KO tried to see the good in every situation, no matter how dier. So what if Star was slowly hurting her own body with visible agony and barely aiming their attacks as everyone was forced to evade erratically? She was able to keep the Diamonds focused on her for a few seconds, which was more than anyone else had done today in terms of taking out the big overall threat.
"Ugh, my head is splitting." One of the girls in the witch group, Willow if he remembered correctly, groaned as she got up in a daze. "At least whatever Star's doing is dampening whatever effect they have on us."
"When she's not backfiring it at us!" Gwen shouted, putting up some barriers. "Can anyone else get close?"
"My power's already spent! I'm gonna need some cover to recharge!" Carapace chanted as his wristband started to beep.
"I'm on it. Resistance!" Minotaurox shouted, running into the flames and energy.
"We need a new strategy." Ladybug said. "The lucky charm gave us a bad plan, these guys almost overpowered a Cataclysm, and Star's powers are only dealing minor damage at best."
"Underworld Frozen Wasteland!" Said friend unleashed what could only be described as an unworldly wasteland of coldness on the two bad guys, who were stuck frozen for five seconds before shaking it off.
"Okay, Earth Team to base, how long do we have until Ben's able to transform again!?" Marco announced into the coms.
"His watch is sparking red and his right eye had every white part turn black." That sent Gwen on edge, worry in her eyes. "Also, all the fighters are getting overwhelmed, they're being pushed back to Ludo's castle."
"We can probably do more good over there now with Blue Diamond off of Mewni." Luz added in. "Send the fighters over here, Team Witch can better protect the castle."
"Take my scissors." Marco tossed the blades over. "We need to save Voyage just in case, and they should function with … that going on." He pointed to Star, raising pointy black spikes and spines everywhere as Blue and Yellow were beginning to surround her.
"Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup!" KO shouted to the only kids that were close to his age here at the moment. "We need to shave some of the load off of Star, think you can up for a little distraction?" KO announced as he let his own power cover his whole body.
"They may consider us insects, but bugs are known to bite!" Blossom nodded as the three off them flew straight into the heart of the battle in a rainbow stream, blocking off the Diamond's view as KO caught up with the raging Star.
"Star, you need to calm down!" He shouted. "You're going to overextend yourself."
"Even at my hardest I can barely make them sweat! Holding back is going to get us killed!" She attempted to make another dash right into Blue, but KO grabbed her by the arms and pinned her down.
"And putting yourself between them all alone is going to get you killed faster!" KO reminded her. "We need that firepower, but if you can't keep a cool head, then your brother's going to wake up to see his sister smashed into the ground! Is that what you want him to see!?"
"I …" She stopped, the black veins dying away. "I … can't do that."
"It seems that the Mewman's energy has finally died out." Blue spoke from behind the Powerpuff girls. "They're no longer the problem." There was a build up of energy, the area around them becoming a darker blue.
"There's a balance between having rage and having focus." KO stood up and let Star stand up, clasping his own fists together. "The path to greatness is hard and long." He slowly walked up to the slowly built up pile of energy as he tapped into a piece of himself that he hadn't thought about in a long time. "It's a struggle we fight to face everyday…"
"Why do organics always insist on blethering nonsense?!" Blue Diamond shot one of those Blue orbs right at him.
"...But one thing to remember." His body glowed a slight magenta as his eyes glowed yellow, where a dome of power surrounded him and collided with the orb, where it shrank and shrank until it was gone. " ...Is no matter how high or rocky the mountain is, the path to the peak is worth it ."
"KO…how did you..?"
"A little gift from my Dad's side of the family." He may have hated the disemparentment part of his powers, but that wasn't any excuse to not accept it. " You are a rushing river of power colliding with a rock. Keep steady and true, and we will win."
Star looked at him, and gave a light smirk as she regrew those six arms and wings of hers. "OK KO, let's be heroes." With a single fist pump between them, they both charged in.

Luz and the others warped inside the castle. "How are we doing?"
"Good news, thanks to Blue Diamond being off planet, the Mewmans are doing much better!" Wander shouted as some people slowly got up. "Their energy and strength is returning and everything!"
