Still, before I started working with the Hulk in the lab, I decided to sort things out at home.
I contacted Del and asked her to come and pick up the girls. Queens would obviously be safer than the Centre right now. Then he sent Ben to find the Defenders and Cain to the X-Men. The more heroes ready to go, the better. I got the info to the Fantastic Four through Johnny.
- Yeah, Candlestick, just be ready for anything in the next 48 hours.
- OK, Pete, see you later.
- See you, Johnny," I end the call as I enter the lab.
In the botanical kingdom, work is already in full swing. Leo has caught up with his idol and, in between setting up the tracking transmitter, is pelting Banner with questions about his work. It's funny, but Bruce seems flattered by the attention.
I'm approaching Simmons.
- So, are we getting anywhere, or is all we have so far is Fitz's irrepressible scientific curiosity?
- We're thinking of setting up equipment to search for Tessaract radiation, based on measurements from the Shield archives," Gemma said, waving her ponytails at me.
- I see," I nodded and stepped back to Banner and Leopold, who were working on the equipment.
What's the most frustrating thing about knowing what's going to happen? At the very least, I can't be one hundred per cent sure of their execution. Still, events are different enough in my world that I have no idea if Loki will act the same way.
In theory, he could soon be heading to Germany to get iridium on a tip from Dr Selvig. But what if he doesn't? It's not a good idea to spread your resources too far ahead of time. Of course, it's better to be safe than sorry... But what if?
- Dr Banner, I understand you're only considering a search for Loki through the Cosmic Cube, correct? - I'm folding my arms across my chest.
- Well...yes," Bruce looks at me incomprehensively.
- It's just, I figured, if I was Loki and I had what I needed, and I had agents and scientists who knew about the equipment the Shield had, wouldn't I try to hide the Tesseract's signals?
- That makes sense," Fitz interjected, "but do you think he has that kind of equipment on hand, Agent Spider?
- It's also possible that magic, a more familiar tool of our Norwegian, was used for such a thing.
To my delight, after the demonstration of the portal, the comment about magic did not elicit a chuckle or a snicker, only concentration.
- Do you have any other ideas? - The brunet clarified.
- A couple. What if we try to trace the signature of Loki's Scepter specifically? If, as Director Fury had said in his report, it was the one the Asgardian used to subjugate the minds of the agents, then it would be worth trying to trace his signature, which I'm sure was no less unusual.
The science team thought about what I said.
- I think it's worth a try.
I turned at the voice and saw Tony standing in the doorway, smiling, wearing his armour and helmet.
- Wow, someone took our One-Eyed Eagle up on his offer," I smile, walking over to Stark and shaking his hand. - Good to see you, Tin Man.
- You too, Mukholov," the billionaire smiled brightly at thirty-two. - And, what can I say, after describing the situation, I could not stand aside, although I wanted so much to celebrate the soon opening of my tower in New York.
The brunet turned to the crew.
- 'Glad to welcome everyone, Fury has sent me to help with the organisation,' Tony walked up to Bruce. - 'Dr Banner, I'm a big fan, I love stories about scientists in fits of rage turning into big monsters.
- Um, thank you? - replies the scientist, not knowing exactly how to respond to such words.
- So, when did you become an expert in cosmic radiation? - I return to the subject of Armadillo's presence among us.
- Yesterday," Stark replies phlegmatically. - So, where are we?
*
About half an hour before.
Spider Web Warriors.
Delia was uneasy. She should be, considering Peter had called her and asked her to go downtown and move MJ and Felicia to Queens.
Yeah, that's an understatement. And how would she ever convince Hardy? If the redhead was more amenable because of the baby, the thief wasn't at all.
The redhead sighed and, putting on her leather jacket, opened the front door.
A surprised Ben stood on the threshold with his hand raised to knock.
- Hi, sis," the blond man addressed her.
- Hey," the brown-eyed girl came out and started to close the door, "what are you doing here, didn't Pete send you to the Defenders?
- I did, I was just in the neighbourhood and I thought I'd check on you," the clones started walking down the pavement, "do you mind if I bring Elizabeth home?
- No, not at all, the more of us the calmer," Del smiled.
She was more of an older sister to Ben and Cain, too.
- I wish our fearless leader had provided us with some teleporters, too," Raleigh tried to discuss a side topic, distracted.
- I think Peter would do it soon, if he could," the girl said.
