Arthur, like everyone else, had heard of the game and was as excited as everyone else to try it, if not even more. With how much he grew bored of his life on earth, this fantasy world was like the divine call he had been searching for. However, there was a very small problem.


He had no money to buy the machine required to access Divinity Online. His wretched life had turned him into a broke teenager with no parents, and no relatives. But, by some kind of luck, he got his hands on one of those machines.

Not knowing what was awaiting him in that world, Arthur was simply seeking one thing... A new opportunity in life and to find a purpose he could work for when he had none so far.

With urgency, Arthur pushed the black substance back and back, burning every single piece of it without any mercy. The light from the orb worked like holy water, burning all evil and malicious things in its way. 


In the darkness of this world, this orb was the only source of bright light Arthur had. It was so beautiful, contradicting every single aspect of the Void as if it were the exact opposite of it. That naturally made Arthur wonder if the darkness of this world was truly the exact opposite of the Divine Shard and the outer world.


'This place truly feels like it is the evil side of the tower, while the rest of the tower is the one graced by the Divine Shard. So much for being graced…' Arthur exhaled a small breath, just shaking his head.
