The first year and six months saw Ash and Naruto going back and forth from Uzushiogakure to Myobokuzen. This time also saw Naruto become a level 5 sealer, Ash not too far behind him on level 3. Naruto was preparing for the exit exam for level 5. Kotosuke Sensei satayed with us the longest as Yugao and Anko Sensei would come and go as Tsunade Sensei needed them. I'm not fond of Bandit Extermination missions. I will do them if it must be done but, I definitely don't like them. Aside from being able to get a grasp on Shadow Possession Jutsu. Ash was making further progress on Iron Defense. Choza Sensei would use his Multi-Size technique to put force on my Harden.
-Choza's POV-
These boys are something else! If Ash-Kun continues to strengthen that Harden technique, it's gonna be like hitting steel. Hmm perhaps that's what he's aiming for? I'm very proud of both of them even without the Harden technique. They can actually stop one of my oversized punches. Together and individually, it's very impressive. I think Shikaku is going to enjoy the progress Ash-Kun has made in the Shadow Jutsu department. I am not a fan of that Thunder Punch. That's nasty business no matter how you slice it. They might end up having strength like Hokage-Sama. Naruto-Kun is getting really good at sealing. Pretty soon he'll catch up to Jiraiya-Sama. If he continues to grow like he has been he may even become a good as Yondaime-Sama and Lady Kushina. I shuddered, she really was a scary woman. Kami bless Yondaime-Sama for taming her. Naruto-Kun is so much like her even though he looks like him. Ash-Kun is catching up to Naruto. They might be able to help Ash-Kun make a way home, if they can figure out the energies required. Naruto was able to make that Fuuinball for his Froakie. That's a monumental achievement, considering he's the first of his kind in this world. Choza Sensei watch this, Ash said as he created a clone of himself. Because of the difference with Aura. Ash's clones can take a few hits before they dispurse. Several mornings I have woken up to find Ash and Naruto using clones to practice chakra control. Sparring, Thunder Punch training, Naruto is starting to learn the Aura Sphere. Since the Rasengan is so closely related. Watching Naruto pick up the technique was inspiring. He really is a smart boy! What a shame the people can't see that.

Yuzuki Yugao was a Kenjutsu specialist. Training two teen boys the intricacies of swordsmanship. She thought it was going to be more difficult than it has proven to be. Ash Ketchum is a refreshing student. The way he can channel his moves into the blade he wields. Several times he's made the ANBU Shinobi use substitution. Air Slash, Air Cutter, Razor Wind, Night Slash. What amazing techniques he brings with him. The scariest part is how he can use them with the staff or the blade. The first time he used Thunder to power up his staff he nearly broke Yugao's sword. Naruto learning Thunder Punch was horrible. He would channel it into his Kunai and Shuriken. Ash would infuse it into his Senbon Needles. Ash's exclusive Senbon Triple Shadow Clone Jutsu. It was a combination of Senbon Shadow Clone, Shadow Senbon, and hiding a secondary weapon in the shadow of the first. Not only was there explosive Shadow Senbon, but there is the actual hail of Senbon Needles. Ash being a level 4 sealer He had small seals on his Senbon and Throwing Knives. Thunder seals, Flame Burst seals, Shadow Senbon seals, Air Slash seals, Thunderbolt seals, explosive tag seals. Aside from the Paralytic Toxins, Ash had become rather good at stopping his opponents. Barriers were Kushina Sensei's specialty. Naruto and Ash were quickly becoming adept. At first it was a bit of an experiment. Now, watching the way these boys work so hard. They might actually find a way to help Ash get home.
In the time Ash has been gone from his home world. The rift left behind allowed Pokemon to follow Ash into the Elemental Nations. A few species have made their home on this side of the rift. Fletchling, Tailow, Dedene, Ratatta, Corphish, Clawncher, Tentacool, Poochiena, Houndour, people in the Elemental Nations have seen these new creatures but have not interacted with them yet. It only took one cycle and the creatures that made their way into the Elemental Nations fundamentally changed. Variants have appeared in the Elemental Nations.