"Bad news, the Quartz soldiers are now accompanied by Lazulis and Glasses carrying massive amounts of weaponized water and sand." Slyvia spoke, jumping through a window. "Not to mention the Rubies are now packing blasters."
"And our side isn't doing too good either." The computer nerd known as Jeremy spoke, typing rapidly. "I already had to devirtualize Odd and Yumi."
"Just … give us an hour or two …" A Japanese girl spoke, looking half dead.
"The kid isn't looking too good either." Bismuth pointed to the unconscious Ben, who's watch was giving off dangerous red sparks.
"I'm fine…I'm…" Ben violently coughed as the sparks kept spreading with a minor orange one here and there. "Just…five more minutes till hero time…"
"We'll wait till then." Dipper said sternly. "Another problem is they also brought in the airships. The KND is doing everything they can, but we're being blown out of the sky."
" We've made quite a few EMP's to power them down, but they're pretty relentless." Phineas announced on the calms. "It's taking some serious horsepower just to unfly them, we may not have the speed…"
"Speed you say?" A new voice Luz didn't recall hearing before spoke with a tone full of confidence and cockiness. " Will the fastest ship in Homeworld's arsenal suffice?" On the monitors, a bright green blur began skiing across the sky, sending missiles and lasers towards the enemy ships and blowing them up.
"Lars?" Marco's voice asked. "I … Did we recruit you? I feel like I would have remembered that."
"Star brought me on kinda at the last minute. Said it was an all hands on deck thing." The new voice snickered as more ships were blown. "And did you really think you could cut me out of something as big as a dimensional war, Diaz?"
"Meh, he already seems more useful than the dragon we fought." Hunter commented as he spun his staff.
"I'm doing my best out here man!" Maybe they went too far using the Magma glyphs on Jake.
"Ready to take on the world again, Luz?" Amity asked with a cute smile.
"As if I'm never not doing that." Luz smirked right back as her friends charged out of the castle with the rainbow haired gem.
"I almost feel bad for saying this, but this brings back some pretty good memories!" Bismuth announced as she used her hammer hands to pound a couple of Ruby's into the ground. "Small group of ragtags from all over against overwhelming odds…rather nostalgic!"
"Everyone likes a good battle every now and then." A teen with two swords and a bandana said exhaustedly. "But this seems pretty intense."
"Intense was basically another word for comfortable back in the Emperor's Coven!" Hunter announced as he used Flapjack to slice in half a couple of Amethysts. Felt so weird to fight those, not just for the confusion with the CG one, but also because they all sounded like Vee.
"And these guys are nothing to a Grugby match!" Willow said as she poofed multiple Jaspers simultaneously with spiky vine whips. "Bring it on, you overgrown rocks! Plants beat you any day of the week."
"Nice! You witches truly got some fire in you!" Bismuth complimented as she used her arms as a scythe to chop away an agate or two.
"What can I say, the fiery ones can be the best friends you can ask for." Luz smiled, using some more glyphs to electrify a group of sniping Rubies.
"Hey, they're behind us too!" Gus shouted, disguised as an Amethyst.
"Where!?" The Rubies fell for it, hook, line and sinker, where they were overtaken by Amity's abomination trap that was right underneath them.
"Witches vs aliens…someone should really write a book about that one of these days." Amity smirked as she turned the sludge into giant hands that crushed the red soldiers into their base form.
"Stranger things have happened." Yumi said, slashing a few of them with her fans. "So, we push on forward?"
Luz would have responded, but a boom in the sky cut her off … a thousand or more ships entering the atmosphere … "Oh Titan, help us all."
"I'm not certain about a titan.." The sky and air started to get darker around them. "But I'm certain that I can bring something to the table." Floating in the sky came out Eclipsa, her umbrella wand unfolded and pointed towards a fleet. "I call the spell which has no name, My mother's gift with which she reigned…" The darkness grew more and more as what looked like a butterfly with a skull for a body made out of dark light grew from the tip.
"Anyone else feel the absolute horror coming to them on an instinctual level?" Jake asked, flying down to the group. Everyone nodded simultaneously, too scared to say anything out loud.
"Eclipse my heart with rightful power…"
Luz turned to Globgor, who she noted was running to the group. "Is this a duck and cover situation or-" She tried to get clarity, until he stretched his arms and yanked them all back.
