A Day After retaking Trost
I with rhe other cadets were all inside the wall that has recently been breached and sealed
We were all tasked to clean up the bodies who perished against the Titans. Also we needed to clean up the bloods that is literally everywhere, making everything more hassleful
There were Titan vomits here and there containing unrecognizable humans that have been consumed by it, It honestly was disgusting to be near nor even look at
Just remembering the one I saw earlier is enough to give me nightmares later in my sleep, ugh.
Anyway I was with Christa and Sasha as we had masks over our face and I was carrying a corpse and they were busy cleaning the blood stains
I put the corpse to a mountain of corpses as I thought of the events that happened after we plugged the wall and Captain Levi arrived

Flashback no jutsu
After Captain Levi arrived and a soldier from the Garrison reported what transpired Captain Levi's eyes widened as he looked at Eren who was being watched by Mikasa who was looking at him warrily
"This brat... Transformed into a Titan and plugged the hole? What kind of absurdly stupid story is that" Levi said as he started to walk to Eren and Mikasa got infront of him
Mikasa looked at him with a look that could kill
"What are you going to do?" Mikasa said with a glare
"I am going to-" Levi couldn't finish his sentence as he heard a lot of ODM Gear sound as Commander Erwin, Hange and the other Survey Corps members glided the wall
Levi looked at them and then looked at Erwin as he went to him
"Erwin, perfect timing. Apparently the brat over there transformed into a Titam and plugged the wall that was destroyed by the Colossal Titan" Levi said as he pointed at the sleeping Eren
Erwin's eyes widened as his eyes gleamed with curiosity as well as hope and Hange who was behind him widened her eyes as she became excited
"A Titan shifter you say?! Erwin let me have him! I'll take good care of him I promise" Hange said as she tried to go to Erwin but was held back by her assistant which is Moblit
"What are we going to do?" Levi said ignoring Hange
Erwin thought for a while before responding to him
"We'll lock him up first, we can't be too sure that he won't transform here and run rampage" Erwin said as he ordered two soldiers of his to go and get Eren who was being held by Mikasa
I looked at Mikasa as I gave her a message
"Mikasa let them get Eren for now... They won't do anything against him, well for now at least" I muttered the last part quietly
Mikasa hesitated for a moment before she moved out of the way and the two soldiers carried Eren
Levi and Erwin just looked at the whole ordeal while talking
I shot a glance at Commander Erwin
"Commander Erwin, I just wanted to let you know that Eren in his Titan form never hurted anyone so I hope you do your best to get him to your side" I said as the two looked at me
I was referring to getting him to their side when the trial inevitably happens which the two realized
Erwin nodded at me as Levi looked at me for a bit before making me introduce myself
"August Siegmund from the 104th sir. Also part of the elite squad who helped protect Eren and witnessed him help humanity sir" I said as I looked at them saluting
He just nodded as the survey corps left with Eren being carried
Mikasa and Armin who just arrived and witnessed the whole thing approached me
"What did you mean by getting him on their side August?" Mikasa asked me
I looked at the two as I explained
"The other regiment won't stay silent about this and will try to get Eren for their own purposes, whether to kill or experiment on him. The survey corps will most likely use Eren to get back the walls based on the goal of their regiment
Of course a trial will happen sooner or later as for which Regiment Eren will be put on that's why I said what I said earlier. We need Commander Erwin to win over Eren since that would be Eren's wish as well as humanities hope on the line" I explained
Armin pondered over it for a bit before nodding at me
"That seems like the most possible scenario that would happen. Basically Eren's life depends on the win of the scouts huh..." Armin spoke with a difficult look on his face
Mikasa's eyes widened at our explanation as she started to walk and catch up with the scouts
I just held her back as I grabbed her arm
"Trust them, I think they could win over Eren once he proves when Eren is not humanities enemy. Doing anything stupid right now will just lessen that chance. So for now rest up, you're still injured after all" I said as she slowly stopped resisting
"Eren..." She muttered looking at where the scouts went
And so results in our current situation

Well we still haven't received any news from Eren making Mikasa more and more nervous
Seriously she is so overprotective and I like it...
Anyway as I dumped all the bodies into the mountain of bodies I walked towards Christa and Sasha who was busy cleaning up the stains of blood with a disgusted look
I also grabbed a cloth as I started wiping
"August you're here... Thanks for taking on the job to taking the... Bodies, we might've not be able to do it" Christa spoke in a thankful tone
"Thank you seriously, thanks to you I would still be able to eat properly later..." Sasha spoke who was next to Christa
"Well hard labor is a guy's duty after all... And I wouldn't want the two of you to see it" I said as I wiped the cloth
"Seriously though... We still haven't rested ourselves physically nor mentally and now we are being tasked to clean up those Titans messes... This is slavery" I complained
"Hehe... Its just that the much faster we clean up the city the much faster people would be able to go back here" Christa spoke up laughing at me lightly
"The stock of foods there wouldn't be able to last very long after all" Sasha chimed in
"Also that" Christa nodded at Sasha indicating she was right
"I know that... But do you think people will want to go back here?" I spoke up as I wiped a blood on the ground
Christa shook her head to say no as Sasha looked at us confused
"What do you mean? Wouldn't they come back now since danger is now gone?" Sasha said unsurely
Christa shook her head to say no and said
"The people will hesitate to go back since they are scared that the Colossal might come back and destroy the walls again so they would rather hide in the inner wall..." Christa explained to Sasha
"I see..." Sasha said with her face down as she wiped blood
I then interrupted the awkward atmosphere as I said
"Well, dealing with that would be the Commanders and the seniors job. Us newbies should just do our job of cleaning up" I said as I stood up as I finished the area I was cleaning on
"Come on lets finish this fast, I'm itching to rest and eat..." I said as the two laughed a little at me but nodded nonetheless

We were now back in the eatery as we ate dinner as many people didn't eat or just forced themselves to eat but failed
I am sitting back in the eatery with the others
Looking at the end kf the table, Marco was sitting there with a troubled expression
Yes, he was alive as before I went up on the wall, I told Jean to take Marco in his squad for a bit after a bit of convincing, when he asked about why I just told him I felt like something bad would happen as he nodded and accepted
Connie started a conversation with us
"How were your job in cleaning up? I feel disgusted just by thinking back about all of it" Connie said with a disgusted expression
Sasha happily ate as she ignored Connie
"And how can you eat without being disgusted Sasha? Didn't you see it?" Connie said as he looked at Sasha
"Well August did the heavy lifting and just made us clean up blood" Sasha happily said
"Really? Damn I hope you would be with our squad next time... I can't bear to see those..." Connie said
I just smiled at him
"Still though aren't we lucky that no one from our group died?" Marco said
"Yeah... But for how long?" Jean muttered
And so the awkward atmosphere returned
I talked to Mikasa who was next to me
"Hey are you feeling fine? Is your injury healing?" I asked
Mikasa nodded at me and assured
"I'm fine..." She spoke in a tone of indifference but I could sense that she was worried
"Don't worry, Eren is fine..." I said as I patted her head a little
Soon she calmed down and started eating as well
I noticed everyone was looking at us as I asked
"What?" I confusedly asked
Jean then replied in an annoyed tone
"When did the two of you get so close?" He said in a knitted face
"Facing dangerous situations together creates bond I guess" I just said as I smiled a little at his reaction
Jean didn't seem to believe it but relented nonetheless
Soon we all finished eating as I went back to the dorm
After curfew I didn't go out to train, but I sneaked out to plant some groundworks for my future plans
