In Sabaody, Duval stood proudly in front of the Thousand Sunny. Since the crew's disappearance, Duval had taken it upon himself to protect the Straw Hat Pirates' beloved ship, along with his gang. It wasn't an easy task—pirates, bounty hunters, and every kind of scum imaginable had tried to raid the ship, but Duval held strong.
Today, however, something was different. A massive crowd of shady-looking people gathered on the outskirts of the area, their eyes fixed on the Sunny. Duval clenched his fists, prepared for a fight. His crewmen stood behind him, looking uneasy.
One of his men, a burly fisherman, spoke up, "Duval, we can't hold them off! There's too many!"
But Duval owed his handsomeness to Sanji, and that was more important than his life. He would die to protect the ship if he had to, but just as he braced himself for the inevitable fight, the pirates approaching him came to a halt. One of them held up a crumpled wanted poster—Sanji's, with Duval's old face still plastered on it.
"Are you Duval?" the pirate asked, his voice uncertain, yet hopeful. "The guy from this wanted poster?"
Duval's expression twisted as he stared at the poster showing his former face. Every time he saw it, it was like reliving the nightmare of looking like a goddamn frog. He wanted to burn that piece of paper right there. Still, he nodded slowly, his pride bruised but intact. "Yeah, that's me."
The group of pirates suddenly lit up, cheering as if they had found salvation itself. "We found him! The Savior... Our savior!"
Duval and his gang stared in disbelief as wave after wave of pirates approached, all of them former inmates of Impel Down, all eager to join his crew. The sheer number of them was overwhelming, and Duval, along with his gang, had no idea what was going on. These weren't just a few outlaws—hundreds of tough-looking men had suddenly decided that Duval was their leader. The guy whose ugly face used to be on Sanji's wanted poster!
Meanwhile, back in Loguetown, on the East Blue, a man with pink hair and a lean, muscular build suddenly appeared. His sharp eyes scanned the busy streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling port town.
Coby launched himself into the air using Geppo, his feet lightly tapping against the sky as he soared over Loguetown. His sharp eyes scanned the horizon as he muttered, "Where is she..." He left Logue Town, moving towards North, towards Red Line that separating East Blue from North. He remembered it was snowing at the time.
Coby hovered above Calm Belt, scanning the tranquil waters below. "I hope I can catch her," he muttered, glancing around. The Calm Belt was eerily still, no current or storm in sight, making it impossible for any ship to escape his view. With a slight adjustment in the air, he focused his hearing, honing in on the slightest hint of a ship.
"Gotcha," he smirked as he saw distant silhouette of a ship. With one powerful kick of Geppo, he rocketed down toward the Revolutionaries' ship.
As Coby landed with a soft thud on the deck, the Revolutionaries sprang into action, weapons drawn and eyes wide with alarm. The tension was palpable, but it didn't last long. Recognition flickered across the crew's faces as they realized who he was—the Vice-Captain of the Straw Hats.
"Stand down!" came the call from one of the officers. Guns were lowered, but the crew still seemed on edge, unsure what to expect.
Coby waved casually, flashing a disarming grin. Before he could say anything, a figure bolted across the deck, jumping straight into his arms.
"Coby!" Robin's voice was filled with relief and warmth. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, almost knocking him off balance with the force of her hug.
He chuckled, holding her close. "Hey, Robin," he murmured, leaning into the embrace. Her presence was calming, and he could feel the tension melting away as she held him.
"You came all this way..." Robin pulled back slightly, her eyes searching his face for answers. "Is Luffy alright?"
"Yeah, he's safe. I just... wanted to see you," Coby replied, his grin softening as he met her gaze. "Thought I would catch up before things get too hectic again."
A few Revolutionaries exchanged looks, unsure whether to interrupt or leave the two alone. One cleared his throat awkwardly, catching Coby's attention. "Coby the Copy Ninja, are you staying long, or should we inform the commander?"
Coby, still holding Robin, said with a casual grin, "Inform Dragon-san that I'll be visiting Baltigo." His tone was relaxed, but the Revolutionaries around him tensed immediately. Whispers spread through the crew as they exchanged wary glances. Baltigo, their secret haven, was a name that even among their ranks wasn't casually spoken.
The officer closest to them hesitated for a moment, his eyes narrowing. "How do you know about Baltigo?" he asked, his voice edged with suspicion.
Coby let out a light chuckle, giving Robin a gentle squeeze before stepping forward. "You can tell him it was I who rescued Ivankov from Impel Down," he said with a knowing smirk. "I've got crucial news about another friend of theirs. Trust me, he'll understand."
The Revolutionaries glanced at each other, visibly shaken by the revelation. One of them finally nodded, backing away to deliver the message. Coby's casual demeanor was enough to show that he wasn't concerned about being tested or doubted.
Coby turned to Robin, his grin widening. "Bet you weren't expecting me to drop in like this, huh?"
She smiled warmly, her eyes showing relief and affection. "You always manage to surprise me."
Coby then pulled Robin towards the lower deck, his hand grasping hers firmly. Once they were out of sight, he quickly glanced around to make sure no one was spying on them. When he was sure they were alone, he held her in his embrace, his lips finding hers with a quiet intensity. "I missed you," he whispered against her mouth, the warmth of his breath mingling with hers. Robin responded by kissing him again, her arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer.
Breaking away for just a moment, she looked into his eyes, a teasing smile tugging at her lips. "Why are you going to Baltigo?" she asked, her voice soft yet curious.
Coby grinned, his arms still wrapped around her. "I copied Kuma's powers," he explained casually, as if it were the simplest thing in the world. "I'll be able to travel instantly. Once I get to Baltigo, I can record the location so I can visit you whenever I want."
Robin raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed but not entirely surprised. "So, you're planning to sneak into the Revolutionaries' headquarters just so we can spend more time together?"
Coby's grin widened, his confidence shining through. "Of course. I want to see my girl and make sure we get to spend some quality time, wherever you are." He kissed her again, a quick, teasing peck before pulling back slightly.
Robin's smile turned more playful. "Well, you better not get caught," she warned lightly, though her tone suggested she trusted him completely.
"Don't worry about me," Coby assured her, his hand trailing down her arm before intertwining their fingers. "Besides, Dragon already knows I'm coming. Let's just say I've got important business with him. You know, besides you."
Robin chuckled softly at his casual tone leaning in for another kiss. "I want to become your only business, but I know how busy you can be."
