Time: unknown, Location:... Elliott Manor

A person walked through the halls, each footstep echoing with a thump. His attire varied slightly from what other humans might typically wear, primarily because he was a servant, a different kind from the worker drones that patrol the hallways.

He had some places to be, but knowing his luck, there would be something that distracted him from his task.

"Clank, clank, clank"

And just as he expected, here comes one of those distractions he mentioned. He turned sideways, his body moved with his head as he looked back, staring at the corner.

Suddenly, a girl a few years younger than him ran around the corner. Looking over towards him, she waved her hand before walking over.

???: Y/n!

Y/n: Well, if it isn't the troublemaker Tessa

Tessa: hehe

Y/n: So, what can I help you with?

Tessa: Come on, don't be so formal with me, when it's just you and me. You know that.

Y/N: Ha, well, do you remember what happened last time we acted too close when your family was around?

Tessa: Yeah… I know… but it's just us two, so come on.

With a smile, she stepped closer and brushed her shoulder against his while looking up at him.

Tessa: and plus I want to show you something I found.

She turned her shoulder slightly, revealing a small worker drone that gradually came into view behind her.

The tiny drone wore a grey overall maid dress with black trim, a white apron, and a white inner dress with a large black bow tie.

Y/n: another one, I bet your mother and father won't be happy.

Tessa: Yeah, well, I just wanted to save one more.

Y/n: "chuckles" Well then, lovely to meet you… What's your name?

The drone looks at Tess for confirmation on whether or not to let him know her name.

Tessa: Go ahead, it's alright.

???:c…cyn.

Y/n: Huh, that's a neat name, but for some reason, you look more like a mango. Ehhh, that's probably my imagination. Well, it's nice to meet you, Cyn. I'm y/n.

He raised his hand and patted the drone on the head a few times. The drone's eyes widened for a moment before a small smile appeared.

Y/n: I'd love to continue this conversation, but your father needs me to take care of something. I should get back to it soon, so I'll see you later, Tessa, and you too, Cyn!

He started walking away from the two but took one more look back at them.

Y/n: Oh, and also tell J to stop kicking my door. I know she dislikes me, but come on, it's the only room I have.

Tesse: Oh, uh, will do y/n!

present day

"Ring ring"

??? : Okay class, that will be all for today, and since I can't give two shits about your education, there will be no homework.

Some of the drones cheered and celebrated the news. However, one drone looked around nervously, as if she were expecting to be called out by a drone a few chairs in front of her.

She wasn't sure why she hadn't said anything yet, but Uzi wasn't sticking around to find out.

She quickly tried to make her way out of the room before any drone could talk to her. However, life isn't that simple.

Teacher: "Sighs." Wait a moment, Uzi.

She slowly turned her head to look at the teacher.

Teacher: Please tell your father to stop trying to add me to his door simulator game. I also need him to stop by later to fix the door to my home.

He looked away from her before she could even respond to him.

Teacher: Thanks, Uzi.

She just shook it off as she continued on her way out. She made her way over to her school locker.

When she opened it, she grabbed a few things from inside. Then, there was a sudden loud bang beside her head.

She looked over to see a hand that belonged to the drone she didn't want to talk to.

Lizzy: So like what happened to that pretty cute guy from yesterday?

Uzi just sighed as she fully turned to look at Lizzy. There was another drone beside her, but she focused on Lizzy.

Uzi: You don't want to mess with him, Lizzy. He is dangerous.

Lizzy: cute and dangerous, that only makes me want to meet him even more, drone girl.

Uzi: Wait, you don't even know my name?

Lizzy: You're weird, and I'm popular. So why would I keep storage in my bank for your name? Even my bestie here wants to meet him.

She pointed over towards doll who was just giving a thumbs up.

Uzi: Agh, I'm doing this for your sake. You're better off not knowing him.

Lizzy: Or is it because you're trying to keep him for yourself, perhaps?

Uzi: Ew, no, I'm not taking you to him, and you can bite me for it!

Uzi quickly stormed off before the two could find information about where y/n was.

Lizzy crosses her arms underneath her robotic chest while she looks at the doll.

Lizzy: Agh, what's her problem?

Doll: Maybe it's that time of the month?

Lizzy: How? We are literally robots.

Doll shrugged her shoulders, basically saying she had no idea how it was possible.

Uzi was making her way from the two. She couldn't get that stupid thought out of her head for whatever reason. Her liking of y/n was ridiculous, after all, humans were the reason her mother was dead.