- Do you have a lingering sense of unease, too? - Came to what was really bothering him, the twin of the original.
Del pressed her lips together.
- 'Yeah. You know, sometimes I get the feeling we might be feeling what Peter's feeling.
- Given the progressive strengthening of our Sense's connection, that's nothing new," the blond shrugged. - Cain, for example, flew out of the house in Bayville as soon as Pete called.
- Do you think something's really going to happen now that Peter's got everyone he can think of on alert?
- I'm used to trusting our brother. Who else but him?
The clones spent the rest of the journey in silence.

Two hours later.
- Bingo! Fitz clapped his hands loudly.
I immediately turned my attention away from the systems settings and turned the rest of the commands over to Karen's automatic control.
- What is it? - Tony said, standing next to Bruce behind Leo's back.
- We've detected powerful energy signatures, similar to the Tessaract's readings, but different.
- Sceptre? - I'm standing next to H.G. and the Hulk.
- Looks like it.
So our search has borne fruit after all.
- Where?
- Sweden," Fitz announced, opening up the map.
Yeah, not Germany.
- All right, we're going," Stark said, putting on his helmet. - You coming? - A turn of the head in my direction.
- Sure. Dr Banner? - I thought I should clarify.
- No, I'm more useful here," the brunette replied quietly.
- Whatever you say," I step out into the corridor with the GMPF. - Director, we found Loki, the coordinates point to the wilderness of the Swedish territory, - I activate the communicator, transmitting the information directly to Nick.
- Okay, I'll relay the information to the Widow and the Captain, wait for them in the Angars.
- Roger, out, - I cut off the bracelet.
- Maybe I'd better go on my own, you know? - points to his armour.
- I don't think that's a good idea, Tony, without detracting from your abilities, going alone against an unknown enemy is not the best idea," I fold my arms across my chest. - Besides, since you've agreed to it, you need to learn to work as a team.
Even if our squad of Earth's Greatest Heroes isn't quite complete.
Stark grinned, but said nothing, rechecking the suit's settings.
Five minutes later, Widow and Rogers appeared in the room.
- Were they guarding the hangars? - I asked Steve, hinting at the speed of their arrival.
- It's an old military habit before a possible early departure," the blond replied.
- The bird is ready, but I can't help but ask," Natasha turned her head to me and looked at me with her blue eyes, "why aren't you teleporting us?
- Teleportation? - Stark wondered.
- You didn't see it, right," I sighed slightly. - Okay, in order, - I cancelled the disguise of the double ring, - I open portals with this ring, funnels work on the principle that I must know where I open a portal or I must have a thing leading to the subject or object to which I want to move, - I briefly introduced the peculiarities of the work of magical teleports, the command. - Perhaps there are no such conditions for strong and true mages, but I am a spellcaster only half a bet.
If not a quarter.
- Wait, magic, really? - Tony arched an eyebrow. - If I didn't know you, Spidey, I'd think you were delusional.
The comment still doesn't stop Stark from looking at us like we're idiots.
- If it's easier for you, you can think of it as another form of science and technology," I sigh, not wanting to argue. - In general, here's a little advice, Iron Man, I personally have recently encountered a lot of things that are difficult to explain with classical logic, so, for the future, moderate your scientific scepticism.
- Quinjet is ready.
We were distracted from further argument by the arrival of the pilot.
- Great, but you can be free, I'll drive," Natasha said, walking past the surprised guy.
- I wouldn't argue with her, mate," I clapped the agent on the shoulder, "go take a break, have some coffee.
- Yes, sir," the pilot nods and walks away.
We get into the Shield's jet transporter and go to the cockpit. Natasha has already taken the pilot's seat and was double-checking the systems.
- So, how long will the flight take? - I'm checking with our flight commander.
- It'll take us more than three hours to fly across the Atlantic, kid, if you squeeze the engines," Romanova replied.
- I'd be halfway there by now if I'd left early," Stark said in a disgruntled tone.
- No," Cap shook his head. - Team is strength, and by facing the threat together and working together, we have a better chance of defeating our intruder.
- I've heard somewhere that the strong are stronger than one," he continued, but more because of his character. I'm sure he knows in his head that Steve is one hundred per cent right.
- That's not true, Tony, and I'm well aware of the importance of a team in a time of war.
- It's a different time, Cap," the brunet added, but without fervour.
- And yet here you are, and so are we," Rogers ogled.