"Stand before the queen and cower!" The dark butterfly grew in size, becoming even bigger than the castle as it shot out into the sky, colliding with a whole fleet of those ships…
KarEEEEEEEEK!
Where they all…melted in the air, smelted pieces of hundreds of ships falling to the ground as it totally annihilated ship after ship…and it showed no signs of stopping as it kept flying upwards.
"What … was … that?" Amity asked meekly.
"The spell with no name." Eclipsa answered with a frown as she landed next to them. "It destroys everything it touches. Once a day slays a foe. Twice a day slays a world. Thrice a day slays a dimension …"
"I am both fascinated by awe and incredibly scared of that level of power." Luz said honestly.
"There's a reason why I never use it, I like having a multiverse to live in." Elcipsa said with a small bow. "I believe that's the best I can do for today, other than a minor attack here and there." Considering she just took out the majority of the sky fleet, Luz was inclined to believe the Queen had done more than enough.

Kelly had hopped onto Lion and grabbed Steven, taking him to the most isolated part of the area she could find and left him there. "I know you'll want to fight the moment you get back up, so this way you can rest in peace and reach the fight quick enough." She kissed her unconscious boyfriend's cheek and rested him down. "Wish me luck."
She turned to Lion, who simply gave Steven's face a lick, before lowering himself to her. Glad to see she bonded so well with the boy's number one pet. Part of her believed it was them being 'hair buddies'. "Okay big guy, let's avenge Steven and kick some diamond ass in his place!"
"RAAAGH!"He roared as they rode back into the battlefield, looking over the current situation. The Miraculous Gang had recharged, trying their luck once more with mixed success. Ladybug's lucky charm just kept giving her a picture of an hourglass on a piece of paper, Queen Bee couldn't get close enough to sting them, Viperion was coordinating with Garnet on future strategy, Chat Noir was ready to intercept in case they formed another green ball of oblivion, and the rest of them mixed up mid range attacks with Pearl and Amethyst.
On offense was KO, the Powerpuffs, and Star, the only ones whose powers actually came close to hurting them…if you called slight slaps to the face hurting them. The tide was slightly shifted in their favor with KO's own energy drain power countering Blue's enough for magic attacks to hit her, while the girls were mainly keeping Yellow off balance with Lapis hurling watery fists at the Diamonds every now and again.
"How are we doing on Ben!?" Kelly asked as she got deeper and deeper into the heart of the battle.
"... Okay … so Blue Diamond may or may not have activated the SDM on the Omnitrix." Dipper said hesitantly.
"In non-nerd talk please!?" Anne shouted.
"A self-destruct mode that can rip apart the universe if Ben uses the Omnitrix anymore today." Gwen answered. "So no more hero time for Ben unless we all just say 'fuck it' and end it all."
"Please don't tempt me!" Sasha shouted as she batted away another blue ball of energy, her swords snapping in half. "So please tell me we have another deus ex machina on hand!"
Kelly looked at her sword. It wasn't a gem shattering weapon, but it was still capable of poofing one. "I have a crazy stupid idea…"
"Crazy stupid is half of what our ideas are anyways!" Finn responded as he ducked under a bolt of lightning from Yellow
"Get Blue distracted. We'll portal behind and stab her with Rose's sword. It's supposed to spoof any gem." And given Rose was counted among those gems, and she was Pink Diamond … she was feeling a lot more confident about this idea.
"Distracted eh?" Anne said with a smirk. "Hey Blue, have you ever heard about updog!?"
"What inane jabber are you going on about now!?" Blue's attention was shifted to the Thai girl. "What in the stars is updog!?"
"Nothing much, just the giant fist about to collide with your face!" Anne responded as Jake (the dog one) enlarged his entire arm and collided with the Diamond's sad looking face.
"Perfect!" Kelly smirked as Lion opened a portal one that would lead her right on top of the space tyrant. "They say Diamonds are unbreakable…let's see just how true it is!" She pointed her sword down, right on top of her head…
CLING
Blue caught her in mid air by the blade, her eyes solely gazed on the sword. "I remember this sword….this is the weapon that shattered her!"With a simple grip, the sword Kelly had gotten from Steven, the sword that got them through so much, the sword that cemented everything she had become to the group … was broken like a twig. "You will pay for carrying it with your hands!"And a fist moving faster than it had any right to move hit Kelly's head harder than she's ever been punched before.
