At Nick's acceptance, Boss Falco calmly smiled and let out a deep sigh.
"Wise decision, kid. Family comes first," he said, glancing at Goro and Tommy incredulously.
Calmly, the two hefty men gave up their hold on Nick.
"I'll let you off for tonight. Go home, have a nice meal, and rest. Tomorrow, you'll get picked up by one of your colleagues, and he'll set you up. You start work immediately, so quit your old job, already," he said.
"Already did. Got fired today," he said flatly.
Boss Falco let out a hearty laugh. "You see that?! This is God's timing, I'm telling ya!"
Nick squinted his eyes and asked cautiously, "So… you're just going to forget what I did to you guys?"
Boss Falco smiled lightly, "We did quite a few things to you before then. Let's just call it water under the bridge… considering you work for me now."
'Lies.'
Nick scoffed inwardly and said, "Okay. I appreciate that, but what about your men, most especially that hateful Asian guy and… Tommy here?"
