Nick stared at Lola's reply, a bit baffled.
He absentmindedly looked about the diner, but he met gaze with a slightly older lady, who was staring at him, probably since he entered the shop.
He smiled lightly and put his attention back on his phone, muttering inwardly, 'Damn. Looks do make life easier. Imagine someone as stuck up as Lola agreeing to meet me anywhere I choose. Heh…'
Nick found himself smirking, but remembered he had just lost his job. Nothing was funny.
He thought about a good spot he always wanted to casually visit, and replied to her:
"How about Greensly Park? It has a nice view of the new NeoTech Plaza, and there's a sit-out cafe in the area too…"
NeoTech Plaza was a shopping mall built in the past year with techy, futuristic themes. It was in the same area as Greensly Park. Nick wasn't planning on buying anything, of course, it was just something to see.
Lola took a minute before replying, "Okay."