A part of her felt grateful that she's been punched as a species long enough to survive this … a part of her regrets being able to live through the pain. Kelly was launched hard into the ground, a small crater forming around her.
"Kelly!" Marco ran up to her in the hole she was lying in.
"Don't…don't worry about it bro….I'm made out of thicker stuff than that.." Kelly said with her vision in a daze. "Big Blueberry has nothing on Mama's punches."
"I can't tell if you're serious or delirious, both are seriously concerning." Marco stated bluntly.
"It could be a small portion of cumulative trauma to the situation at hand." Sasha said off handedly.
"... A blonde psychologist …"
"MARCO UBALDO DIAZ!" Star shouted as Kelly could make out a fuzzy black spiral of power. " DON'T YOU DARE BRING UP PSYCHOLOGY RIGHT NOW!"
========================================================================
Yellow Diamond once more batted away the barrage of fist shaped energy blasts. "How long do you think you can keep this up for?" She asked. "An hour? A day? A month if you 'put your heart to it'?"
"That's always worked before, so I see no reason to not do that now!" The tiny organic that vaguely resembled a Ruby shouted as it flipped in the air and continued to avoid her barrage of attacks. "If there's one thing you learn about being a hero, it's that you never give up!"
"A sad fate about organics." Blue stated, raising her palm to stop another strike from the colorful flying organics. "They can so rarely accept reality … regardless of the species." She said, firing off another blast at the Mewman.
" Oh like we're the ones who can't accept reality here!" The blasted savage growled as it sent more daggers of darkness towards them that oddly stung for some reason. " Attacking and ending so many lives for some asinine ideal about perfection, destroying whole world's because two pig headed IDIOTS can't get over themselves and process their grief about some dead BITCH!"
"Half your language is archaic and inane garble, but I know an insulting euphemism when I hear one." Yellow growled as she focused her attacks on the Mewman once more. "Not only do you refuse to give up, you continue to have the gall to insult our Pink's memory when you're so close to your demise."
"You mean the crazy rock lady that wanted to destroy our planet and was the only Diamond to ever fail?" An Amethyst hanging round the other organics shouted. "Oh geez, how ever will we compare to such an elegant and classy lady."
"... Do you want to shatter them, or should I rip out their gem and shove it down her throat?" Blue asked in the most 'done' tone she's heard from the gem in the last three thousand years. Who knew destroying organics could be a surreal bonding experience?
"I mean, seriously, your whole empire can't possibly be this good if we're still around giving all this trouble." The black cladded feline smirked. "Blue's off Mewni, the Cluster's still intact, hard to imagine you're able to get anything done right."
"I mean, you must never put any effort into your fights at all." … She glared at the green flying organic. "Talk about inexperienced."
"... You have the gall to call me inexperienced?" Yellow asked, no longer releasing her energy. "You dare to say I don't try ?" She let it build up further and further. "You dare to say after the subjugation and battles over multiple races for more millenia than countable, you dare to think I don't learn? " She still let nothing leak from inside of her body.
"Oh I know from personal experience that YOU NEVER LEARN!" A shrill voice called out as something slightly bigger than the organics, green, and made up of metal collided with her leg, making her slightly trip. "Hey, Yellow Clod!" A peridot shouted from the depths of the robonoid she was piloting. "Remember me!?"
"... No." With that simple declaration, she pointed at the gem, sending a volt that would reduce them to gem form.
"Well A for effort, I guess." One of the blonde haired organics said with a shrug.
"Well we've been fighting uphill for this long, didn't really expect that to change any time soon." The Mewman grumbled before lifting her arms. " Let's just get back to.. " Another portal (seriously, how many species had access to this technology before them!?) opened up behind the organics. "Huh, I didn't get any word on.."
"Star, dear, I know this is a hard time, but I have to admonish you for putting so much pressure on your own shoulders." Another insect creature…another Mewman flew out of it. "You need to learn how to delegate just a little better."
"Mom!?" The smaller Mewman cried out in shock. "You're alive! And here! And.. and!"
