Martha sobbed, "Ever since she returned home, Serena has been neglected. I just couldn't stand it."
Hunter's voice grew colder, "Was Serena involved?"
"No, no, she wasn't. This was all my idea. It had nothing to do with Serena! Serena is such an innocent and kind girl. She would definitely have stopped me if she knew!"
Martha cried, "Mr. Collins, you have to believe me. It's all my fault!"
"Who else knows about this?" Hunter asked coldly.
"No one else, just Rosemary." Martha sobbed. "Rosemary had promised me she wouldn't tell anyone."
"She didn't."
Upon hearing this, Martha quickly lifted her gaze.
"I just asked in passing," Hunter said indifferently. "I didn't expect you to confess so quickly."
Martha froze in place. It took her a while to realize that Hunter had tricked her!
How despicable!