- Boys, this is certainly very inspiring, but go to the transporter room, you're interfering with my concentration," Natasha muttered, starting the engine.
- Well, let's get going, Avengers," I summarise the conversation.
The Quinjet takes off.
***
After a certain amount of time.
Sweden.
- Oh, shit," Clint said unhappily as he fell knee-deep in a snowdrift, "fucking snow!
After his enlightenment, Barton began to feel free, but angry at the same time. Everything was pissing him off: the idiot Shield agents, the drug-addled, shaking Selvig, and, of course, their new "leader".
- What's the matter, archer? - came a condescending voice.
Speaking of which.
- I hate this snowy wasteland," Falcon Eye replied, shaking off his foot, "why did we come here in the first place if we were going to get iridium for Selvig?
- Your colleagues were sent on the doctor's errand, and our reasons for being here are none of your concern," the brunet replied disinterestedly.
Clint pressed his lips together, but didn't risk arguing.
- I'm more useful than any of them, and with my presence the risk of mission failure would be minimised," Barton added, folding his arms across his chest.
- That's why I took you with me and sent my agent to help," the jotun said more irritably, quickening his pace.
Loki, thanks to his ancestry, felt as if he were floating on snow.
Clint shuddered at the memory of the half elf in a cloak that the God of Deception had summoned just after they had left the base and moved the equipment.
The further journey across the snow-covered field was silent. And yet, after half a kilometre, Barton couldn't take it anymore.
- Forgive me for being blunt, but why didn't you call more guys like the one in the cloak? - The archer decided to clarify, remembering how that half elf had frozen his former colleague.
In response, the Prince of Asgard only turned and looked at Falcon Eyes with inexpressible superiority in his rich green eyes.
- What do you think we came to this temple for?
- Temple?
Loki merely hammered the hilt of his sceptre into the ice and raised his palms. A green flash lit up on his hands. The mage cast a spell and shook his hands towards the distant rocks.
Waves of green energy bent the space and, where before there were only mountain clefts, a three-storey stone building with a large wooden gate appeared.
The Asgardian prince drew his sceptre and began to concentrate energy on the tip, tilting the weapon sharply, the God of Deception released a blast of blue energy that knocked one of the doors open.
Loki walked into the building and Clint followed, preparing his bow and putting an arrow to the bowstring.
- There are many such places on your planet, archer," the Jotun spoke, "for thousands of years the inhabitants of many worlds have visited your dirt ball, but this temple is particularly interesting for its aura of ancient winter magic.
The God of Deception stopped in front of a long stone table.
Loki slipped his hand into an inner pocket and, with a slight telekinesis, revealed six curved stones covered with blue Runes.
- It's a shame I'll have to use up all your magic," the brunet regretfully stroked the coating on one of the artefacts. - However, the Norn Stones have a wonderful peculiarity, sooner or later they will restore their power by absorbing the magic of the surrounding space. Carnilla had worked hard to create them. Guard the entrance," Loki said to Clint.
The blond only nodded curtly and returned to the entrance.
Meanwhile, the God of Deception himself placed the stones on the table and stepped down from the dais and began to work his magic.
***
Not far from the Ancient Temple.
Spider-Man.
After a long discussion of strategy and our plan, at times degenerating into a battle of banter with Stark and Rogers, I move into Natasha's cabin.
- According to the instrument readings, we're about three kilometres from the signal, right? - I check as I sit down in the chair.
- Well, but I definitely don't like the fact that there is a snowy desert around and a blizzard is about to start, - my mentor frowned her eyebrows charmingly.
- I don't think there's anything wrong with that.....
I was interrupted by a pillar of green light that burst into the sky, far away from us.
- What the hell?!
- That's a good question," I answer my mentor in our own language. - I'm guessing Loki had something to do with it.
Romanova just gave speed and, with an extra burst of engines and roar, we flew towards the energy anomaly.
I enter the landing bay and see Cap zipping up his parachute and Tony frantically checking the armour readings.
- What's going on down there, Jarvis is picking up abnormally strong energy readings? - asks the futurist, putting on his helmet.
- Well, either Loki used the Tesseract, which I doubt because of the colour of the flash, or the Norwegian has a few tricks up his sleeve," I sigh. - Either way, we're on the right track, getting ready.
The accelerated flight of the Russian daredevil has paid off.
- Boys, we are in the immediate vicinity, move out, - Natasha said over the intercom, opening the gangway.
All three of us are jumping from the Quinjet.
