"Mm."
Mu Chen looked at the bewildered Little Fairy Doctor and continued to explain, "This world is vast, and what you see here is just the tip of the iceberg. Legend has it that each world is like a leaf on a great tree. Across the myriad realms, there are ten thousand planes, and these ten thousand planes together form a colossal tree known as the World Tree."
"The World Tree?" The Little Fairy Doctor, still young, was naturally curious about new things and eagerly awaited Mu Chen's further explanation.
"Yes, the continent you are currently on, I call it the Battle Qi Continent. Beyond the Battle Qi Continent, there are countless other worlds," Mu Chen nodded.
"Mu Chen, which planes have you been to?" the Little Fairy Doctor asked.
"Not many. So far, I've only been to the Douluo Dimension, the Battle Qi Plane, and... the Hua Xia Plane." Mu Chen thought that "The Legend of the White Snake" was just a different era within the Hua Xia Plane, so it shouldn't be called the "Legend of the White Snake Plane" but rather the Hua Xia Plane.
As Mu Chen thought of the era of "The Legend of the White Snake" in the Hua Xia Plane, the images of Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing surfaced in his mind. Thinking of Xiao Bai, Mu Chen recalled her perfectly curved figure. Her slender waist could rival that of the Little Fairy Doctor before him.
Mu Chen missed Xiao Bai deeply, unable to forget her passion. As a man, he naturally hoped his wife could meet three criteria: presentable in public, skilled in the kitchen, and passionate in bed.
Being presentable in public meant she could bring him face and dignity, exuding an impressive aura.
Being skilled in the kitchen meant she could manage the household thriftily.
Being passionate in bed, well, that went without saying—hoping she could be wild and satisfy all his desires.
Xiao Bai was excellent, already meeting two of these three criteria.
Mu Chen missed Xiao Bai deeply, as well as Xiao Wu, Hu Liena, and especially the incredibly open Zi Zhenzhu. Oh, and Bo Saixi, who had now become the God of the Sea, the Goddess of Kindness, the Goddess of Life, the Golden Dragon King, the Silver Dragon King, Liu Erlong, and others. However, Mu Chen knew he couldn't afford to indulge in these comforts just yet.
Mu Chen had obtained the Chaos System, and deep inside, he felt a strong sense of purpose and urgency.
He believed that obtaining the Chaos System must mean there was some mission waiting for him.
Mu Chen also felt that apart from him, there was a high chance others might also possess systems. If he could traverse the myriad realms, wouldn't there be others who could do the same? This was the source of his sense of crisis.
"Can you tell me about the Hua Xia Plane and the Douluo Dimension? I've never left Qing Shan Town in my life," the Little Fairy Doctor said, her eyes filled with longing.
"Of course," Mu Chen smiled.
Mu Chen then recounted his experiences in the Douluo Dimension to the Little Fairy Doctor, including his stories from that plane.
"Spirits? Soul Rings? Soul Beasts?"
The Little Fairy Doctor murmured these words, her eyes gleaming with hope. She asked excitedly, "Mu Chen, in the Douluo Dimension, even poison-attribute Soul Masters are truly respected?"
In Mu Chen's stories, there was the figure of Du Gu Bo, the Poison Douluo. Hearing the Little Fairy Doctor's words, Mu Chen knew her heart was shackled by her Calamity Poison Body. In other words, the Little Fairy Doctor, who aspired to become an alchemist, had instead become a Poison Master feared by all.
The Little Fairy Doctor possessed the Calamity Poison Body but was deeply repulsed by it.
"Of course."
Mu Chen enlightened her, "All medicine has some degree of toxicity. Poison can be used to save lives, just as it can be used to kill. It's like a sword—it can take lives, but it can also protect the weak from harm. To me, poison is a double-edged sword. As long as the person using it has a kind heart, what difference does it make if they're a Poison Soul Master or a Poison Douluo? The world is full of two-legged beasts masquerading as humans!"
"The heart?" The Little Fairy Doctor's eyes sparkled, as if she had seen a glimmer of hope.
"Mm, simply put, a righteous heart leads to righteousness, while an evil heart leads to evil. Whether one is human or beast, what difference does it make?" Mu Chen concluded.
"A righteous heart leads to righteousness, an evil heart leads to evil!" The Little Fairy Doctor murmured to herself. After a pause, she looked at Mu Chen and said happily, "Mu Chen, thank you."
"Why thank me? I haven't done anything for you," Mu Chen smiled.
"Anyway, thank you," the Little Fairy Doctor smiled at Mu Chen, her dimples making her look even more beautiful. She didn't know Mu Chen well yet and wasn't ready to reveal her secrets to him. Looking at Mu Chen, she said happily, "Mu Chen, I suddenly find talking with you very pleasant."
"I know, because I'm handsome," Mu Chen chuckled.
"Cut it out, you're at it again," the Little Fairy Doctor laughed, rolling her eyes at Mu Chen.
"Hehe..." Mu Chen laughed along with her.
Mu Chen was self-aware. He wasn't as handsome as Pan An, but his looks were the kind that grew on you. He was just chatting casually with the Little Fairy Doctor.
"Here."
Mu Chen sprinkled some spices on the roasted meat, then tore off a large piece of venison and handed it to the Little Fairy Doctor.
"Thank you."
The Little Fairy Doctor took the venison from Mu Chen's hand, gently parted her red lips, and elegantly bit into it with her small silver teeth. She chewed delicately, every bit the lady.
Mu Chen watched the Little Fairy Doctor. To be honest, he quite liked her as she was now—full of ethereal charm and approachable. It was hard to imagine that in a few years, this young girl would become the Heavenly Poison Woman, feared and ruthless.
Mu Chen tore off another piece of venison and looked at the Little Fairy Doctor's mount, the Blue Hawk. The Blue Hawk, having just been healed by the Little Fairy Doctor, hadn't yet let go of its instinctive wariness of humans. It stood about five or six meters away from Mu Chen and the Little Fairy Doctor.
Mu Chen tossed the meat, saying, "You get some too."
The venison formed a parabola in the air, and before it hit the ground, the Blue Hawk caught it in its beak. The Blue Hawk seemed to understand human language, as it was even less wary of Mu Chen than it was of the Little Fairy Doctor.
Chirp chirp
The Blue Hawk chewed for a moment, its eyes widening in surprise. Having never eaten cooked meat before, it walked over to Mu Chen and called out to him.
Mu Chen smiled, then tore off a large piece of the hind leg and tossed it to the Blue Hawk, letting it eat at its leisure.
Chirp chirp
After finishing the meat, the Blue Hawk continued to call out.
Mu Chen smiled again and tossed another piece of venison to the Blue Hawk. But this time, the Blue Hawk didn't eat it. Instead, it kept calling out to Mu Chen and the Little Fairy Doctor.
"What's wrong with it?" the Little Fairy Doctor asked.
Chirp chirp
The Blue Hawk called out while holding onto Mu Chen's clothes with its beak, as if trying to convey something.
"What's going on with it?" the Little Fairy Doctor asked, puzzled.
"It might have found something," Mu Chen stood up and extended his soul power in the direction the Blue Hawk was indicating. He was startled. "There's a cave over there!"