"All thanks to me, Starshine!" More and more figures came out of the portal, next being some three-eyed horned creature. "Opened up the Netherworld and hid your parents there as they recovered."
"Tom!?" The red human shouted. "Did you just time this well or what?"
"We coordinated with a lot of sources."
"Attention passengers, please brace for your above average crashing experience." Yellow turned to the giant aerial vehicle heading straight at … well, the entire beach.
"You got back up?!" The Smaller Mewman shouted. "But who…"
The ship crashed out, revealing a group of organics that somehow looked just uncanny as the children they were just fighting.
"I thought you said he knew how to fly!?" A pale looking organic chastised.
"He was the only pilot insane enough to work for me." A fowl organic with a cane shrugged as they got off. "Also he's surprisingly mastered the art of crashing, nobody ever gets hurt when he does it."
"What is the meaning of this!?" Blue demanded.
"Here's a little thing you have to learn about nearly all living creatures across the universe." A blonde organic walked up, patting the ruby looking organic on the head. "We raise our children to be strong, to be capable, to be able to handle anything the world throws at them…"
"But when people like you try to hurt our babies…well lets just say you have another thing coming." The pale looking organic twirled a staff in her hands.
"Another speech." Yellow noted with disdain, using her built up energy to fire a strong blast.
"Because to us, nothing is more important than our family." An old organic in a flower shirt took up a laser gun..
"So if you think our kids are trouble, then wait until you deal with us!" An old Amphibian creature cried out. "You're dealing with the people who taught them everything they know! You're dealing with Parents! Grandparents….!"
"You're dealing with the richest duck in the world!" The organic fowl shouted … before turning to the group. "That still counts on Earth right?"
"You're dealing with family regardless!" The Mewman shouted, firing off blasts of energy.
"And family…!" The pale one grew feathers and became more avian like before swiftly passing by her head, making Yellow flinch just ever so slightly. "..Never give up on each other, and never backs down for anything!"
"You're not the only one who does what they do for who they love." Blue spoke, holding onto Yellow as they combined energies once more. It hurt, feeling her emotions, but she would bear it if it meant finally moving on with this rock.
========================================================================
Steven blinked, standing up with a surprisingly refreshed body. "Alright, that didn't work. Maybe convince them from behind?" The Lucky Charm was rarely wrong from what Ladybug explained, and he's seen how grief stricken these guys were, surely there was something he could do to get them to realize Pink didn't get shattered.
"I mean they had that trial, right Marco?" He blinked, looking around to find himself in a forest. "Great, they must have moved me to not get in the way." Steven tried to gain an understanding of his surroundings. Gray skies, his body on the ground, fighting in the dist-
"What the?" Steven did a back take, looking at his body…the body that he wasn't in at the moment. "Am I really that fat?" He waved his arms attempting to touch his stomach, only for it to pass through. "Wow, I'm like a ghost. So this is the astral jumping thing Eclipsa mentioned." He looked around the realm in question, it was like the normal world but just really gray. "I kinda expected a less bleak atmosphere for the realm of souls." Steven was faaaar too used to death at this point in his life.
Honestly, it was a miracle they haven't met a ghost friend. "But if I can jump into people while not being in physical danger …" He let out a smirk. "Alright, revelation plan two point oh is a go!" He ran, or more accurately, floated since his legs just sunk through the ground, to the massive explosions of energy.
Around him he got a good look at his friends, the group fighting the diamonds being much bigger than he remembered, even his Mom and Dad were there, so he guessed he must've been late to the 'here comes the calvary' moment. "Hey, so can anyone hear me!" He shouted, trying to see if he could get their attention. "Nothing."
"You think I'm done!? " Steven turned to see Lapis above the water, hurling water at the diamonds. "I've only begun to fight!" Lighting was shot at her, and she got poofed.
"Huh, honestly with how strong they are, I'm surprised that didn't happen sooner." He took a glance at the gem, luckily away from the battle so no one would try to step on her. "Don't worry Lapis, I'm gonna end this fight soon…I hope." He gulped.
