Mo Yu's gaze lingered on the black, serpentine sword before slowly shifting to the figure behind it—a young man dressed in black robes.

The black-clad youth carried an air of arrogance, his mocking smile paired with eyes that seemed to scorn everything in their view. Following closely behind him were three elderly men and a familiar white-robed young man.

That white-robed youth was none other than Bei Hao.

At this moment, a cold smirk hung on Bei Hao's lips. Clearly, this sudden interference by the black-clad youth had something to do with him.

Mo Yu, however, paid no attention to Bei Hao. His focus shifted briefly to the three individuals behind the youth, causing his brows to furrow slightly.

Two of the older men exuded powerful auras, unmistakably at the level of an eight-star Dou Zong. Yet, the elder standing at the forefront made Mo Yu's heart tense.

"Dou Zun."

This elder, whose face bore a scar and whose expression was ferocious, looked no different from an ordinary butcher. Yet, Mo Yu's keen soul perception told him otherwise—this man's strength had indeed reached the level of Dou Zun!

The unexpected intervention of the black-robed youth drew many astonished glances from those around them.

When they saw the three elders behind him, their eyes revealed a hint of awe. For someone to travel with such an entourage, their background must be formidable.

"Hehe, my friend, I can offer you double the price for that copper fragment. Would you consider giving it to me instead?"

The black-clad youth smiled faintly at Xiao Yan, yet his serpentine sword remained firmly embedded in the copper fragment, showing no intention of moving.

Mo Yu stared at the black-robed youth, then slowly shook his head. "No."

As his voice fell, Mo Yu's fingers bent together and flicked toward the black serpentine sword. A burst of hidden force erupted, sending the sword veering away. His hand shot out like lightning, reaching for the copper fragment once again.

The sudden move caused the black-clad youth's eyes to darken, but his reaction was equally swift. With a flick of his hand, the sword lashed out like a venomous snake toward Mo Yu's hand. Its razor-sharp force tore a faint crack through the air itself.

Unfazed by the youth's vicious counter, Mo Yu maintained his composure. His fingers flicked the copper fragment, then his hand shifted into a palm strike. A surge of overwhelming energy smashed into the serpentine sword.

"Boom!"

A low, resonant sound echoed as the black serpentine sword was forcefully pressed onto the jade platform beneath Mo Yu's strike.

Before the black-clad youth could retrieve his sword, a swift and powerful whip kick lashed toward his face like a sudden gust of wind.

Faced with the sheer force of Mo Yu's kick, the black-clad youth's expression darkened. Left with no other option, he released the sword and retreated two steps, narrowly evading the incoming strike.

"You impudent brat!"

As the youth retreated, the two elders behind him, both around the level of eight-star Dou Zong, stepped forward with grim expressions. With a stomp of their feet, they appeared in front of Mo Yu, their hands clawing toward his shoulders like eagle talons.

Before their claws could land, two streaks of sinister green energy burst from Mo Yu's shoulders.

"Be careful!"

The scarred elder, who had yet to act, suddenly cried out as his face changed slightly.

Hearing his warning, the two elders' expressions tensed. Though their hands were cloaked in Dou Qi, traces of the poisonous wind still seeped into their noses.

Instantly, their Dou Qi fluctuated chaotically, and their faces turned pale as they hastily retreated, suppressing the toxins within their bodies.

"What? Are you thinking of stealing by force now?"

Having given the two elders a minor yet impactful lesson, Mo Yu spoke indifferently.

The Profound Yin Poison Demon Thunder, a blend of the domineering poison from the Woeful Poison Body and mystical lightning, was fearsome even in its weakened state. Even high-ranking Dou Zongs would suffer if they underestimated it.

The two elders managed to suppress the poisonous energy in their Dou Qi but couldn't hide the trace of fear in their eyes as they looked at Mo Yu.

This seemingly young man harbored such potent toxins within his body. Without their considerable strength, they would have already fallen.

To the side, Bei Hao gazed at Mo Yu in astonishment, his brows furrowing slightly. Who was this young man that Bing Li had taken in as a disciple? Did he have any connection to Mo Yu?