Though something has been bugging her since that morning, for whatever reason, she keeps getting a feeling that she should be getting closer to… him. But why did she feel that way?

Without warning, as she was about to turn the corner, she smacked right into something, causing her to fall. She also heard a slight ball-like sound bouncing a few feet away.

???: Oh wow, Uzi, I didn't see you there.

Uzi looked at the culprit, recognizing Thad.

Uzi: W-why do you know my name?

Thad: Haha, well, it's pretty hard not to know who Khan's daughter is.

Uzi: Agh.

She attempted to stand but noticed he had his hand extended towards her. She glanced at it for a moment before swatting it away.

Uzi: I don't need your pity, Thad.

Thad: Oh, uh, no, it's not like that at all.

Uzi: Uh-huh, sure. Listen, I have to be somewhere else, so I'm leaving.

Thad: W-Wait a second, Uzi!

Uzi: Sigh, what now?

Thad: I was actually looking for you, Uzi.

Uzi paused for a moment to absorb what he had just said. Then, she stepped back and raised her arms defensively, panic flooding her face.

Uzi: W-w-What do you want?

Thad: The class is hosting a party later today, and I wanted to let you know because, well, you're really cool.

Uzi could feel her face heating up even more from his words.

Uzi: Why am I being told about this so late?

Thad: Well, it's because of Lizzy. You know how she is with people like you.

Uzi: But why are you telling me this?

Thad: It would be fun to get to know you better and take you out for a few dances.

Uzi was stunned by what he had just said. Although she had a slight crush on him, hearing him suggest that he wanted to take her out felt surreal.

Uzi: Agh, bit me!

Storming off, she left Thad alone, who watched her go before calling out again.

Thad: So, is that a yes?

someplace else

Uzi entered her room and tossed her backpack into the corner.

Y/n: Tough day?

Uzi: What does it look like?!

Y/n: Relax; there's no need to be rude about it.

Uzi: Ugh, it's nothing. I'm just trying to protect them from you, but all they talk about is where you are because, sarcastically, you're so appealing! Now I've been asked out by Thad, and this day keeps getting weirder.

Y/n: Hehe Well, I can't help it if I look good —

Y/n choked on his own words for a moment there as he almost said the most cringy line ever.

Uzi: Agh! I want the other worker drones to actually think about our situation.

Y/n: What do you mean?

Uzi: What do you think? We got these overly hot disassembly drones outside and all we have to protect ourselves are these three fucking doors.

She facepalmed after her last sentence at the fact that they are pretty much fucked if the doors were ever to be breached.

Y/n: Hmm, hey. So I actually wanted to ask about these blueprints, which I assume you're working on.

For the last hour while Uzi was taking her class, y/n had been looking around the room and stumbled upon some blueprints with what seemed to be a gun.

Uzi: That stupid thing?

She walked over to y/n, looking at the schematics beside her desk.

Uzi: I thought it could help protect us, but the problem was that we don't have any of the parts needed to make it.

Y/n: Was that why you were out there when I got tossed into a wall?

She stared at him for a moment before an awkward smile rose on her face, along with one of her hands in the shape of a thumbs-up.

Y/N: Well, anyway, don't give up. What you have here is an excellent idea, especially if you want to fight back against the disassembly drones.

Uzi:… you know we're still meant to be enemies, right?

Y/n: You know what they say: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Uzi: …That's a bit cheesy.

Y/n: Oh, great. It's just what I needed—a confidence boost.

They stood silently for a moment, examining the blueprints, but Uzi's gaze kept wandering to Y/n. For some reason, her expression softened as she looked at him.

Finally, Uzi turned away, a blush crossing her face, and hit him on the shoulder.

Y/n: Ouch! What was that for, Uzi?

Uzi: Quit trying to be all chummy with me.

She folded her arms and tilted her head, observing his reaction with one eye open.

Uzi: And if that bothers you, bite me!

For y/n, it was somewhat funny how Uzi had a habit of throwing in the phrase "bite me" during their chats. It reminded him of another drone he had known some time ago, and now that he thought about it, Uzi resembled that drone in many ways.

He was just letting his imagination run wild, playing tricks on him.

Y/n: Hey, uh, this part right here that looks like a ball—a power core, right?

Uzi: Oh, uh, yeah, it is. From what I've seen, the only place that might have one is that creepy disassembly drone sex dungeon.