-Uzushiogakure-
Ash, Naruto, and Hana were running near the ocean. When they were set upon by a small pack of birds. It took a few moments for Ash to figure out that these were flying type Pokemon. Until one of the older birds spoke up, Fletchinder! This was a shiny or a variant of some sort. The answer to that question came with the next few seconds the Fletchinder opened its beak and unleashed Dark Pulse. That's when their off colors made sense to him. The blues and purples in their feathers were due to their dark typing. Well shit! Ash said, Talonflame: Try and talk them down. Naruto you'll probably need Froakie depending on the next few moments. Do you have an empty Fuuinball? You bet! Naruto said as fished the ball out of his seal. Hana Sensei? If necessary I can walk you through catching one. They will come in handy and if they're invading your realm. The sooner we establish a system the better. Shinobi working with Pokemon is a thing in my world's history. This can be a thing here too. History has a habit of repeating itself, you know? Hana Inuzuka was looking at these birds shooting dark energy and Flamethrowers, holding us off. I am a veterinarian, right? Don't worry Ash, I can catch one on my own. Uzumaki-San, how much would you sell those capture devices for? Given the circumstances, he fished another 2 Fuuinballs from his seal, here Sensei, catch! Don't worry about these, just use them wisely. They create an artificial chakra bond with the Pokemon. The Fletchinder was shocked to see another of it's kind. Why is there a Talonflame in this realm? That's the question I should be asking your group. Did you follow us through the rift? The guide!? But you disappeared years ago during the Battle of Kalos. Now we are in this realm we do not know. Can you guide us great trailblazer?
You don't need guidance, you're here now. Talonflame said back to the leading Fletchinder. Create a territory for yourself and do not destroy it. Some humans will attempt to try and get you to fight for them. Some will try to kill you because they fear what they don't understand. Some of the humans have powers here, they will be your biggest challenge. Shinobi are no joke, they can be your biggest allies or your biggest threats. Among the flock there was a secondary lead that kept eyeing Naruto. More precisely the Froakie on his shoulder. In the half year since his birth, Froakie has been training with Greninja and Ash. Naruto has become a competent trainer for his Froakie. He knows Water Pulse, Rock Shuriken, Stone Edge, Pound, Rock Smash, Bounce, Mega Kick, Quick Attack and Headbutt. Ash was convinced that he was close to his next stage. Battling with Pokemon he is unaccustomed to will help his growth further. What do you think Naruto? You wanna take him on? He seems set on coming your way. I motion towards the flock. The Fletchinder in question came at them at a decent speed. Opened its beak and unleashed Flamethrower on him. Naruto was dialed in now that he was attacked. Froakie: Dodge then Water Pulse! Froakie avoided the flames and threw the Water Pulse at Fletchinder. Fletchinder blocked it with Steel Wing though it was pushed back a few feet. Both Pokemon stared at one another for a few moments. Then Fletchinder turned that Steel Wing on Froakie. Naruto whistled before yelling out, Alright Froakie: Block that with Cut, then use Stone Edge! Fletchinder climbed up but still got one of his wings nicked with a stone. This made him veer off wobbly, he had to readjust mid-air. Froakie: Quick Attack follow it with Pound. Knock it out of the air! This made Fletchinder mad because Froakie landed the Pound. In its rage Fletchinder landed a clean Aerial Ace. FROAKIE NO! Naruto was nervous for his friend, he was so young but already prodigal. Come on buddy, get up! Fletchinder was circling back for another strike. Come on Froakie! On your feet, Dodge it and use Rock Smash being so close to the edge of the forest Froakie tried to move the fight near the trees so he could find some leverage. Meanwhile Hana was using one of the triplets to battle a Fletchling. The little one kept using hit and run tactics on her. Quick Attack to Steel Wing it was a decent combo. Hana was using Fang over Fang and Tunneling Fang in spades. She underestimated the tenacity this tiny bird would have. She was starting to like it! Zipping around Fletchling was able to land an Ember.
