"I need time to think about everything," Olivia said. All the information that she just heard from Marcus crammed in her mind. She couldn't think straight, and for a moment she thought her brain was going to explode.
"I will drive you back home." Marcus was still unable to look Olivia right in the eyes. He was ashamed.
"No, there is no need for that." Olivia stood up. Her mind was trying to process everything. Her body was shaking, but she didn't realize that; yet, Marcus saw it.
"You are in shock." He pointed it out. "It will be dangerous for you to drive. I promise I will not do anything. I will just drive you back."
And Marcus kept his promise. He drove her back to her apartment and immediately left. On their way back, neither of them said anything. It was very quiet inside the car, but it was so loud in their mind.
