I briefly glanced at the leathery bird giving me the side eye like I was the problem before burying myself in Chang Xuefeng's reassuring embrace. His arms tightened around me before his wings emerged and encapsulated me even more.
Nothing was taking me from his arms, and I couldn't help but smile even as the humans continued to scream.
"Just a little longer, Princess," murmured Chang Xuefeng, his head dipping so that I could hear him. "This ride won't last forever."
At that moment, I almost felt disappointed. I liked the idea of spending eternity in this cocoon with just us. Then again, I also knew that I would quickly miss the rest of the guys. I would have to come up with a cocoon big enough for all of us.
The feeling of falling quickly came to a crashing stop, and the ship hit something hard.
Chang Xuefeng let out a soft grunt as he took the impact, pulling me up higher so that my feet we no longer resting on the deck.