This caused her to look at this bird again. She thought to herself, It can harden its wings to steel consistency. High attack speed, flames, this little one was gonna be an awesome powerhouse one day. I just have to catch it first! The little bird opened his beak and shot out a stream of embers. Then beat his wings and shot out crescent shaped wind blades into the embers. Alright time to show off that move! Hana said before commanding Lightning Style: Piercing Fang. Fletchling frowned grudgingly respecting the human girl fight him. He flew into the cloud of flaming Razor Wind. Steel Wing lighting up for his last attack. When the Husky and Fletchling collided there was an explosion. Both Pokemon and Husky flew backwards, slamming into trees behind them. NOW SENSEI, THROW IT! Ash hollered, Hana pushed her chakra into the button seal. The ball lit up and expanded, she then chucked it at Fletchling. The orange and wood sphere made contact with Fletchling. It opened up and a dark blue light enveloped Fletchling and absorbed it. It wiggled a few times then the click-hiss marked the capture. The blue swirl flashed and stayed on, marking the ball as full. Awesome Sensei Ash said as he ran up to her. You have a Pokemon of your own now! How awesome that the Fletchling line of this realm is part Dark Type. Super cool! I can't wait to see how strong that Talonflame grows to be! They both turned their attention to the triplet that was in need of attention. Ash walked up to it and placed his hands up on the Husky. He closed his eyes and focused his energy. Instead of channeling chakra, he opened his eyes and they began to glow a mystic pink. Heal Pulse he said as the pink energy enveloped the Husky and reversed the damage. Hana was always surprised when Ash used this style of healing.
He was competent with healing Jutsu but his Aura techniques were his best. He only figured out the technique within the last 4 months. Simply amazing, she said as she shook her head. She picked up the Fletchling's ball, Ash landed a hand on her shoulder. Let it out and introduce yourself to it, he or she is your partner now! Best to start getting acquainted with one another. So, these creatures are known as Fletchling? Yeah, it's a Flying, Fire, and Dark Type. The rest of your relationship depends entirely on how much work you put into it. Hana took a deep breath and then, Fletchling: Come on out! In a light blue flash, Fletchling came out and circled around her head. Then landed on her shoulder and said Fletchling fletch! Ash heard; Hi, you're strong! I like you! Thank you for not using all three of them on me. Aren't you the cutest thing when you're not trying to burn or cut me. She laughed, Fletchling nuzzled up to her head and she pet the little one. Ash asked; Fletchling? Are you a boy or a girl? I am a lady!! She said puffing up her chest feathers. Good then, Sensei? She says you're strong and she likes you. That's half the battle already, he smiled at her. Then turned back to the battle at hand..
Fletchinder unleashed Dark Pulse at the team. Froakie: Dodge it! Bounce and use Rock Smash. Fletchinder took a dive then climbed quickly forming Steel Wing. Fletchinder shot down and Froakie shot across into a tree. Cracking the trunk, Naruto flinched involuntarily. Fletchinder made his way onto his claws. Shaking his head from the impact, Froakie was use to battling with Ash's Pokemon.
Even though he was aware that they were holding back on him. Froakie was getting stronger by the day. He was forcing the older Pokemon to hold back less and less. He was feeling it already tired from the battle. Angry because this outsider was pushing him so hard. As he got to his feet he was smacked by a Steel Wing. Sent flying again he was just getting to his feet, when he was hit with a Quick Attack. He was sent tumbling across the battlefield coming to sliding stop. Ash flinched and so did Hana, Froakie looked like he had lost. Ash knew different this could possibly be it. The turning point for Naruto and Froakie, he's either going to learn a new move. Or.. it's time! Time? Hana asked, what do you mean? Just watch, he responded to her question. Froakie slowly got to its feet the Fletchinder using Taunt to make it harder on him. He kept a hand on one knee and he was breathing heavily. Come on buddy, you can do it! I know you can Froakie: I believe in you! Fletchinder lit up a Steel Wing for his last attack. Believing he was about to be victorious. As he launched, FROO! Froakie began to glow.. he grew almost head length and a half. The helmet crest became a larger cover on his head. A half moon crest formed on his forehead. His arms formed rock gauntlets as well as his shins.
