The new customer had a short buzz cut and had a familiar, long, pointy-nosed face.
Lola's eyes widened slightly, and she called out in almost a whisper, "Sonny…"
Nick almost didn't recognize him because of the heavy gloom in his demeanor and his new haircut, which was similar to his. And even more surprising, he no longer had dyed-blue hair.
Sonny paused at the entrance door and stared at Lola before looking past her, and glancing at Nick.
Lola turned to Nick and quickly said, "Um… thanks. Later, then."
Nick just smiled and said, "Take care."
Lola walked lightly and passed Sonny without exchanging a simple glance.
Nick suspected she was wary that Sonny might tell Johan about her presence here.
'Anyway, that's a game for the kids in the end; not my business. I have work to do.'
He faced Sonny and asked, "What can I do for you?"