The black-clad youth's eyes darkened as he stared at Mo Yu, but after a moment, he sneered arrogantly. "Hmph, boy, I heard from Bei Hao that your name is Xiao Huohuo, and you're a disciple of Elder Bing from the Weapon Alliance. Your background isn't bad."

"But I am Lin Lang, the young sect master of Di Ming Sect. You don't have the qualifications to compete with me!"

"Di Ming Sect?"

Hearing this, Feng Mu and Lan Yingying's expressions changed, and even Mo Yu frowned slightly.

He was well aware of the forces in the Central Plains. The Di Ming Sect wasn't a weak power—its reputation rivaled that of the Ten Thousand Sword Pavilion and even surpassed it.

Behind the Di Ming Sect stood one of the renowned Two Sects of the continent, the Tian Ming Sect.

The Tian Ming Sect governed three subsidiary sects, collectively known as the Lower Three Sects. The Di Ming Sect was one of them, alongside the Xuan Ming Sect and the Huang Ming Sect.

The Di Ming Sect's strength rivaled not only the Four Pavilions but even the Three Valleys.

After all, even if others dared not respect the Di Ming Sect, the Tian Ming Sect's face was not something they could disregard. This ancient sect, with nearly a millennium of history, had a terrifying foundation.

"Sorry, I don't recognize it. I spotted this copper fragment first and have no intention of handing it over."

Though aware of the Di Ming Sect's formidable reputation, Mo Yu wasn't about to give up the copper fragment. He didn't fear even the Hall of Souls, let alone the Di Ming Sect.

Nearby, the black-robed stall owner regretted his earlier decision as he watched the two sides fight over the copper fragment. He had clearly underestimated its value but could no longer retract the deal.

Lin Lang's expression darkened at Mo Yu's dismissive words, but his face soon broke into a cold smile.

"Xiao Huohuo, making more friends is always better than making enemies. Offending my Di Ming Sect over some unknown object isn't wise. Don't think the Weapon Alliance can protect you. Even Elder Zhu Jian is a friend of my sect."

Hearing this, Bei Hao smiled and nodded, his gaze toward Mo Yu turning colder.

Seeing this, Feng Mu and Lan Yingying's faces filled with anger. While Elder Zhu Jian and Elder Bing were often at odds, it was despicable for Bei Hao to ally with outsiders against their own.

Mo Yu, however, merely smiled indifferently. To him, Elder Zhu Jian was already on his blacklist, so such words didn't faze him.

Before Lin Lang's eyes, Mo Yu calmly stored the copper fragment into his storage ring. He then raised his head and said, "Apologies, but I have no intention of befriending you. I need this item too. However, if you're willing to wait, I might leave you something after I've studied it."

As soon as his words fell, Mo Yu waved at Lan Yingying and Feng Mu behind him before lifting his foot and heading toward the staircase.

"Hmph!"

Just as Mo Yu took his first step, the two elders, who had suffered a setback earlier, shifted their positions to block his path again.

Seeing his way obstructed, the smile on Mo Yu's face gradually faded. Though the other side included a Dou Zun powerhouse, he remained unperturbed. After all, this was the territory of the Weapon Alliance. If things escalated, Elder Bing would not stand idly by.

However, it seemed he would have to trouble Elder Bing again.

"Hehe, everyone, the Weapon Refiner Trade Fair has always upheld fairness and impartiality. I suggest we not break the rules."

As the tension in the hall escalated, a light chuckle broke the silence. A plump, middle-aged man slowly walked over, exuding a warm and friendly demeanor akin to a Maitreya Buddha. Yet, the formidable aura emanating from him marked him as another Dou Zun powerhouse.

"That's Master Hui Shan, one of the five elders of the Weapon Alliance, a high-level Seventh-Grade Weapon Refiner, and a good friend of my teacher!" Lan Yingying's eyes lit up with delight upon seeing the newcomer. She turned to Mo Yu and spoke excitedly.

Hearing this, Mo Yu paused momentarily before nodding.

Since this man was a friend of Elder Bing, the matter would likely be resolved.

