"They're the Psychic Sisters—Eisa, the elder sister, and Misa, the younger one. Just like me, they also serve under Lady Sabrina."

Seeing Sato's attention shift to the two photographs on the table, Maya began to calmly and steadily introduce the rare pair of twin psychics featured in the images.

Perhaps due to having once been bitter rivals in some sense, Maya knew the twin sisters far better than she did her "enemy," Ailes. So when it came to Eisa and Misa, she could speak in much greater detail.

However, the more Maya delved into the twins' background, the more furrowed Sato's brow became. His expression turned increasingly grave as he stared at the photos on the table.

From Maya's account, Sato gleaned several key facts about the Psychic Sisters:

First, while Eisa and Misa both possessed psychic abilities, their innate talent wasn't particularly high—even somewhat inferior to Maya's. Individually, each of them was about on par with an average Elite-level trainer. However, when combined with their psychic abilities, they could rival top-tier Elite trainers.

Second—and this was the most crucial point—the two sisters shared identical genetic material. Because of this, their mental resonance had reached an astonishingly perfect 100%.

In other words, their psychic energy could be shared between them.

To simplify, if a normal psychic's mental energy had a capacity of 1, then someone like Sabrina, a born psychic prodigy, might have a base mental capacity of 2.

Eisa and Misa, being ordinary psychics, each had a capacity of 1. But due to their near-perfect mental synchronization, their energies could be stacked together.

Which meant that, if they chose to, Eisa and Misa could effectively merge into a single entity—a lower-grade version of Sabrina.

The reason they were considered "low-grade" compared to Sabrina was because of their average psychic aptitude. Unlike Sabrina, whose exceptional talent allowed her mental power to grow rapidly, the twins' growth was much slower.

Still, that didn't make them any less dangerous. Individually they might not stand out—but when they joined forces, they became a powerful psychic with formidable mental strength.

Third, the sisters shared a natural psychic link. Within a certain distance, they could understand each other's thoughts without speaking or even using telepathy. Their coordination was among the best in the world.

Taking all this into account, it was easy for Sato to conclude that Eisa and Misa were absolute masters of double battles.

Individually, they might be no more than average Elite-level trainers. But together, they could easily overpower even pseudo Elite-Four level trainers with their coordination and mental synergy.

Now, this formidable pair of psychic twins would be his opponents. Sato couldn't help but feel immense pressure. A part of him even began considering ditching Maya and working solo.

In truth, if it had only been Ailes, Maya could've escaped even if she couldn't defeat him. But because of the unexpected interference from the Psychic Sisters, she ended up captured.

So in Maya's heart, it was the twin sisters she hated most—not Ailes. But due to her current lack of strength, she had settled for taking revenge on Ailes, the one who had personally tormented her.

"You just need to stall them for a little while—no need to go all out. I'll take care of Ailes myself. By the way, why did you ask me here today? Is there something you need my help with?"

Seeing Sato's face grow increasingly grim with her explanation, Maya realized she had pushed too far. She quickly softened her request and shifted the topic.

Sato's expression lightened slightly at her change of tone. If he only needed to stall the sisters for a short time, it might be doable. Still risky, though—when the two fought as one, they were essentially a miniature Sabrina, and escaping them wouldn't be easy.

But with the right approach, Maya's request wasn't entirely unreasonable.

Now that he understood the sisters' abilities, Sato's first instinct was to divide and conquer. If he could take one of them out, the other's threat level would drop significantly.

"…Here's the situation."

Temporarily setting aside Maya's request, Sato organized his thoughts and began explaining how he became a psychic and asked her several questions about psychic powers in general.

To convince Maya that he truly had become a psychic, Sato once again crossed his eyes and focused his mental energy on the spoon in his hand.

"No way… Your luck is insane. Sure, it's the lowest level of psychic talent, but there's no doubt about it—you are a psychic now. You can train your mental energy through meditation."

Maya was utterly stunned when she saw the faint blue psychic energy coiling around the spoon in Sato's hand. Her expression became complicated, full of disbelief and envy.

Had she not seen it with her own eyes—that dim blue aura wrapped around the spoon—or sensed the faint psychic wave coming from Sato herself, Maya would've assumed he was playing a prank on her.

But reality was undeniable. Sato was now a psychic with a base mental strength of at least 10.

Aside from shock, Maya was overwhelmed with jealousy and frustration. She knew how valuable that awakening potion Sato drank was.

Even psychics could benefit from that potion—especially ones like her, whose natural mental strength wasn't particularly high. It would've been a game-changer.

Maya couldn't help thinking: If only I had taken that potion instead, my base mental strength of 13 could have jumped to 15…

But now that Sato had consumed it, that dream was gone.

And while a difference of 2 points—13 to 15—might seem small, it was actually vast.

Maya had learned from the queen of psychics, Sabrina herself, that a natural mental strength of 10–14 was considered low-level talent, 15–19 counted as mid-level talent, 20–24 fell into the high-level category.

As for those born with a mental strength of 25 or above, they were so rare in history you could count them on one hand.

A psychic's talent determined the efficiency of their meditation training. This was the primary limiting factor for every psychic's growth.

If the numbers were put into perspective: a low-level psychic trained at a base efficiency of 1, a mid-level psychic trained at 10, and a high-level psychic like Sabrina? 100.

Sabrina's natural mental strength was 22—putting her firmly in the high-level bracket. It was thanks to this incredible gift that her mental strength grew at an astounding rate.

At a young age, she had already become a powerful psychic with a terrifying mental capacity—reaching a height most psychics could never hope to attain in their entire lives.
