Although, despite their wild imaginations running rampant, the situation outside wasn't nearly as dramatic as they were making it out to be.
Seated across from Chisato was Kudou Miyoko, the secretary of Youko.
She was indeed elegant and well-presented. Chisato had learned a lot about her from his future mother-in-law, including why she had remained single until now.
Being busy was one reason, and having high standards was another.
But that was getting off-topic…
Kudou Miyoko's presence here was, of course, due to special arrangements made by Youko before her departure.
She knew that Chisato was a young man with ambition, talent, and ability—what he lacked was simply experience in the industry.
And having someone like Kudou Miyoko, who had been running around with Youko since her official debut, accumulating vast experience and skills, to assist him through the early stages of his venture was undoubtedly the best choice.
Chisato naturally wouldn't refuse such goodwill.
They were family, after all. If he insisted on declining, it would just create unnecessary distance between them.
That said, he did feel a little bad for Kudou Miyoko.
Apparently, after learning that her boss would be taking a break, she had originally planned to relax a bit herself, even scheduling a few matchmaking parties with her friends.
Now, with unexpected work dropped onto her lap, all those plans had gone up in smoke.
Though she had been a little frustrated upon hearing the news, this was still work.
Besides, the person she was assisting was an exceptionally good-looking young man, and her boss had sworn she would introduce her to a good man in the future…
If it had been before, Kudou Miyoko wouldn't have believed such a promise.
Given her boss's predatory nature, if there were a good man available, she would have taken him for herself—why would she leave him for someone else?
But considering how unusually abstinent Youko had been lately, Miyoko thought she might have a slight reason to hope.
"This is the copy of the ID you asked for, Miss Kudou. I've also filled out my residential address and contact information.
Here's my personal seal, and I've made several notarized copies of it as you instructed… Then, regarding the registered bank account… funds… trademarks… company name… business scope…"
Chisato invited Kudou Miyoko to sit at the table, handed her a drink, and then retrieved his backpack before sitting beside her.
As he explained, he took out various documents filled with dense text and placed them in front of her.
This was precisely why he had yet to explain things to his bandmates.
The process of establishing a company was extremely tedious.
Even though he had researched the general steps online in advance, when it came time to execute them, he still found himself overwhelmed.
At times like this, having a professional by his side was invaluable.
Kudou Miyoko did not disappoint. On August 1st, she had invited Chisato to her office for a detailed consultation, explaining all the necessary preparations for company registration.
She had also provided him with pre-prepared forms and documents, and to ensure he didn't get confused later, she even compiled a detailed list and sent it to his phone.
It was practically a babysitter-level service.
Through their interactions, Chisato gradually understood why Youko had so much faith in Kudou Miyoko and why she held her in such high regard.
Despite her delicate appearance, she was incredibly capable.
Without her assistance, Chisato figured he would have eventually ended up using a professional registration agency to handle the process.
The additional financial cost was one thing, but the time lost would have been another major factor.
Kudou Miyoko methodically went through the documents, carefully reviewing each one and sorting them into different folders.
The two of them spent about half an hour confirming everything.
"Hm… Not bad. Chisato, you did much better than I expected. There's not a single missing or incorrect document."
"Well, you did explain everything so thoroughly the other day, Miss Kudou. If I still managed to mess something up after that, I'd really have no excuse."
"Haha, I wish the president could hear you say that."
"What about Youko?"
"The president? Back in the day—no, even now, she pushes all company matters onto me and doesn't involve herself at all.
I really don't get it. When I first joined the company, I was just a fresh graduate, yet she wasn't the least bit worried that I might mess things up."
"Doesn't that just prove Youko's sharp judgment? It also speaks volumes about your outstanding capabilities, Miss Kudou."
"Oh, stop flattering me. If I didn't already know you were Kazusa's boyfriend, I might have accidentally fallen for you."
After some lighthearted banter, they quickly returned to business.
Kudou Miyoko tapped the stack of documents on the table.
"I'll draft the official registration paperwork and submit it to the Japanese Legal Affairs Bureau after notarization.
If everything goes smoothly, the registration process should be completed in about twenty business days."
Chisato was slightly surprised.
"That's longer than I expected."
Kudou Miyoko smiled.
"That's how things work in Japan. The government is still using equipment from the last century.
Honestly, fax machines are probably only still commonly found in developed countries like Japan.
I've registered companies overseas before—the procedures weren't as tedious, and approval was much faster. But there's nothing we can do about it. Just be patient and wait."
"Thanks for all your help."
"No need to be so formal. Just treat me to a meal sometime."
"That's a given. I'll also prepare something extra as a thank-you."
"No need for that. The president already gave me a bonus for the extra work. If I take another reward from you, I'll start feeling guilty."
"Chisato, do you know whose car that is outside? It's parked right in front of the store."
As the two were talking, Seika walked into the shop and called out from a distance.
Kudou Miyoko immediately stood up.
"My apologies. I'll move it right away."
"Oh… okay."
"Chisato, let's stay in touch over the phone regarding your company's registration progress. I'll be going now."
"Thanks again, Miss Kudou."
Kudou Miyoko gave him a small smile before leaving.
As she passed Seika, she politely nodded and whispered another apology.
"Who was that? Your new fling?"
Seika sat down beside Chisato and half-jokingly asked.
Chisato shrugged and replied in kind.
"Funny, she was probably thinking the same thing."
With that, he turned and headed toward the recording studio.
Leaving Seika sitting there, replaying the exchange in her mind—only to belatedly realize what he had implied, causing her face to flush slightly.
___
In case you're kinda dense, Chisato implied to Seika that perhaps Kudou Miyoko also thought of her (Seika) as Chisato's new fling. Therefore Seika blushes.