Y/n stared at her for a moment, trying to wrap his head around what a disassembly drone sex dungeon was.

Uzi: sigh, it's the big tower of dead worker drones.

Y/n: Oh… that only makes it slightly less weird.

Y/n thought for a moment he might know a place, but… No, he couldn't go there, not without her.

Uzi: Thanks for considering my weapon, but it's really not possible without the power source.

Uzi: Sigh. Besides that, I should start preparing for something I'm going to attend later.

Y/n: "teasingly" Oh, does it have anything to do with this thad guy, hmmm.

Uzi: Agh! What is it to you, huh?

Y/n: Nothing. I'm just bored out of my mind, so a bit of chatting wouldn't hurt.

Uzi stopped walking for a moment, looking over at him before turning her head back to her closet.

Y/n: And maybe I could be a little help to you.

Uzi: What do you mean?

Y/n: Well, I don't want to brag, but I'm actually a bit of a player back in my day.

Uzi: You… a player, really?

Y/n: Hey, don't let the looks fool you. Back in my day, I could bag a guy's wife; hell, there was even a time when I was seeing two dro-

Uzi: Oh… you're one of those types of humans who like to be with drones.

Her eyes narrowed at him like he was some nasty creature.

Y/n: Wait, wait, just a second so I can explain.

Uzi: Alright, I'll bite w-

Y/n: Whoa, kinky, I see.

Suddenly, a pillow smacked hard into his face. He just stood there as it slowly slid down, and he saw a madly blushing Uzi looking at him.

Y/n: Haha, sorry! Just kidding. To explain, it was an experiment. I eventually got close with them, and we became a thing until... well, that part isn't necessary for you to know.

Uzi: Uh-huh... right. I think I'll trust my instincts over a human's.

Y/n: Sure, just offer some help, that's all I need.

Uzi: It's not like that. He just wants to get to know me… wait, why am I sharing this with you? Ugh, stop trying to get close to me.

A small tick mark appeared in the corner of her eye on the screen, and Y/n chuckled, finding her kind of cute when she tried to be sassy.

Uzi: Now turn around.

Y/n: Why? What for?

Uzi: What do you think?

y/n shrugged his shoulders, having no idea which Uzi had just grabbed at her face in an exhausted manner.

Uzi: I need to change into something better than just my jacket.

Y/n: Oh, I see.

y/n complied, turning around to give her privacy.

Y/n: I never understood why you all have working parts.

Uzi: Why don't you ask those jerks at our parent company, JC Jensen?

Y/n: Ha, if only that were possible. Wait a second. Are you just wearing a jacket????

Uzi: Yeah, so?

Y/n: You mean there's nothing under that jacket?

Uzi: Ugh, of course I'm wearing something underneath! I'm not like that one disassembly drone.

Y/n: Wait, one of the disassembly drones is naked?

Uzi: Yes, the one that was chasing you. How did you not notice?

Y/n:...

Uzi: What?

Y/n: Oh, it's nothing.

Uzi: OK, well anyways I'm done..... Are you going to turn around?

Y/n turned to look at Uzi but was taken aback by what she was wearing.

(image here)

Y/n: Wow, that's quite a bold outfit.

Uzi: Don't assume I'm revealing this to you because I want to. We're in the same room, and I need someone to give me their opinion on how it looks.

Y/n: Well, it looks good on you, and as I said, pretty bold for a first date.

Uzi: I told you it isn't like that.

Y/n: Then why are you wearing that outfit?

Uzi: because if for a party.

Y/n: Oh.

Uzi: Well, I will be gone for a bit, so make sure no one sees you.

Y/N: Yeah, yeah, I get it. Don't be seen, or I'll feel your wrath, right?

Uzi: Hmph, looks like you remember. I'm off then.

Uzi walked towards the door, leaving Y/N alone. He looked around for a moment before his eyes went back towards the weapon's blueprint.

She was correct about the weapon. It would definitely inflict significant damage on the disassembly drones. And from the sounds of it, they aren't going after the one in the tower hell. He barely made it out last time, so even he was doubtful about returning inside.

While shuffling some papers, he heard the door swing open behind him.

Y/n: What's wrong, forgot something?

He didn't get a response, which was unusual given how Uzi usually communicated with him.

???: It can't be... Y/n? But you're dead, this can't be.

The voice behind him definitely wasn't Uzi; it came from a much older sounding drone.

He looked over and saw the worker drone from before, the one with the questionable mustache. Only now, in a closer setting, could he finally understand who was before him.