Losing no mobility, his frubbles disappeared completely. As the Fletchinder got closer, Frogadier grinned and unleashed Aerial Ace. Unprepared for the evolution or the comeback. Fletchinder was caught in the perfect trap. He was sent spinning backwards into the tree trunk Froakie cracked earlier. Snapping the tree, Fuuinball Go! Naruto threw the ball at Fletchinder capturing it. A few moments later there was a hiss-click that told Naruto he had caught his second Pokemon. Walking up to the ball he picked it up and stared at it. Wow you're super strong! I hope we continue to get stronger together. The Fuuinball wiggled in response to his words. The battle must have attracted other Pokemon that have filtered into the realm as well. Although the birds no longer wanted any parts of the humans. There was a Clawitzer and a Tentacool that were nosy enough to make themselves known. The real battle starts now, thought Ash as he pulled Hawlucha's ball. Just then there was a rustle in the bushes behind Ash and out crept a Skiddo. No friggin way! Naruto! Do you still have that Pokeball I gave you? Yeah! He fished it out of his pocket and tossed it at Ash. I'm sorry to do this little guy, but.. you're gonna show me what you're all about. Skiddo dropped his horns and ran at Hawlucha. As he ran at Hawlucha there was a Shadow Ball forming between his horns. Hawlucha: Karate Chop! This caused both Pokemon to skid away from one another. Skiddo used Razor Leaf on us, and charged up another Shadow Ball. Either this little guy is part Dark Type or he's a Normal Type. As he shot the ball at us he reared up and stomped the ground, Stone Edge coming to life.
I can't see any Dark Type features, just the stones on his back. His hooves even look rocky, awesome. Hawlucha: Low
Sweep! This sent Skiddo tripping backwards, now Hawlucha: Finish this with Flying Press! Hawlucha made himself airborne and came in for the finish. Skiddo unleashed Vine Whip and slammed Hawlucha to the ground. He's got spunk and I like it! Hawlucha: you good? I'm fine boss he just surprised me is all. Ok Hawlucha: Close Combat and finish this with Throat Chop! Poor Skiddo got socked up good. Pokeball Go! The ball wiggled around for a bit longer than Ash was comfortable with. When it finally dinged the capture, he was nervous about it. That was tense.. Awesome! I wanted a Gogoat when I was in Kalos last. I've never seen a capture last so long. I wonder what the professor would have to say about that? Ash thought to himself, Hey buddy, you ok? You caught another friend, right? That's supposed to be a good thing, right? Naruto was asking before my attention shifted back to him. Yeah, it's just something I've never seen before. Not just a tri-type Pokemon, but the length of the capture. Grinning at Naruto Ash just tossed the ball in his hand and caught it again. My team just got a little stronger! Pulling out his Pokedex Ash scanned the Gokid he just caught. (Skiddo: #672 As long as Skiddo has water it can produce energy from the sunlight through its leaves using photosynthesis.) As I read the information I noticed the variant. Normal, Grass and Rock Type, explaining the Shadow Ball.
This area is saturated with chakra if this is as far as the Pokemon have made it. So not only is he a shiny, he's a regional variant as well! Awesome! Meanwhile Hana was watching she had moved Fletchling down to her legs and started to heal her.
(Fletchling's POV)
As she moved me down to her legs I watched in surprise as her hands lit up in a warm comfortable green energy. She waved her glowing hands over me and I felt as my battle damage reversed itself. It was amazing I could only stare at this human who I was now bonded to. The dogs she battled me with are strong too. So she can heal as well as battle hard, I am satisfied with my human. She thought with a smirk on her features.
(End Fletchling's POV)
Clauncher made its way from rock to rock swiftly. To her this human woman with the Fletchling was the weakest link. She jumped out from behind the rocks to strike at Hana and Fletchling with Crab Hammer. Only to be blindsided by one of the triplets, then the other, then the other. When Clauncher was tumbling through the air she finally noticed as Hana called out Fletchling: Razor Wind! It was too late by the time the words were said. Clauncher was battered into the rocky beach by the air blades. Knocking her out, Fuuinball Go! Bubble Beam: Gamma! The Bubble Beam was timed in sync with Pikachu jumping off of Ash's shoulder using Thunderbolt. Both attacks intercepting a barrage of Poison Sting. Jiraya Sensei! Ash said as the Toad Sage landed next to his students. You boys sure do know how to attract trouble, to you don't you? He said as the lilac colored Poliwhirl came bouncing back to Sensei.