Tony immediately stabilises the free fall of the armour, Steve folds his arms, starting to fall like a soldier, and I activate the gravity cushion of my boots and gloves.
Either way, we end up on the ground. Me first, Rogers later, and Stark's still hanging in the air.
- All right, activate communicators," the soldier from the past said, throwing off his satchel, "Captain America here.
- Iron Man on the line," Tony confirmed.
- Spider-Man here," I switched on my device.
- Black Widow is online," Romanova confirmed.
- Good. Natasha, stay in the air and be ready to cover us. Tony, what are your instruments picking up?
- Energy, Cap. A lot of powerful energy," GMPF reported.
- All right, we're moving forward, Spider's covering the rear and be ready for anything.
Just like Steve had planned.
Controlling the situation, we quickly reached a stone, obviously ancient, tall structure.
Just as we were thinking of moving towards the wooden gate, Tony was hit by a burst shell.
- Contact! - Cap called out.
I turned and zoomed in with the eyepieces.
- It's Barton! - I transmitted over the comm channel, locking on to the archer.
The Shield agent didn't wait long, and fired another bursting arrow.
Tony responded with a volley of repulsor and knocked the projectile in flight, then fired a double beam, but Clint took cover behind a heavy door.
- Iron Man, stop, it's one of your own, but under mental control," I informed the brunet.
- 'Copy that,' Tony spiked, 'just let him try to shoot again.
- Widow, what are you doing? - Cap asked, watching the Quinjet coming in for a landing.
- Going to rescue a friend," Nat relayed.
It was obvious that Cap wanted to make a point about the lack of respect for the chain of command.
- Steve, save the grumbling for later, we'd better get inside, because something very bad is going on in there," I interrupt any bickering.
Rogers nods and we spread out and approach the building.
As Clint pops up again, pointing his bow at us, Steve throws a Shield at him, stopping his attempted attack.
I use my symbiotic cloak to accelerate myself and slam two feet into the oak door, knocking it open and practically kicking it open.
- Honey, I'm home! - Oh, man, I'm repeating myself.
Am I repeating myself, Raj?
At times, Bearer.
But even jokingly bickering with the symbiote doesn't bring the usual dose of relaxation, for the sensors are buzzing.
The rest of the Avengers catch up with me, and we see a green portal vortex opening in the distance, with Loki sitting in front of it, clearly reading a spell (too often I've seen Stefan like this).
Now seems like a good time.
- Avengers, to battle! - I announce, moving forward.
I create some symbiotic blades on my hands and approach the brunet, trying to slash his shoulder.
However, my limb passes through his body as if through ripples.
- Which one? - Tony echoes my mute surprise.
Natasha and Steve are trying to knock out a struggling Barton.
- Wow, Agent Romanoff, just like the good old days in Budapest, huh?
- Clint, come on, we'll get you back to normal, think of Laura and the kids!
- They don't mean anything.
I hear bits and pieces of conversation, but I don't have time to go to my mentor's aid.
My gut explodes with another firework in my head.
- Something's about to happen," I warn Tony, who's standing next to me, sternly.
The futurist doesn't have time to respond.
The funnel begins to rattle.
The first to emerge from the portal is Loki, exactly as I'd imagined him. What dark coat and green scarf? Golden armour and a swamp-coloured cloak, and a helmet with horns, classic.
- So, reindeer, do you surrender? - HF asked, pointing his repulsors at the Jotun.
As if by the law of the genre, the portal began to split into seven small funnels, from which various subjects began to emerge.
Totally different ones: short trolls in iron armour, blue-skinned giants with red eyes and ice bludgeons, Dark Elves, fire monsters and who the fuck knows what else.
- What the fuck?! - GMPF was once again the voice of our collective mood.
- Loki, don't tell me you got us together because of....these," said one of the pointy-eared ones, clearly standing out from his fellows, at least because one half of his face was coal black and the other bright blue.
- Don't worry, Malekith, these insects are worthless," Lafeyson pointed his sceptre at us. - Syndicate of the Nine Worlds, kill the Midgardians!
And the whole horde of those monsters came at us.
- Retreat to the street! - I commanded into the general channel, noticing out of the corner of my eye that Natasha was already pulling Clint out, and Cap was covering them.
Tony gave us a good cover, firing two dozen micro-missiles. There's a reason they call him the Gun Man, given the amount of explosives per square centimetre.
