Aiden shifted in the booth, a sense of restlessness washing over him as he realized his wife had been gone for quite some time.
"Excuse me," he said firmly to the men at the table before rising, disregarding any comments they might have made about staying put.
With purpose, he strode in the direction he had seen Ariel go, scanning the crowd for a glimpse of her or someone who resembled her.
He was starting to wonder where he had gone but he was also ready to uncover where she'd disappeared to.
He looked at the center of the club and saw only unfamiliar people dancing to the slow music, he immediately removed his eyes and searched somewhere else; he knew Ariel wouldn't have suddenly gone dancing.
He searched further by walking toward the other side of the club but he suddenly remembered that Ariel had told him that she was going to take a call.
