Uchiha Ikeizumi's cold voice caused a hint of despair to cross Seisui's face in his final moments. "Today, in the name of [Absolute Justice], you are judged."
He staggered forward, clutching his chest, trying to turn back, but his vision darkened. "Ev-evidence...?"
"You did erase the marks on the corpse, but you cannot erase its memory," Ikeizumi said, flicking blood from his blade. "The Military Police will hand the body over to the Yamanaka clan. You should be familiar with their secret techniques."
"The evidence you seek may be burned by your clan after your death—if they forgive your matricide."
Seisui seemed drained of all strength and collapsed.
Just as he fell, Hayate arrived, hastily supporting his brother's body, pressing his hand against the gaping wound to stem the bleeding.
"Seisui! Hold on! I'll bring medical ninjas!"

Hayate froze.
Seisui pushed his hand away.