I wish I'd brought my armour," I remark sardonically.
I'll be enough," Raj said bloodily.
I couldn't agree more, brother.
I let five pointed symbiotic tendrils out of my body, piercing at least two dozen trolls, elves, and ice giants.
I grab the leg of Jotun, who is seriously wounded and already on his knee.
I use my stylus and start spinning the Giant's carcass, scattering the rest of the enemies with it.
You wouldn't believe me if you told anyone.
- Spider, regroup, Iron Man, provide air cover, Natasha the same, but from Quinjet! - Cap gave out commands and I saw a disc of the famous shield hit the wolf-like monster.
I, trying to draw most of my opponents to me, changed tactics slightly.
Throwing the giant's carcass into another small group of enemies, I begin to increase my mass and become completely covered in symbiotic tissue.
- I WILL EAT YOUR BRAINS! - I growl with my symbiotic tongue out, trying to psychologically influence my opponents, I think the green drool dripping from my sharp fangs helps just as much.
It works on some of the trolls and they throw their axes and swords and shields, whoever was armed with what, and run away from the battlefield.
- Come back and fight, you cowards! - shouted a hairy, short, yellow-skinned troll in green armour.
But his shout was interrupted by a series of explosions, the author of which was Tony, accompanied by the machine-gun bursts of the quinjet under Romanova's control.
Only trouble is, it's like we don't even know about a tenth of these guys.
And they're probably still coming in.
To make matters worse, the snow is starting to pick up.
- I will try to break through to the portals and cut off the flow of our uninvited guests, - I announce over the general communication, throwing off another elf who rushed at me from behind.
If they are for the assassins in this armada, it was foolish to take them into the open battlefield.
- No, Spider-Man, you can't split up! - replied a panting Cap, judging by his voice.
He's supposedly having a harder time than the rest of us under the circumstances.
I give myself a few seconds and turn around, analysing the situation.
Steve's defences are solidly in place, not letting himself be surrounded. However, due to the situation, the Living Legend has changed tactics a bit, arming himself with a two-handed axe to go along with his trusty shield.
This picture was the final detail in the pattern of the decision made.
"Blasting" the built-up mass of cover with thousands of symbiotic shards, pushing back the crowd of opponents.
- Still, I'll take my chances," I warned my comrades.
I leap over the heads of my enemies and, with regenerated tentacles, grab axes, swords, shields, and other types of edged weapons that have been dropped and are lying on the ground.
I cover myself with a kind of steel cocoon, parrying the attacks of dozens of enemies, and trying to strike back with blades and chopping blows with heavy axes.
The only thing that kept me from drowning in the battle with monsters was my amazing spider dexterity and Klyntar reinforcement.
I break through to the castle and, catching a spider's web on the oak sash, I fly inside, catching myself on the ceiling.
It's just as I suspected, the portals are kept running by a dozen unknowns wearing capes over each of the funnels.
Loki was also among them, at the largest portal.
Now I see where all the mages were.
Further contemplation is interrupted by the ringing of the Sense.
I jump from the ceiling to the floor because of the stream of ice directed at my previous location.
- You'll have to fight me if you want to go any further," the double-skinned elf said arrogantly, forming sabres of blue ice in his hands.
Malekith.... Something familiar, but I can't remember.
I raise my tentacles with the collected cold weapons and create black and grey symbiotic blades from my forearms.
Saying nothing, we close in on our opponent.
The fact that the blades are literally grown from my hands is quite convenient, also it's as if I can feel Raj with my sub-mind, which controls all the other armed feelers, we interact indescribably.
A perfect symbiosis.
However, most annoyingly, this Malekith, somehow, in some unknown way manages to not only react to our attacks, but also to block them, and sometimes even respond! Fucking blade dancer! Or maybe he's aided by the strange glow of his left pale yellow eye that glows when we attack?
While I'm pondering, the elf jumps up and cuts down two symbiotic tendrils.
Damn, I got distracted! Raj had to cover my arm.
We break the distance and I can't help but listen to the rumble of the intensified storm and the rumble of thunder coming from the street.
- You're interesting, Midgardian," the elf began to say in an even voice. - I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of creatures I have gone into sabre combat with and fought as long.
- What can I say, you're not much of a swordsman, are you? - I try to tease my enemy.
- In hundreds of years, almost no one has withstood my onslaught," Malekith added sternly, "and you will be no exception, but before you die, indulge my curiosity and tell me, how did a Klyntarian get to your scraggly little ball of dirt?