He looked at Star. She was a swirling mess of blue and black lines trying to devour one another. A small red line extended from her body. He reached for it, only to see if he focused enough, it connected to him ."... We're always connected …"
"Wait what?" She looked around. "Steven! ?" Apparently the distraction allowed a blast from yellow to send her flying. "Ouch … much more painful than I remembered."
"Ahhh! Sorry! Didn't mean to distract you, I just wanted your attention!"
"Honestly, not the worst thing to happen today." She groaned, getting up as her lights died down and shrunk to a small calm blue, filled with sugar and rainbows. "What's going on, are you dead?"
"Half dead...I think." Steven explained. "It's astral projection, another power that Eclipsa's been helping me with.
"Star, what's going on!?" He looked over to Marco, who's aura looked much more similar to the adults around him, forged from a strong history, scars painted around and a hidden beast ready to strike was waiting in lay. There was a faint pink line that connected him to Steven, but a thicker, much brighter red line that connected him to Star.
"Hey Marco, I'm here. I'm a ghost, and I'm going to talk to the Diamonds since this is the only way to do so without dying." Steven grabbed onto the string and quickly summed up his plan.
"While I would normally argue against going anywhere near them considering they stomped you last time, we're clearly out of options." Marco admitted. "I know we haven't asked this in a while but … any regrets?" It really did feel like forever since they calmly accepted how bad a situation was.
"Not that many really…only that I never got to officially plan Dad's wedding, which I am going to live to see!" Steven said with a steeled look. "You get everyone ready to back away, I'm gonna reach into their heads soon."
"Steven." He looked at Star, who was staring right at him, even if he knew she couldn't see him. "... Good luck …I love you bro."
"I love you too, sis." He held onto her hand.
"Whoa…I can actually feel you hold it….cool and freaky." Star laughed as she grew her wings and flew off.
"That's just how I roll, I guess." He rolled his eyes with a smirk and continued to float in the air, where he could hear everyone's thoughts and feelings just cry out. "So many thoughts, almost hard to swim through it all."
'Don't want to die, don't want to die!' He heard Amethyst mentally panic as she nervously flung her whip all over, her aura was basically her own gem filled with years of flowing joy always within the moment, ready for action and entertainment.
"You got this Amethyst." He wanted to encourage her. "You're in the astral plane…what was it that Quana did before?" He thought back to the fight, where the stretchy fusion was able to push back the despair and replace it with joy. If he was able to touch people in this state…"Worth a shot." He placed his hand on the gem's back. "You're not going to die! You're the strong gem that plays by her own rules and goes with her own flow! You got this!"
The Gem blinked, before letting out a smile. "Thanks for the pep talk Ste-man. You better come back when this is all over, you hear me!?" She rolled into a ball, launching themselves forward.
He then turned to Pearl, her aura looking bright and clean, but very shaky and nervous. 'Don't fail them now, you can't afford to fail her, to fail him…'
"You've never failed me Pearl! And you don't need someone's approval to feel good about yourself!" He touched her hand. "You've fought against Rose's orders just to make me happy! If you're going to fight, fight for yourself, for the strong independent gem that you've become!"
Pearl's eyes flinched in acknowledgement, before it became a determined grin as she shot lasers from her weapon. "I fight for myself! I choose to fight for what I care about!"
He turned to Garnet, her aura an unstable mesh of red flames and blue ice, scared present and panicked future. 'We're going to defuse. It always happens when we're needed most. Can we really not keep it together for one fight?'
"It doesn't matter if you're fused or apart, you're made of love! That will always shine through no matter what!"
The auras paused, before melding together in a calm lightning, all of the moment gazed upon at once. "You always pull out amazing things, don't you Steven?"
"It's a gift." He smirked as he turned to another figure, one that sent his heart racing every time he saw her.
'It's gonna be okay, right? I'm not going to die here, right?!' Kelly's aura was green and unstable looking, unsure of what it needed to do or what decisions to make. ' I lost the sword, I don't have Steven around…what can I do, what can I do…'
"You can continue to punch your problems in the face!" Steven pepped her up like she did when he was first Tiger Millionaire, the pink link between them thick and strong looking. "You've always been able to take care of yourself, you've learned how to fight by yourself, you've learned that you need help by yourself! You are strong and capable no matter the situation or who's by your side, if anyone at all!"