Good Job Gamma Uzu, Hey Sensei! Check it out, I caught a second Pokemon. Naruto said with genuine pride in his Fletchinder, and the Frogadier it produced. Tentacool was not satisfied with being blocked so it tried to attack again. This time Frogadier used Rock Shuriken to intercept the Poison Sting. Pulling one of his Rock Kunai, Naruto called out: Razor Wind. In an up and down flourish cut, a crescent shaped wind blade formed. It launched at Tentacool cutting off 2 of its tentacles. This made Tentacool apprehensive of the group. It decided to turn around and head back to deeper waters. Another Poliwhirl came waddling out of the brush. Jiraiya Sensei saw it and said, good job Gamma Otto come back up here with your brother. Jumping up onto his arm, it climbed up onto Sensei's empty shoulder. Ohhh Awesome! you caught a Poliwhirl and a Timpole Sensei!
Ash scanned them to know their variances, Poliwhirl is a Poison, Water and Fighting Type. Timpole is a Water, Dark, and Ground Type. Yeah, Jiraiya Sensei said, I countered his Poison Sting With my Needle Jizo. Neither of them was prepared for a larger toad from Myobokuzen. Anything toad related, I'm gonna capture! I still have some life ahead of me gaki!
-Orochimaru and Kabuto-
A small group of Ekans had made their home in one of Orochimaru's bases. He needed to get something from there, when he came across the leader of the clutch. My, my, what do we have here? What kind of snake are you? You're a handsome one, aren't you. Their slitted pupils met and the leader of the group knew he had met a true king snake. His eyes were drawn to the human, he felt familiar. This man held his hand out would you like to come with me? Ekans nodded with out knowing why he was agreeing. He slithered up the man's arms, and rested across his shoulders. Curled around his neck once and rested his head on Orochimaru's shoulder. That's a good boy, let's get going, shall we? Ekanss.. As he left his lab he found Kabuto making friends with another snake like his. Only this specimen had white on lilac color scheme. She was beautiful honestly, but he could tell that she was weaker than his partner. Not by much though, Orochimaru-Sama, Kabuto was saying. Have you ever seen such interesting creatures? Kabuto noticed that Orochimaru already had a snake of a purple color, wrapped around his neck like a scarf. Kabuto could tell this one must be stronger than his new friend. (Ekans POV) Sister is this human to your liking? His shiny sister answered with excitement, I do brother, he is interesting! May I go with him? It appears that this one is my human's subordinate. You should come with us, we should stay together. They are powerful enough, I am satisfied. Very well then the shiny Ekans said... (End Ekans POV)
Very well then.. Come Kabuto I have what I want, plus new friends. Orochimaru flicked his own snake like tongue. Kabuto adjusted his glasses and both disappeared in a shunshin. The two Ekans being introduced to Shinobi movement. Kabuto, I want you to take your partner and have her lead you to where they came from.. See what you can find, It will be done Orochimaru-Sama, Kabuto said as he bowed to his Master. As Kabuto left he mused about this snake he now carried. The Shinobi body being what it is can handle it. The average person? These creatures can very easily cause problems for average person. As he pet his Ekans, he assumed that was it's species name. It seemed to be the only thing this thing could say. It has a Genin's chakra reserves already. As they traveled Ekans led him towards the rift. On the journey towards the opening, they encountered a small rat like creature that Ekans ate up. As they turned their backs to walk away from the fight. Cate Cate Raticate! Ekans turned around bonelessly hissing at the larger rat. Kabuto studied the rat blocking their path it was about the size of a small to medium sized dog. Ash-white and black spots, his tail was rather large. His eyes were as black as obsidian, he opened his mouth and a blueish brown light formed. It shot compressed mud bullets at Ekans and Kabuto. Don't kill it Ekans, I want you to show me what you can do. She slithered off of his shoulders, fast for a creature of her size. Shooting her own poisonous needles at the incoming mud. The rat dug underneath us and came up to whip Ekans across her face with a glowing tail. Ekans hissed in pain from the Iron Tail she was just slapped with.
