"You better go get your things ready to leave."
Hearing that, Stacy frowned as she turned around and went upstairs, leaving Vanessa and Rowen alone as Vivian left soon after.
Turning around to leave, Vanessa was stopped in her tracks by Rowen as he held her by her hands. "Vanessa, I'm happy that you are back," he said gently.
Vanessa just frowned, turning to face him. "Me being back doesn't mean I've forgiven you for what you did. I am only here because this is my house and I am your wife, but I haven't forgotten what you have done," she said, her words sharp.
"How should I make it up to you?" he asked her, his words slow yet calm as usual, but Vanessa didn't bring down that spiteful attitude.
"There's nothing to make up to me, Rowen. Until the day she finally leaves this house, this matter won't settle. Alright?"
Saying that, she turned around and left, this time not letting Rowen stop her.