Though the Di Ming Sect was not weak, it was still only one of the lower-ranked sects and could not match the Weapon Alliance in strength.

The commotion had also caught the attention of those on the top floor. However, the presence of two Dou Zun powerhouses did not shock them. After all, anyone who could come here had a high status, and seeing a Dou Zun was not an unusual event.

As Master Hui Shan approached, the two elders blocking Mo Yu's way shifted uneasily. They clearly recognized the newcomer and, under Lin Lang's signal, withdrew their oppressive aura.

"Hehe, so it's Master Hui Shan. I heard that you are elusive as a dragon. When did you return to Wan Bing City?" Lin Lang asked with a faint smile.

Master Hui Shan responded with a slight smile, "With the weapon refiner fair about to commence, as an elder of the Weapon Alliance, I must return to oversee it. May I ask why the Young Sect Master of the Di Ming Sect is blocking someone from the Weapon Alliance?"

Hearing this question, Lin Lang's expression stiffened. He glanced coldly at Mo Yu and said, "I heard that Master Bing recently took in a new disciple, so I came to meet him.

However, it seems that this person doesn't think much of my Di Ming Sect. Could it be that all members of the Weapon Alliance are this arrogant?"

Master Hui Shan turned to look at Mo Yu. While he recognized Lan Yingying and Feng Mu, Mo Yu was unfamiliar to him. Yet, upon learning that Mo Yu was Elder Bing's new disciple, he became intrigued.

This new disciple appeared to be quite extraordinary.

With this thought in mind, Master Hui Shan maintained his amicable smile. "Young Sect Master Lin Lang, you must be joking. The Di Ming Sect and its backing, the Tian Ming Sect, are among the top forces on the continent. How could the Weapon Alliance compare?

I hope Young Sect Master Lin Lang will grant me some face and let this matter go. What do you think?"

Lin Lang's expression darkened. Although Master Hui Shan appeared amiable, anyone who had ventured across the continent alone was not to be underestimated.

Moreover, this was the Weapon Alliance's territory. If the other elders of the alliance were alerted, even as the Young Sect Master of the Di Ming Sect, Lin Lang would likely suffer losses.

After weighing his options, Lin Lang's face turned grim. He shot Mo Yu a cold glare before turning and walking toward the staircase.

Behind him, the three elders and the sneering Bei Hao quickly followed.

It was evident that the battle over the copper fragment had ended in Mo Yu's favor.

Mo Yu's expression remained indifferent as he watched Lin Lang and his group leave. Once they disappeared from view, a cold glint flashed in the depths of his eyes.

If Lin Lang dared to provoke him further, Mo Yu was prepared to deliver a painful lesson, regardless of whether it involved the Di Ming Sect or even the Tian Ming Sect.

Suppressing this thought, Mo Yu approached the kind-looking middle-aged man and clasped his hands. "Junior Xiao Huohuo thanks Master Hui Shan for your intervention."

"Greetings, Master Hui Shan." Lan Yingying and Feng Mu also stepped forward to greet him.

"Hehe, you're all Elder Bing's disciples. No need for formalities," Master Hui Shan said warmly, his amicable expression revealing the close relationship he shared with Elder Bing.

However, Master Hui Shan soon turned to Mo Yu with a sigh. "So you're Elder Bing's new disciple? I've never met you before, but being chosen by Elder Bing speaks to your exceptional talent.

Unfortunately, you shouldn't have provoked the Di Ming Sect. Their influence is considerable, and I didn't expect to encounter them here. Lin Lang is the Di Ming Sect's Young Sect Master, and with their vengeful nature, this matter is unlikely to end peacefully."

Mo Yu smiled faintly. "There was no avoiding it, but there's no need to worry. If he has any tricks, I'll deal with them."

Mo Yu's calm declaration carried a weight that surprised even Master Hui Shan and the nearby Lan Yingying.

After all, even the Weapon Alliance would not claim outright superiority over the Di Ming Sect, let alone their backer, the Tian Ming Sect.

Was Mo Yu being recklessly arrogant, or did he truly possess the strength to back up his confidence?