It calmed down, a stable branch with thorns in its bark, a mad grin present. "Thanks for getting me out of a funk Steven." She said, letting out a scream as she began chucking large rocks with her hair.
"I so want to marry her." Steven blushed as he looked at the Diamonds … and suddenly was much more terrified than ever before, their sheer auras threatening to dominate the world around them. Blue was a semi tranquil and shifting orb that looked like it would drown his entire existence out. Yellow was a well of energy that would eradicate all matter into its base components.
' How miserable…' Yellow's thoughts were loud and commanding. 'I knew Pink was incapable of handling her own colony, yet I still gave into her .'Steven attempted to slowly approach, even when his non-existent skin in this form felt like it was being covered in fire ants. ' Why wasn't I more responsible for her…why didn't I watch out for her?'
Each thought sent out pulse after pulse of her presence, each wave knocking him back and getting her farther and farther away. "Agggh! Her brain's too sealed up!" It was like trying to swim through a stack of tiny metal needles
'She's gone …' Blue's thoughts were more melancholic and deep. 'I need to get back, use the magic of Mewni to try and fix the sins of Rose, bring back Pink.' He felt like he was suffocating with nonexistent lungs under all the grief as he got closer and closer. It was like a rushing tide of cold and heart stopping water trying to drown him. 'All these organics claim to be fighting for their loved ones…why can't they understand why I MUST do this for her?'
Steven understood just a little more why Blue represented sympathy, it wasn't the pity that she showed others, it was the pity she forced people to feel for her that drained away their strength. Closer and closer, he felt that heavy despair increased its pressure on him, his arms getting weaker. "Almost…there…" With a mighty stroke, he managed to land a single hand on Blue's head. "Blue Diamond, Please Listen! Pink is…!" He manage to spit out
"Who's there!?" The sheer shock launched him back. "What was … why did that …"
"What's wrong now, Blue?" Yellow turned to her, the yellow staticy arua managing to shrink just a little in its pulsing power. Maybe this time he had a chance!
"I felt something…someone's presence…" Blue looked around the air in curiosity. "It felt….familiar somehow."
"It's obviously one of the organics tricks." Yellow scoffed as he made his way closer. "They've displayed a large absurdity of powers as it is."
His eyes were burning and his skin felt like it was going to jump off of him in discomfort, but he managed to grab ahold of that helmet she was wearing. "Yellow! Pink Diamond wasn't shattered! It was all faked! Just stop fighting and I….!" He managed to yellow before the aura forced him away
"I felt it too!" The Diamond spoke with suprise. "Show yourself, coward!" She shouted, now back to back with Blue.
"It's less of a coward thing and more you two are just too much." He muttered to himself.
"Over there!" Blue shouted as their attention was turned to him, both of their arms raised as their aura's began building in power.
Wait what? They could see him? Was it a Diamond thi- "AAAAGGHHHH!" Both of their beams intersected, spiralling into a green helix that dug its way into his very being.
"No…No…NO!" He tried getting his words out, but they were suffocating him with their powers, he was going to be ripped apart, he was…
"Steven, I believe in you!" Star's voiced called out to him as the pink link between them glowed
"Don't let the impossibilities stop you now!" Marco's voice called out next.
"You've stayed by my side when I gave up on myself, so I'll do the same for you!" Kelly cheered him on!
"Listen to me …" He channeled everything. "Pink Diamond …" He reached for every source of power. "Wasn't shattered …" He dipped down. "I'm her son!!" He shot back, a supernova of pink blasting into the empty void of the astral plane.
"What the…?" Yellow's eyes widened.
"This aura..." Blue looked shocked.
"We have no reason to fight!" Steven kept calling out as his aura filled the blank and empty looking world, everyone's attention, from the diamond's to his friends all turning to his direction. "We're not enemies, we're family! I need you to know…WHO I AM!"
The entire world went white, and Steven felt himself stir for a couple of minutes, his vision suddenly being filled with a lot more greens and blues. "Steven!" He felt himself being shook awake by Star, where he was in the forest….surrounded by everyone…including the Diamonds. "You did it…they know…they finally know…"
"Pink!" They both shouted with wide eyes and … relief on their faces … finally, a break. They managed to talk their way out of this.
