"Fou!" Lips parting slightly, Altrouge softly called her beloved hound's name.

Fou, whose attention had been fixated on the duck breast displayed on the shelf of a nearby French bistro, reluctantly shifted its gaze and addressed Altrouge. "Is something the matter, Your Highness?"

"Roa's soul fragment is reacting to that Silver-haired youth holding the croissant up ahead."

Altrouge crouched down, patting Fou's back, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly, her exquisitely crafted face forming an icy smile.

"Shall I eliminate him, Your Highness? The current Roa is human, precisely within the scope of my conceptual counter." Fou grinned, revealing a mouthful of savage fangs.

Fou was confident that, with its Primate Murder privilege, it could make the still-human Roa experience the most profound despair.

"No, no, no. You know the current Roa hasn't awakened yet. That young man is just an ordinary person right now. Killing him would only cause Roa to reincarnate again; it wouldn't affect Roa at all."

Altrouge stroked Fou's smooth white fur, shaking her head slightly.

"Your Highness, then when will Roa awaken?" Fou asked, its tone puzzled.

"I don't know. Only my foolish, deceived sister knows such things." Altrouge frowned slightly. She realized that her side truly couldn't determine Roa's awakening date.

"In that case, Your Highness, let's not worry about this for now. We'll deal with it after we capture that human," Fou grinned.

To it, simply knowing that the person ahead would eventually have their body usurped by Roa was enough. Capture him first, imprison him, and then, when Roa awakens later, torture him thoroughly.

"Alright. Since you suggested it, you can go capture him." Altrouge lightly tapped Fou's small head, deliberately tugging at its rabbit-like ears teasingly.

"Mission guaranteed!" Fou raised its right forepaw as if saluting a superior officer.

In their conversation, both woman and hound treated Haru as meat on the chopping block, ready to be slaughtered at will. After all, Primate Murder held the privilege of life and death over humans. To resist this privilege, one would need to momentarily blur their own human concept—something only extremely high-level Magi could achieve.

And Haru, who had concealed his aura, appeared to them as nothing more than an ordinary youth, aside from being Roa's reincarnation vessel. How far could he possibly run?

"Go quickly. I await your good news." Watching Fou's comical appearance, Altrouge covered her mouth and chuckled softly, gently flicking Fou's rabbit ear.

Fou scampered off on its short legs, trotting to catch up with Haru.

"Was Fou wanting to eat that just now?" Altrouge's gaze turned towards the duck breast on the bistro shelf.

Having lived alongside the White Beast and the Black and White Knights for so many years, Altrouge had long considered them family. Thus, noticing Fou's craving for food, Altrouge had the thought of buying some.

"Well then, I'll buy some as a reward for completing the mission. It's definitely not because I'm hungry," Altrouge muttered, walking into the bistro.

——

Fou bounced along on its short legs, cautiously approaching Haru. As Altrouge's beloved hound, its master's enemy was its enemy. Originally, Fou wanted to bite him dead directly, but it felt that would be letting Roa, who had harmed Her Highness, off too easily.

Besides, the current Roa was still dormant; the young man before it was still an ordinary person. He had to be kept alive to await Roa's awakening.

"Then I'll just scare him half to death!" Fou grinned.

'Poor boy. If you must blame someone, blame God for arranging Roa's reincarnation into you. Wait, no, Roa chooses his own reincarnations. Then you should blame Roa.'

Fou pitied Haru internally while slowly releasing its conceptual aura.

The bustling street suddenly fell silent. The town residents, walking along with smiles on their faces, abruptly stiffened.

In their perception, their biological instincts trembled incessantly.

'Will die—! Will die—! Will die—! Will die—!'

The absolute authority over life and death from a conceptual level manifested. If judged by Noble Phantasm rank, Primate Murder's killing privilege would be roughly A++. The reason it didn't reach EX was due to it being an incomplete product.

When Gaia initially created Fou, the goal was to create Earth's strongest life form, And Fou's primary designed conceptual ability was—Primate Murder!

However, this ability incurred the hatred of the Human Order (Alaya). Thus, under Alaya's interference, Fou became an incomplete product, its EX-rank life-and-death privilege downgraded to A++.

But even an A++ rank privilege meant instant death upon contact for an individual human.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

The sound of liquid dripping onto the ground slowly began. It was the sound of the town residents within the range of Fou's aura urinating where they stood.

They were literally scared witless. Yet, under the intense fear, their bodies lost control, forcing them to stand rigidly on the street, maintaining their previous postures.

Fou glanced at the crowd on the street and nodded in satisfaction. It had used this ability on humans countless times and naturally knew their reactions when faced with its conceptual privilege.

Its mocking gaze turned towards Haru. It couldn't wait to see Haru's miserable state.

"Eh??" Fou stared, dumbfounded like a dog, at Haru who continued walking forward, eating his bread. "What's going on?"

"Awoo—!" A low growl came from Fou's mouth, and an even denser conceptual aura spread out.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

The terrifying aura caused the crowd to collectively collapse to the ground, unconscious.

"Holy crap, what is this situation!" Fou stared dumbfounded at Haru, who remained completely unaffected up ahead.

"Awoo—!"

"Awoo—!"

"Awoo—!"

Fou consecutively called out three times, its aura growing increasingly powerful. Finally, on the last call, Haru reacted, turning around.

Seeing this, Fou breathed a huge sigh of relief. Having a reaction was good. If he hadn't reacted any further, it would have started doubting if it was dreaming.

Then, Fou felt its ear being gently grasped, then lifted up and held in someone's arms.

"Wow, a rare breed of cat? I'll take it home and raise it."

Fou looked utterly bewildered. It seemed to have been mistaken for—a pet.
