When Till rounded the corner and dashed towards the river that would take him to the checkpoint separating the Inner Zone from the Outskirts, a sudden realisation hit him.
'Crap! The bitch took my commlink...how am I going to get through?'
He whipped his head back and forth between the path towards the checkpoint and the road that would lead him to Zone 2 and the Helsing compound.
He could return there now and ask for help, or he could try to sneak through the checkpoint somehow and find a way to get back to Zone 2 afterwards.
The latter would be difficult without a link and therefore access to his credits.
"Ergh, no. I'm not leaving Apollo there with that psycho bitch! I'll find a way. Apollo first, Kit later." Reaffirmed in his decision, Till turned back to the riverside path and sprinted forwards, past the groups of Inner Zone citizens that meandered their way through the city streets.
