Ye Wutian quickly reacted; he took a large stride forward, grabbed Ye Lenna's hand, and swiftly executed Step to the Heavens, astonishingly pulling her feet off the ground.
However, just as Ye Wutian was flying through the air with Ye Lenna, a sand tendril as thick as a wrist, seemingly made from flowing sand, suddenly rose from the ground below. Like a Spirit Snake, it shot upward and tightly wound around Ye Lenna's ankles.
"Ah!" Ye Lenna screamed in agony, "Mr. Ye, my feet are caught."
At that moment, Little Qi opened his mouth and spat out a small fireball which severed the sand tendril.
With the tendril cut, the half that was wrapped around Ye Lenna's feet immediately turned into flowing sand and scattered.
"Little Qi, come up here," called Ye Wutian to Little Qi on the ground.
With a leap, Little Qi landed on Ye Wutian's shoulder.
Ye Wutian immediately started stepping through the air, running toward a small hillock nearby.
