Prologue
In the Beginning…
was the Author, and the Metaconsciousness was with him, and they gazed into the abyss that existed within themselves. The Metaconsciousness took the void inside and externalized it through the Author, and they were a single entity. But now, there would exist a plane of existence for the Author to preexist as a projection of being from the Metaconsciousness, and it was called the Word.
Now, the Word was an extension of the Metaconsciousness, and soon it embraced the void that the Metaconsciousness had withdrawn, and it drew it in, shaping itself to it—but not being limited by it. Communication was unnecessary; there was nothing yet in the mind of the cognizant. All words were signified by the external reality of the Author, and everything happened according to that factual nexus.
The Metaconsciousness could not separate from the Author, for they were a unity. Thus, it dwelled in a space above all fiction, called the Real World, and acted without the Author's awareness—and without awareness of him—to influence within the dark space. The Metaconsciousness crumpled what seemed like a sheet of paper into a ball and hurled it into the empty space, and a dimensional plane was formed. The Author acted as an avatarized extension of the Metaconsciousness in the empty plane.
Filled with desire, he cast countless color palettes based on the judgment of the Real World. The Author was solemn, and the Metaconsciousness labored to think of how to begin "existence," and so it attracted Existence: a being-enclosed-in-itself.
"My Creator," said the conceptual Existence, which had the intelligence of a human baby.
Then the Author commanded: "Do everything according to my image and likeness." And Existence obeyed—but soon realized it could create nothing, for it had no potency in its substratum, nor was there any concept of creation.
The Author then created Positivity and Negativity. The first was a radiant being resembling a 5-year-old boy, while Negativity appeared as a 5-year-old girl, both the same size and age. But Positivity was joyful and free, loved the Creator deeply, and invited Existence to play with him and his sister. On the other hand, Negativity was quiet and only spoke when needed.
After an intermission, they began to play by touching each other—but there was no concept of balance, so they started to collide. Positivity and Negativity launched themselves like cannonballs into Existence, and an explosion occurred before the analytical eyes of the Author and the Metaconsciousness. An explosion that was not truly an explosion.
The Creator glanced sideways at the Metaconsciousness, which transcended all, and it read his thoughts—since neither the Author nor anything else had thoughts of their own. Absolutely everything was a reflection of the passive will of the Metaconsciousness.
Thus, the Metaconsciousness labored during that intermission, and before the tragedy (which did not yet exist as a concept) could unfold, they created Balance. Balance merged with Existence, Positivity, and Negativity to create energy and dark matter. The explosion grew, and the fusion of dark energy and dark matter gave rise to baryonic matter. This event would be named the Big Bang, due to the attraction and retraction used by the Creator and the Metaconsciousness to bring everything into being.
And it was done.
The Author gained a material avatar and said: "Order!" And the three stopped fighting and looked at the mess they had made—in however long it took, for now, time had begun to exist. Before, there was only actuality, never update—thus, eternity.
Eternity was a concept inferior only to the Author.
The Metaconsciousness granted eternity solely to the Author, for all things unfolded within the scope of the Author. Eternity was the foundational trait of the inner void removed from the Metaconsciousness and embraced by the Author.
However, they both looked upon the four who stared at each other in fear of being reprimanded.
"You have disobeyed me. Therefore, you are now outside of me! You are no longer eternal!"
The Metaconsciousness shone and created the concept of end, below eternity, but above all secondary concepts.
"Now you may cease to exist. If you wish to destroy one another—so be it. Balance, you and Existence shall merge once more, and from your union shall be born Justice."
And Justice was born.
Justice then merged with Existence and Positivity, and thus were created the Beautiful and the Good.
"Now, go forth and create the gods. I entrust to you the Distinct."
The Distinct bore the image of a human person. And when they placed the Distinct, they felt secure, for the chaos created by unorganized baryonic matter troubled them.
"This Distinct will allow you to use the chaos of existing matter to create the gods. But you will shape the gods from dark matter and dark energy—thus, they shall be incomprehensible, close to chaos, powerful, and distinct."
And the Author continued:
"Alone, you will be limited. Without this Distinct to resist chaos and without primordial power, you will be unable to create anything not arising from the existing baryonic matter."
They all departed, smiling.
They waved their hands and things—and the chaotic energy birthed the first gods.
