Julius stood and hooked the last button of his shirt before slipping on his coat. Maverick, beside him, laced up his shoes leisurely.
"Maverick, I'm going to meet with the soldiers with Abigail. I'll come to you before heading out," Julius said as he adjusted his sleeves.
Maverick hummed in acknowledgment, slipping on his shoes. "See you later."
Julius glanced around, making sure no one was watching. Then, without warning, he leaned in and pressed a quick peck to Maverick's cheek.
Maverick snorted in amusement before grabbing Julius by the front of his shirt, pulling him in, and capturing his lips in a firm kiss.
When he pulled away, Julius grinned ear to ear. "I'll be back soon," he promised before heading out.
Outside the entrance, Julius spotted Wolfgang waiting for them. He placed a firm hand on Wolfgang's head and ruffled his hair.
