Chapter 149 - 149 Raging Dragon, Cruising an Ant

A black pattern spread across Simu's scale-covered face, making him look even more terrifying.

His two dragon horns pointed skyward as if ready to pierce the heavens, and his towering figure reached an astonishing seven meters.

Countless laser beams shot from his fingertips, transforming into a storm of light that rained down upon the Suna Shinobi troops.

"It's Hanyu Simu! He's here!"

As the only Light Release user in the ninja world, this technique had become Simu's signature move.

Six thousand Suna Shinobi stood with grim expressions.

Though Simu had once slain the Third Kazekage, making him an enemy of the Land of Wind, his strength was undeniable—they had to take him seriously.

Numerous Suna Shinobi rushed forward, forming hand seals in unison.

"Combined Jutsu: Wind Style—Suna Formation!"

A violent gust erupted from their mouths, merging into a massive hurricane.

Simu's barrage of light clashed with the raging winds but was swiftly swept away by the high-speed vortex.

"Hanyu Simu, this time, you'll pay in blood!"

If any great nation despised Simu the most, it was undoubtedly Sunagakure.

Iwagakure had only lost two tailed beasts.

But Sunagakure had lost a Kazekage.

Determined to settle the score, they deployed the largest force, making them the ones most eager to eliminate Simu.

Six thousand ninjas clashed, unleashing powerful Wind Style jutsu to bombard their distant foes.

Simu frowned slightly.

Standing firm, his massive frame bore the brunt of the raging hurricane.

Every gust of wind cut deep grooves into the rocky ground.

Small stones were sliced clean in half, their surfaces polished smooth.

Yet, when the razor-sharp wind blades struck Simu's scaled body, they sparked harmlessly against his impenetrable defense.

The hurricane howled past.

The land was left in ruins.

But Simu stood there, arms crossed.

Not a single scratch on him.

Simu had already stored his coat of justice in a scroll.

With the combined power of his Mythical Beast Fruit, Admiral-level physique, and Armament Haki, ordinary ninjutsu couldn't even scratch him.

The Suna Shinobi stared in disbelief.

Thousands of them had unleashed Wind Style jutsu together—yet it had no effect?

Was this even possible?

The harsh reality struck a heavy blow to their morale.

Simu, however, seemed completely unfazed by their shock.

Not that he would care even if he noticed.

"You like using Wind Style so much? Then let me show you what real wind power looks like."

He spoke as if it were nothing.

The energy of his Devil Fruit surged wildly.

His body expanded, stretching inch by inch, until he transformed into a colossal dragon hundreds of meters long.

Gravity itself seemed powerless against him.

Despite his massive size, he ascended effortlessly into the sky.

"This is...!"

Pakura, leading the team, looked ugly.

Even though she had received the latest intel on Hanyu Simu from Iwa Shinobi before the battle, nothing could have prepared her for this.

In ninja warfare, intelligence is everything.

Knowing an opponent's jutsu in advance allows you to analyze their weaknesses, plan accordingly, and gain a huge advantage on the battlefield.

But the man before her was an exception.

From Light Release to conventional ninjutsu, and now to beast transformation—each ability was more outrageous than the last.

The major ninja villages simply couldn't analyze Simu's powers fast enough to keep up with his rapid evolution.

Worse still, every one of his abilities was absurdly powerful.

There was no clear way to counter him.

At first, Light Release could be countered with traps and sealing techniques.

But now, the dragon before them was larger than a Tailed Beast.

What kind of sealing technique could possibly contain something this massive?

Simu gathered natural energy in his hands, fusing it with his Devil Fruit power.

He opened his mouth, and the air around him distorted.

A powerful vacuum formed as all the surrounding air was sucked into his fang-filled maw at an incredible speed.

"Sage Art: Bad Wind!"

The compressed air inside him accelerated, transforming into countless razor-sharp wind slashes that erupted outward.

Hundreds of light-blue air blades rained down on the Suna Shinobi troops like a storm.

Each slash was five to six meters long—more than enough to severely wound or even kill a ninja with a single hit.

"A technique even more terrifying than Kamaitachi..." Pakura muttered.

"When did he master such powerful Wind Style jutsu?"

Faced with this devastating area attack, the Suna Shinobi quickly formed hand seals, unleashing a group jutsu.

The violent winds managed to deflect some of the slashes, altering their paths.

But even so, many still reached the ground, leaving deep scars upon impact.

