Synopsis
In a world where divine power dictates fate, strength alone is not enough to survive. The strong rule, the weak are discarded, and trust is a fool’s gamble. Xenos learned this the hard way. Betrayed by those closest to him, he abandoned all faith in people, choosing to rely only on his intelligence and power. To trust is to be controlled, and Xenos refuses to be anyone’s pawn. Unlike the Diviners—who are born with innate abilities that tie them to the heavens—Xenos views power differently. He does not submit to fate; he bends it to his will. Every alliance he forms is temporary, every step he takes is calculated, and every enemy he makes is just another obstacle to be removed. Yet beneath his cold, ruthless exterior, a question lingers. What is his purpose? What does he truly seek? He moves forward not just to survive, but to find a goal worth chasing in a world that has given him nothing. As gods watch from above and powerful forces conspire in the shadows, Xenos walks a path of his own making—one of manipulation, defiance, and absolute control. But in a world where power is everything, will he ever find the answer he seeks? A tale of betrayal, strategy, and a relentless search for purpose. In a world without trust, can Xenos find something worth believing in?

Chapter 1 - prologue

I was born to beings beyond human limits. Not benevolent, not righteous—just powerful. My mother bends time to her will, while my father walks between dimensions as if they were mere doorways. They stand at the edge of supremacy, always reaching, never satisfied.

And I am their greatest disappointment.

I was meant to be their masterpiece. The perfect fusion of their gifts. An almighty being surpassing all known limits.

But I am nothing.

Seventeen years old, burdened with a weak heart. No inherited abilities. No divine presence. To them, I am not their son. I am a mistake.

At first, they showed me love—perhaps hoping that, with time, something extraordinary would awaken within me. But as the years passed, their patience faded. Love turned to indifference. Indifference turned to disdain. Now, they look at me with nothing but disappointment.

"My greatest failure," my father muttered once, his golden eyes cold as he looked through me rather than at me.

"Don't speak to him like that," my mother had replied, though there was no warmth in her voice. "He is still our child."

A lie. She only defended me because she still clung to the illusion that I might change. But I won't. I can't.

And so, they try again. Over and over.

Another child. A new experiment. A new hope for the power they crave. Each night, I hear them whispering in their chamber, their voices tinged with desperation. They want what I could never be.

I should hate them.

But what I feel isn't hatred. It isn't anger. It isn't sorrow. It is emptiness. A hollow pit inside me, deeper than any dimension my father could step into. I am trapped in this house of titans, a failure among conquerors, waiting for the day they finally decide they no longer need me.

This is my life. My curse.

My name is Xenos.