- Through the portal when I was fucking your mother," I snapped.
Seriously, Pete, are we that low on comedy?
Even Raj is judging me. Although I did deliver my weakest witticism in a long time.
I'm sorry, bro, it's just this hairy-haired shithead is really pissing me off! - I feel compelled to explain myself to the symbiote.
- I wouldn't expect anything less from a human," Malekith snorted. - The elf crosses his blades over his chest and his incomprehensible eye glows even brighter.
At the same second, a powerful white beam is shot at me.
I close myself with a symbiotic shield, but the power of the pulse is so great that I am thrown away.
I fly through a wooden gate that's already pretty shaky.
I hit the street, feeling the cold ice on my back.
Raj, are you all right?
It stings, Bearer, but I'll live," the alien replied curtly.
I try to get up, but what I didn't expect was an outstretched hand.
- Do not hesitate, warrior, the battle is in full swing.
I look up and see Thor, looking just as he did the last time we met.
- Thor? - I'm surprised to accept the outstretched limb.
- Do I know you? - Ace clarifies, sending a chain of Mjolnir lightning bolts at the group of enemies.
In response, I simply cancel the symbiotic cover from my face to my torso.
- Spider-Man? Ha, in the name of Odin's beard, are you always around for a noble fight? - Smiling all thirty-two, Odinson asked the question.
- Well, you know, it just sort of works itself out.
Answering, I look around the battlefield.
I don't know when the Thunder Prince got here, but his presence has done the team some good. Steve no longer looks so haggard, and confidently swings his axe, Tony flies and strikes enemies with volleys of repulsors, and the quinjet gives out consistently cheerful charges of lead.
- Well, I don't have time for games," Thor said curtly.
The God of Thunder raised his hammer, swinging Mjolnir into the air. The clouds saturated, growing darker. The roar grew louder, the chains of branching lightning increased. Odinson's eyes glowed blue and he pointed his formidable Uru weapon towards the frantic armada.
Numerous bolts of lightning rained down on the criminals of all nine worlds, sweeping them aside.
Most of them, having escaped the Asgardian's wrath, turned to flee, making it their goal to reach the portal in the castle from which they had come. To any of them.
Rare field commanders tried to interrupt the panic and direct the warriors back into battle, but they were mercilessly swept away by the panicked horde.
- Spectacular," Tony commented as he landed, also back on the ground with Thor.
- I think we owe you one," Cap said, not knowing how to address Odinson.
- We'll talk later, brave warriors, but right now I have to deal with my rebellious little brother," the lightning lord said grudgingly.
If Cap and HF were surprised by Goldilocks' comment, they didn't show it.
- No offence to be said, my friend, I'm glad to see you, but why didn't you capture at least half of Asgard's army or at least your brave squad? - I clarify, noting that an armada upon armada would be epic.
- Alas, I did not know that Loki would bring to Midgard an army of criminals wanted in all nine worlds, - Thor answered with a little guilt in his voice, - and I could not call the Asgard warriors for help, the Bivryost was destroyed during my battle with my brother, Heimdal had enough strength to carry only me.
With Thor's explanations, which the other Avengers also listened attentively to, we reached the same ill-fated castle gates.
Inside, chaos was already in full swing, and many of our recent opponents were running into the portals, interfering with each other.
- What are you idiots doing?! - Malekith yelled loudly, but as soon as he turned his head in our direction, he realised. - Grand Farik! Loki, you said no one from Asgard would be here, that you had solved this problem!
- What can I say, my brother is like a pesky bedbug," the God of Deception snapped with contempt.
- That wasn't part of the deal, Syndicate, back off!
If before that, some trolls, elves or giants were still ready for battle, the retreat accelerated after Malekith's announcement.
- Lafeyson noted sardonically, as the head of the dark elves disappeared into the portal.
Before Loki could point his magic staff in our direction, Thor's thrown Mjolnir crashed into his chest.
The hammer crushed the brunet to the stone floor of the room and prevented him from getting up.
All troops approach the God of Deception.
- It's over, brother, your army is defeated and we're going back to Asgard," Thor said pathetically, just as the last funnel of the portal went out.
Loki, however, only laughed out loud.
- Oh, my brother Thunderer, did you really think that bringing this rabble to Midgard was my main plan and that they were my army? - The green-eyed man smiled brightly, looking us over with superiority.
