfer task?

Although it's just a change in sequence, it immediately provided a new way of solving the problem.

On Azure Star, this wouldn't be possible, but in the universe, it's different.

"Now, I have an interstellar civilization's identity and registration, and it's very easy to join a legal civilization. I can totally pull some stunts."

His eyes gradually glowed blue, and an idea flashed through his mind, and he subconsciously said it out loud:

"First, go to the [Temple of Annihilation], sell the spirit larvae, then turn around and join the [Empire of Heroes]. There's a lot of interaction between the two narrative-level civilizations, especially since their currency is universal. I can directly board an interstellar flight there."

"In the [Empire of Heroes], I can first try if I can transfer to [Echoer], and if it's successful—then what's there to worry about?"

"With this plan, I estimate it'll take less than half a month. I'll be back just in time to meet the players. Spend a year on White Candle Star, get the specialty, and then OK, head straight back to the [Empire of Heroes] to report to Lord Entropy, lay my cards on the table, cry out, and it'll be handled quickly."

Besides, when it comes to changing nationalities, Li Aozi is very skilled.

"Efficiency, efficiency."

A faint blue halo appeared in Li Aozi's eyes as he muttered:

"I just awakened my mental strength, and I didn't expect my thinking to open up this much—yeah, I used to be limited by fixed thinking."

This isn't a game, there's no version limitation.

If combined with colonial grafting, Li Aozi's two secondary professions, [Biochemist] and [Mage], are both strong mages in the [Craft] category, with the primary attribute of [Intelligence].

His main body, in addition to [Perpetual•Love Hunter] and [Autocratic Actions], also gained the effect of the [Pioneer of the Future] title obtained after going to space, increasing [Intelligence] gains by 20%.

As a result, once combined with colonial grafting, Li Aozi's Intelligence gains would reach (84+8.4)×120%=110.8 points.

And after merging colonial grafting, removing the negative effect of [Idler], the [Charisma] gain would also become (12+99)×130%=144.3 points.

Li Aozi looked at the list of Omega Energies possessed by his main body:

Coincidentally, he really had Omega Energy with both [Intelligence] and [Charisma] dual benefits, and not of low rank either.

Sequence Seventy-Seven•[Plague]!

[Plague•Perception]: Omega-level (Omega, the final Greek letter) Omega Energy, with dual benefits of [Will] and [Charisma].

Li Aozi's [Will] had already been converted into [Intelligence], so the final determination was also based on [Intelligence].

The difference between [Intelligence] and [Will] in determination wasn't much, but in reality, the difference was huge.

The tenacity of character provided by [Will], as well as strong mental resistance, or the sharp thinking and broad mindset provided by [Intelligence], were all things that were blocked in the game.

But what Li Aozi needed now wasn't their additional value.

Because the numerical check was the same.

Li Aozi's heart stirred.

"[Sequence Seventy-Seven•Plague], no matter what, it's still a Sequence Omega Energy. With my stats, [Charisma] and [Intelligence] together add up to 255.1 points. The lethality of this Omega Energy… probably approaches Delta Tier, right?"

This is bad, Li Aozi, a technical player, had now become an overpowered stat monster.

No technique, just raw stats from double bonuses for all his abilities.

Moreover, he followed the Blood Demon path, fully maximizing his survivability.

"The players' experiences gave me foresight, but they also limited my imagination."

Li Aozi took a deep breath:

"That's it, merge the colonial graft with my body, push forward, and if I'm fast enough, I can advance to Gamma Tier within six days."

Even if the class transfer fails, after a trip to the narrative-level civilization, at least he could sell the spirit larvae and exchange them for a large amount of startup capital.

Worst case... he could hire mercenaries by then.

"It's really strange... my Intelligence stat hasn't changed, but I've even lost my memory. Yet my thinking has become so open?"

Li Aozi frowned slightly.

He vaguely sensed something was wrong, but the system logs were fine, so he could only attribute the changes to the influence of mental strength on an individual.

"It seems I need to increase my training in mental strength."

From this perspective, the Trickster Network has blocked too much for the players.

Li Aozi shook his head, controlling himself not to think further along those lines.

As for the players' matters, he chose to trust the people of reality, because that's where he came from.

Regardless of the players' and reality's motives, in his experience, most players were fighting for the peace and stability of the Star Abyss universe.

Players and the natives of Star Abyss were still different.

The biggest difference was in their driving force.

Players were here to play and enjoy the game, while the residents of Star Abyss mostly harbored delusions of ascending to godhood.

The cosmic civilizations all understood deep down that mastering the path meant mastering the cohesion of all transcendents on that path.

Each path is a road to godhood; this isn't a secret, it's common knowledge.

Narrative-level civilizations can mass-produce 'gods,' but at best, they are just large weapons or production units.

Personal ascension to godhood, however, is a true free deity.

The former is like a high-level executive working for a company, without stock dividends. Once they stop working, they lose their status and income.

But the latter is like an emperor, capitalist, or pope. As the deity of a path, you have free will, and as long as your path continues to exist, and more people follow it, your power grows, even surpassing worlds.

Even if your path is in shambles, you can retire gracefully, becoming an almost immortal being, not needing to care about the narrative-level, and even in the face of societal attacks, you can retreat calmly.

In fact, if you betray Star Abyss, as long as people still believe in you and follow your path, you can live comfortably.

No one can resist such temptation. Moreover, this part of history has just recently passed.

There truly was a path's main deity who practiced all this.

According to Li Aozi's understanding, the former [Plunder] system's main deity—[Soul of Plunder] Red. King. did exactly this.
