●Tribulations:
Whenever a cultivator wishes to advance to a higher realm, they must endure a Tribulation. These "Tribulations" or "Calamities" manifest as life-threatening incidents. A cultivator must overcome their Tribulation to survive and progress. (Think of it like the deadly accidents in Final Destination).
When a cultivator reaches the peak of a given realm, a Tribulation will emerge. However, the exact timing of its appearance is random. Even so, cultivators facing a Tribulation can sense what it's connected to.
