It is a forbidden ancient art that witches would use to bind demons within human flesh using enchanted tattoos, imprisoning them within living vessels.
Of course, the bearer of the mark has to be strong mentally for if he wavers, the demon takes over. While it cannot escape as the tattoo burns its essence, the human can become prone to committing evil acts like mass murder. He trapped the most dangerous demon within himself.
