After entering the Temple Tower, Ye Chenfeng and the other two realized that this was merely an entrance, seemingly leading directly into the mountain itself.
More astonishingly, the walls on either side of the passage were actually built from human bones. The walls were naturally not smooth; occasionally, skulls would protrude, their empty eyes glaring menacingly at the group.
As they ventured deeper, the chilly, damp air grew increasingly intense. The stench of decaying corpses was utterly nauseating.
"Ah?"
Phoenix, lying on Ye Chenfeng's back, suddenly startled, for there appeared rows of bamboo baskets flanking the passage, horrifically holding the corpses of deceased children with numerous Poisonous Insects and Poison Snakes crawling over them. The grotesque sight was harrowing.
As they reached the depths, the number of corpses increased, accompanied by a heavier presence of sinister forces, transforming into a chilling wind blowing forth.
"Here we are!"