She reared back and shot a foul smelling gunk at it. It slammed its tail on the floor and raised a wall of dirt to block the gunk. Kabuto watched in fascination as the gunk corroded the dirt it touched. I have to learn what your attack names are they're potent and I'd like to study them further. Kabuto was aware they were being watched. It was the strangest chakra he had ever felt. He adjusted his glasses and began to gather his own chakra. While still watching his Ekans do her thing. She gathered a bright purple energy in her tail and swung it at the rat. The little devil swung a glowing purple paw to intercept the tail. There was an explosion of power as the attacks collided. This caused the two to go sliding backwards, away from one another. Ekans frowned she didn't think she would need her third power for this rodent. Raticate was glad he'd inherited Poison Jab and Tail from his father. As the snake unleashed a Flamethrower at it. The Raticate dropped down and unleashed a Dark Pulse at the Flamethrower. BOOM!! Both his Ekans and the tough rat were breathing heavily. Kabuto had to respect the rodent's tenacious nature. Strong enough to fight back against his natural predator. I think I like him! Ekans bashed her skull in to the rat and sent him flying into a tree. Finally knocking it out, pushing up his glasses he finally said. You can come out now, I don't like being watched. The man didn't move to make himself seen. Kabuto used a shunshin to bring his hooked Kunai to the man's neck. Only to come face to face with an growling lion. Ekans came out of the brush hissing prepared to face the feline. Ekans seems to be very attached to you. From the fight I can tell you she's got three types. Poison, Ground and Fire.. Where as the Raticate you beat is a Ground, Poison and Dark type. It's actually a pretty even match up.. Speaking of, do you plan on capturing it? Since you did say you like the little guy, the man said. There are things I need to learn and you do as well. Here, he said, catch! The man threw 2 spherical devices at Kabuto. You must be a Shinobi, I've been in the wilderness for a year now. I've heard your kind mentioned before, he said looking down at the blade. You should use the balls to capture them. Kabuto looked at the odd devices then asked the strange man. Who are you? How do you know so much about these creatures? Finally... Would you happen to be a scientist? If so, my master would love to have a conversation with you. Lysander raised an eyebrow, Who is this master you speak of? Orochimaru of the Sanin, Kabuto said with reverence. And you say this Orochimaru is a scientist? He is, Kabuto said as he eyed the man warily.
Good he said, I am Lysander and I could use a partner in this world. I am curious about this chakra I have heard mentioned. You better not play games with me, a bright flash and an overwhelming roar introduced a big red dragon. My Gyarados won't take very kindly to that, and neither will I. The killer intent that dragon had was amazing. Orochimaru-Sama would definitely like to hear from this individual. I see Kabuto said as he adjusted his glasses again. He then leant down and use healing chakra on the fainted Raticate. After capturing him, he stood up. Please follow me, he led Lysander to his Master.
-On the road to Bird Country-
Fletchinder: Keep an eye out for anything. Frogadier liked to be outside of his ball as they traveled. The two tadpoles were still traveling on Jiraiya's shoulder. Fletchling kept in-between the trees making sure they weren't ambushed from the trees either. Hana was happy to let Caluncher ride on her shoulder. Ash let Skiddo walk with them, Pikachu was currently hitching a ride on his back. As they have moved along they trained their Pokemon up, Ash showed them what their movesets were. While Naruto covered the basics with Hana, Ash showed Jiraiya Sensei the ropes. As they traveled they ran through a few packs of Ratatta and Raticate. Giving Fletchling, Clauncher, Timpole, and Poliwhirl needed experience.
Iron Defense! I grinned as Senbon Needles, and Kunai bounced off. The clear sound of metal hitting metal was beautiful. It meant that I finally had the move down. While this was happening I learned Thunder Punch, and Thunderbolt. It was while learning Thunder Punch, that Pikachu finalized his own version of it. BADOOOM!! The concussive force knocked me off my feet. Then there was the crater left behind. Woah! Was that your Thunder Punch!? Recently Ash had completed the 5th certification. He was starting on level 6 of Sealing. Now he too was able to make better use of his training methods. One at a time he put resistance and gravity seals on all his Pokemon. If this is his only team then they're gonna become Champion level. Then they're gonna shatter that platform and keep rising higher. Naruto came running into the clearing Ash was using.
What the hell was that!? He basically screamed out, chill bro, Ash said. Pikachu finally learned Thunder Punch. I finally mastered my own, at least I think so. Well, if this clearing is any indication, you two are super strong now! Pervy Sage says we'll meet Anko and old man Kotosuke when we get to Bird Country. Suddenly they were set upon by an overly large and aggressive Raticate. He went for Naruto, so Ash stepped aside and let him handle it. Then another rustle in the bushes notifies them of another Raticate coming out. Naruto's opponent was bigger than Pikachu. This second Raticate was just a bit smaller than he is. I tried not to use my Pokedex very much here. I had no way to charge it until I found my way back to my world.