Within the ranks of the Suna Shinobi troops, chaos erupted.

Large and small rocks scattered across the battlefield—and even the very ground—were sliced apart the moment they came into contact with the slashes.

"Damn it!"

A Suna Shinobi gritted his teeth, raising his ninja sword.

Chakra surged through the blade as he swung it against the incoming attack.

But in an instant—

Snap!

The chakra-coated sword split clean in two.

The relentless slash didn't stop.

A flash of light, and the Suna Shinobi was severed in half.

For a moment, the battlefield looked like it had been shredded by a colossal butcher's knife, leaving deep scars across the land.

The Suna Shinobi suffered heavy losses.

The Jōnin managed to hold their ground, but the Chūnin and Genin, unable to dodge, were helpless against Simu's merciless assault.

Pakura surveyed the devastated battlefield, her gaze falling on the comrade who had been cut in half.

Grief filled her heart—but there was nothing she could do.

Against a monster like Simu, ordinary ninjas had only one role: to sacrifice their lives, draining his chakra little by little.

Their only hope was to hold him back long enough to set up the real finishing blow.

No matter what—they had to kill him here!

This was the shared resolve of every Jōnin, including Pakura.

"Hanyu Simu! I'm here to kill you!"

Hearing this, the surrounding Jōnin immediately formed hand seals.

A powerful gust of wind surged beneath Pakura's feet, lifting her high into the air as she shot toward the massive dragon above.

Simu may have been enormous, but thanks to his powerful Observation Haki, he was keenly aware of every movement on the battlefield.

Before Simu, Pakura was no bigger than a fly.

Her twin buns fluttered wildly in the air currents as she soared forward.

Her eyes burned with determination, her entire being radiating fearlessness.

"Scorch Style: Oversteamed Fire Dragon!"

A crimson flame surged forth, forming a fire dragon that roared toward Simu.

The moisture in the air evaporated instantly as it passed.

If an ordinary person were hit, they would be reduced to a dried husk in seconds.

Pakura's strength had grown more than threefold since her days as a newly promoted Jōnin.

Now, she was among the strongest in Sunagakure.

But in front of the colossal dragon that was Simu, her fire dragon was nothing more than a mere ember.

Watching her charge forward without fear, Simu sighed inwardly.

Loyal to Sunagakure… yet doomed to be betrayed by it.

A pity.

But at this moment, none of that mattered.

They were enemies now.

There was a hint of disdain in the dragon's golden pupils.

A violent cyclone swirled around his massive claw.

Simu controlled the raging wind, swinging his claw to crush the oncoming fire dragon.

Under the terrifying pressure, Pakura's attack collapsed instantly.

Simu twisted his enormous body, opening his jaws to bite down on Pakura.

Pakure fell under the pull of gravity, but Simu was faster.

With no ability to fly, she was like a helpless fish in mid-air, completely at his mercy.

Just as Simu's jaws were about to close, Pakura suddenly smiled.

A dozen puppets shot up from the ground, each resembling different types of insects.

As they reached mid-air, their abdomens split open simultaneously.

Simu narrowed his eyes, sensing danger.

Sure enough, a series of sealing scrolls extended from the puppets' bodies.

The scrolls unfurled rapidly, revealing black inscriptions.

In an instant, chakra surged from the scrolls, forming chains that wrapped tightly around Simu's massive body.

"Simu, you have no escape."

"This is Sunagakure's Thousand Lock Seal." Pakura landed firmly on the ground.

This seal is powerful enough to restrain Shukaku, a beast known for its sealing abilities.

It is considered one of Sunagakure's greatest treasures.

To ensure Simu's defeat, Sunagakure had spared no expense.

Pakura kept her eyes locked on him.

"The Thousand Lock Seal suppresses all chakra flow. You should be powerless now."

Simu tilted his head slightly.

It was true—his chakra had stopped circulating.

But…

Did this girl misunderstand something?

I don't need chakra at all.

The massive dragon suddenly reared its head, and a terrifying force erupted from its body.

The sealing chains instantly tightened, groaning under the immense strain.

Pakura's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Impossible! How can he still move?!"

Before she could react, the chains binding Simu shattered.

Fragments of light blue chakra scattered into the air like glowing embers.

Simu lifted his massive head, flames surging in his mouth.

Now that the seal was broken, there was no reason to hold back.

"Sage Art: Boro Breath!"
