Of course, strap into that thing that looks like a torture device'. He thought inwardly but still sat atop the chair while they strapped him in and put a helmet that had a lot of wires going in it to the chair and them out of the room.
"Now this procedure shouldn't take long. Once you're in, your body will automatically choose the system that is best compatible to you". A man in his early thirties said. He had a shaved beard and almond eyes with brown hair.
He looked like someone that isn't supposed to be in this type of place. "Wait isn't everyone using the same system". Michael asked when he heard the word choose.
"Of course not. We didn't create the system, we just found it by chance. And most people use the very basic system so it gives the impression that everyone is using the same system." The man replied.
"So what are the best kind of systems?". Michael asked again but the man didn't answer him and instead started prepping the machine.
'Great, I have no idea what am getting into. I just hope that it is a normal system so I can live a normal life'. He said to himself inwardly while hoping for the best.
The helmet emitted a blue light and the chair followed suit. Michael felt his head slowly spinning and reality becoming hazy to him. He wanted to say something but felt if he did, he would vomit.
The world before his eyes vanished and he was now in a clear blue space. He was floating and there seemed to be certain words floating along with him in this blue space. He couldn't see an end to them and he couldn't see an end to anything.

"Wait, woah". He said when he saw the words appear in his line of sight. Even when he turned left or right, they managed to stay in his line of sight and if he closed his eyes he would still see the words.
"So this is the system they were talking about. What is this universal system stuff it was talking about."

"What the f*ck is happening". Michael asked but he got no answer. The system continued searching.

The universal system said again but still continued searching for a system for Michael.

Michael was no longer shocked. He was just afraid. What if the universal system could not find any system that was compatible with him. Would he be a systemless awakened. He was not sure but he had a feeling that someone without a system could not get very far in life. In fact he would just be another random normal human who has abilities.

"It cannot fail here. If I am not compatible with even an S Ranked system, then its better that I don't even try again".

Michael felt his heart break to pieces, he was now a failure. If he was not compatible with any of the S rank systems, them he was as good as a goner.
[Switching to Upper realm systems]
"Eh. What upper realm systems is it talking about". He said but the system still did not answer him and continued searching for a system compatible with him.
[If there is no system compatible with host even in the Upper realm systems, the host's soul will be eviscerated and he will be turned into a system to prevent any such anomalies from living and posing a threat to the universal system]
"What but I haven't even done anything and you wanna eviscipate my soul. Its not my fault that no system is compatible with me". Michael did not want to believe that the universal system could eviscerate his soul, but he did not want to check that theory out.
"Please mighty Universal System, do not eviscerate my soul". He begged but the system did not say anything else and continued.
[Searching for compatibility with Upper realm systems. . .]
It continued to search for the system but it took a lot longer than when it was searching for the others. Michael seemed to feel his life hanging by a very thin thread. If it could not find a system for him, his life will be ended before it even started.

At first he thought the system was taking its time to kill him but when the time passed by what it should for any joke, he began to be afraid.
[System compatible with host found . . .
"Yes". He screamed in the blue space.
[Host compatible with the Ankh system from the Upper Realm.]
[The system and the host will now be fused]
[Fusing. . .]
Michael felt a slight pain in his back until the pain was very scorching and he felt his back peeling away but when he looked and saw that it was just a flash of light on his back that made him feel such pain, he felt a little ashamed.
[Fusing. . .]
[Fusion complete. Host and system are now fused. Procedure completed]
Michaelsaw those last words before his vision darkened and he was back in the room where he had been strapped to a chair.
A man seemed to be pointing a flash light in his eye while the other people in the room including captain 'what's his name again'.
"He seems to be coming back". He said and backed away from Michael.
The helmet was no longer in his head but he felt like something heavy was still on his head.
"Why did it take so much time". Captain wegener asked but the brown haired man shrugged. He was as clueless as the rest of them.
"How long was I out". Michael asked when he heard their words. He knew he had been gone for a while but he didn't know how long. "About thirty minutes".the man with brown hair said.
"But why did it take that long, unless he got a very system with a very high rank." Captain wegener said with his brows furrowed.
"Maybe". One of the women in the room said. "Let's ask him". She said.
"What is the rank of your system?". She asked him but it took a while for it to make sense to him before trying to say.
{Don't say anything yet host. We have not fused finished and we wouldn't want them to know that I am from the upper realm. Who knows what they could do to us}. Michael suddenly heard a soft feminine voice say in his head but because he was still shaken rom everything that had happened so far, he was in a daze.
{Just say you have a nameless C Rank system. It can't explain why you took so much time, but neither can they explain the universal system}. It said again and this time he did as the system said.
"I have a C rank system". He said still unsure of himself but since the system told him to not say anything, he wouldn't.
"What is the name of the system?". They asked again, refusing to believe that he hadn't gotten at least a B rank system.
"It doesn't have a name".
"Are you sure?". The man asked but Michael nodded. "Then am afraid its nothing more than a pawn system". The man said with a bit of regret in his voice.
"What's a pawn system". Michael asked but the man replied blandly. "Your system will explain what it is to you. Mr wegener . . ."He turned to wegener before continuing " . . .The two of you will have to leave. He had taken the time that other people would have used to get their system".
He said in a distasteful tone. Mr wegener didn't care about what he said and Michael was still lost in thought to hear what he said.
Michael stood up, still lost in thought and left with Mr wegener. 'How do I talk to the system without alerting anybody'. Michael thought in his head.
He may have been away from civilization for five years but he still remembered the humans that he had left behind. He saw the look of greediness that shone in the brown haired man eyes.
{Am right here host}. The system said to him reassuringly but the feminine voice made him wary a little.
'You can hear all my thoughts'. He asked.
{Only the thoughts that the host allows for me to hear}. The system said again to which Michael nodded.
'What did you mean by we have not finished fusion'. Michael asked.
{We had only fused ten percent when we were ejected from the universal system space. I estimate in the next one hour, we would have finished fusing and the system's abilities will be open.}
'Okay. Does it have any relation to you being an Upper realm system?'.
{I do not know, I have no memory about anything other than what the universal system wants me to know}
The system said again. Michael just nodded.
"Captain wegener . . ." he turned to look at him "has there been any case of a system that can talk?". Michael asked.
"No, there hasn't. If that were possible then it would be a system that is at least in the A rank". He said.
"What are the ranks of systems again. Please enlighten me since I do not know anything about it". Michael pleaded. The captain looked at him again before nodding his head.
Mr wegener told him the type of systems that existed and was as followed.
"E rank, D rank, C rank, B rank, A rank, S rank and SS rank."
'System, is there actually a SS rank'. He said to the system inwardly.
{Though I have not completed the fusing process, I can tell you information regarding to that. There is indeed an SS rank}
'Then why did the universal system jump straight to Upper realm rank.' He was confused.
{Sorry host. But I am unable to give you that information at the moment}
'Are you serious?' Michael asked with his left eyebrow raised up.
{Fusing process 15 percent . . .} the system kept counting down while Michael followed captain wegener back to the airship.
By that time twenty minutes had past and the fusion process was in the 30 percent stage.