Y/n: Well, I'll be damned! I sure wasn't expecting to see you, Khan.

The two stood still, watching each other for a moment, surprised to see one another, especially after all this time.

The two stepped forward, and Khan grasped Y/n's hand, still uncertain if what lay before him was real. Y/n shook his hand, demonstrating to Khan that he was, indeed, a living being.

Khan: S-Same back to you, Y/n. How… are you…. wait, what are you doing in my daughter's room?

Y/n: Oh, uh, wait, your daughter?

Khan: Yes, my daughter, this is her room.

Y/n: Wait, Uzi is your daughter.

Khan: Yes

Y/n: Wow, I never expected you to end up with someone Khan.

Khan: Well.. Can we talk somewhere else for the better?

Y/n: Well, sure.

Khan motioned him with his hand as he walked out from the Uzi room.

Y/n: Wait, but why were you heading into Uzi's room?

Khan: "sigh" it… I'm just checking in on her drawings.

Y/n: Drawing?

Khan: It's nothing you don't need to know. Now then, in here.

Khan led y/n into a room labeled as the Doorman. The place resembled a carpenter's workshop where they plan their projects.

However, at the end, there was another door with… nori crazy drawing written on it.

Khan: I see you noticed.

y/n: Why do you have a door with Nori's name on it?

Khan: That's actually why I wanted to talk about this in here. I don't want Uzi to overhear us discussing the past.

y/n: But why is this door here?

Khan: Well, after you disappeared, you left Nori by herself, and after many months, we assumed you died. She was really struggling for a while.

y/n: Uh huh.

Khan: After everything, she and I got together, and eventually, we had Uzi…

Khan observed y/n's expression, waiting for a reaction, but y/n kept a composed look.

Khan: Do you follow what I'm saying? This book about explaining to deceased individuals that their girlfriends have moved on isn't genuinely clarifying anything, is it?

Y/N: No, I understand what you mean.

Khan: You do?

Y/N: Yeah, I figured that might happen when many years passed. I didn't think she'd wait for me indefinitely.

Y/n: But where is she? I haven't seen her around here or in the halls.

Khan: "coughing" well, she… is dead, Y/n.

Y/n stepped back, stunned by the news. He never anticipated Nori's death, and hearing it hit him hard—after all, he and Nori shared a close bond. Unsure of how to respond, a swirl of emotions surged through him: sadness, anger, shock, and more others.

Khan: Now, then, as surprising as it is to see you, why are you in my daughter's room?

Classic Khan always moves on to the next subject without even slowing down to talk about nori.

Y/n: I uh, well, Uzi took me in as her prisoner.

Khan: HA, as if my sweet Uzi would break the rules and go outside our door, which she so much loves as they protect her from the harshness of the outside world.

Y/n: But she did, after all, she was the one who saved me from nearly being killed by the murder drones that you have outside this place.

Khan: Well, that doesn't sound like my Uzi. She loves it here.

Y/n couldn't tell if he actually believed that.

Khan: Well then, we got all that out of the way…. You need to leave.

Y/n: Oh, is it okay for me to walk the halls?

Khan: Of course not, I mean leave the bunker.

Y/n: Oh.

Khan: There are a few different reasons why, but I want you gone, y/n, because if you're around Uzi, you will fill her head with crazy thoughts like Nori.

Y/n: Hey, that's not fair, we both know why.

Khan: That was just some weird virus she had, but unlike Nori, I can protect my girl by keeping her inside this build with our great doors.

Khan: You have to understand I'm doing this to protect her. So you need to leave at the very least. I give you until tomorrow.

Y/n: "sigh" You're not one to beat around the bush, are you, Khan? Well, I can understand where you're coming from.

Khan: Meet me in the morning. I'll open our doors so you can leave before anyone notices you're here.

Y/n: fine.

Y/n wasn't mad after all, like he said he could understand where Khan was coming from, but to do that straight away, without so much as a hi, how are you for someone you thought was dead still kind of stung.

Y/n turned and started walking to the door where they came from.

Khan: Y/n?

Y/n: Yes?

Khan: It's good to see that you're actually alive after all this time, and I mean it.

Y/n: Haha, well, you should know I don't go down easily.

Y/n walked through the door, leaving Khan behind. He wasn't sure how to feel after all the news he was just told, incredibly so close together without a break.

At the very least, y/n hoped that Uzi was having a good time at her party.
