Chapter 136 - Chapter 136

The originally ordinary black trench coat had transformed into a plain black high-collared robe, and the most common standard-issue one-handed sword in his hand also twisted and morphed.

In his left hand was a sword of unusually exquisite beauty—almost extravagant for a one-handed weapon. Its blade was thin, though not as slender as a rapier, giving the impression of being crafted from crystal. Upon closer inspection, one's gaze could faintly penetrate the blade itself.

The blade was a dazzling white, while the hilt was a silvery hue tinged with blue.

This sword, which looked more like a work of art, bore a beautiful name.

White Sword: Dark Repulser.

In truth, Dark Repulser functioned more like a secondary weapon. Except for certain specific moments, it was usually sheathed on his back.

The true protagonist was the sword in Bai Luo's right hand.

Like Dark Repulser, this sword also had a white blade, but its body was a deep, all-encompassing black. Its exact material was unclear—it felt icy to the touch, as though it could absorb all heat, and its extreme darkness gave the illusion that even light could be swallowed by it.

Compared to Dark Repulser's sacred and untouchable aura, this sword was more akin to a demonic blade.

Its name was Black Sword: Elucidator.

[Third Class: Black Swordsman successfully activated.]

[Passive skill obtained: Beater.]

[Skill obtained: Sonic Leap.]

[Skill obtained: Sword of Demonic Influence.]

[Skill obtained: Quadruple Pain.]

[Elemental Burst obtained: Starburst Stream.]

Passive Skill: [Beater]

The Black Swordsman excels at concealing his own strength, making it impossible for any unit to detect any of his information.

After leaving an enemy's line of sight, the Black Swordsman gains a 10% increase in movement speed. This effect is disabled for three seconds upon taking damage.

Note: This skill is a special passive and applies to all classes.

Skill: [Sonic Leap]

Launch a powerful assault on a target, knocking back all enemies in the path a short distance. If the knockback collides with an obstacle, it deals additional damage and stuns the target for 1.25 seconds.

Note (1): There is a chance that the skill may cause the user to phase through the target, failing the knockback effect.

Note (2): When using this skill to knock a target into an obstacle, there is a chance the Black Swordsman may phase through the wall.

Both scenarios are normal occurrences. Do not mistake them for bugs.

Skill: [Sword of Demonic Influence]

Deals area-of-effect physical damage to enemies in a forward cone, reducing their movement speed by 30% for one second. Increases all damage dealt by the user by 20% for three seconds.

Skill: [Quadruple Pain]

Fires four sword shadows in four directions. Each shadow deals physical damage to the first target hit and marks them for five seconds. If no target is hit, the shadow leaves behind an afterimage that lasts for three seconds.

Within five seconds, the user can activate the skill again to teleport to the nearest marked target (or a specified one) and deal physical damage once more.

The user can also teleport to an afterimage's location.

Elemental Burst: [Starburst Stream (Non-Exclusive)]

Executes the high-tier dual-wielding sword skill Starburst Stream, transforming into sixteen sword shadows and unleashing a sixteen-hit combo. Each slash deals minor true damage to all units struck and grants the Black Swordsman 50% damage reduction for one second.

During the combo, the Black Swordsman is invincible and untargetable but cannot use active items.

This was Kirito—but not the Kirito from memory. It was still a modified version.

Still, it was amazing. The only shame was that the two swords in his hands were bound weapons, not exclusive ones.

Otherwise... he'd have carved out a heart-shaped sword light for sure.

What really caught Bai Luo's attention, however, wasn't the modified Kirito skills—it was the additional notes on Sonic Leap.

Tsk... Of course, the infamous "Sonic Pass-Through" and "Sonic Wall-Phase" had been flawlessly replicated by the system.

Should he praise the system for its meticulousness? Or should he say it had too much time on its hands?

Of all things to faithfully recreate, why did it have to be these two bugs? And it even anticipated his complaints, preemptively clarifying that they weren't bugs.

"Morax—!"

By the time Bai Luo successfully activated his third class, Beisht had finally regained her senses.

No... "Regained her senses" wasn't quite accurate. It was more like she'd been driven mad by the acidity.

Compared to her earlier resentment and unwillingness, the way she now uttered the Geo Archon's name was filled with utter derangement.

Gripping Elucidator in one hand, Bai Luo didn't immediately attack. Instead, he clung tightly to Beisht's dorsal fin, waiting for the right moment to act.

As for the Sunsettias... they were all gone.

Earlier, to "tend" to Beisht's eyes, he had hand-squeezed every single Sunsettia given to him by Beidou into juice and dripped it directly into her eyes.

Did you think he was the kind of person who'd only drip Sunsettia juice into one of her heads?

Of course not.

He hadn't just done it to one head—if he'd had enough Sunsettias, he'd have done it to all four, and even tossed a few into her mouth for good measure.

When it came to things that brought him joy, he either didn't do them at all—or he went all out.

"MORAX—!!"

The deep blue elemental patterns on Beisht's body began to faintly shift toward a reddish hue.

The black clouds in the sky pressed lower and lower, lightning flickering within the thunderheads, making Bai Luo's skin prickle with static.

BOOM—

A waterspout, reeking of fish, surged once more—but this time, it didn't churn the surrounding sea. Instead, it coiled around Beisht herself.

Her thick, rugged hide meant she barely felt the waterspout's damage—at most, it was a slight sting.

But in her frenzied state, she no longer cared about the pain.

All she wanted was to utterly annihilate this person connected to Morax.

The moment the sea began to form a whirlpool, Bai Luo knew things were about to get ugly.

SWOOSH—

With a light swipe of Elucidator's blade with his left hand, four sword shadows shot out.

Three struck Beisht's other three heads, while the fourth was deliberately aimed at a safe spot.

"ROAR—!"

The sword shadows didn't deal much damage—far less than the waterspout she had summoned herself.

But Beisht, now wary of Bai Luo's endless array of strange tricks, immediately grew cautious.

HUM—

The moment all three heads were struck by the sword shadows, Bai Luo released his grip on her dorsal fin.

But instead of falling into the sea, he vanished mid-air in an instant.

When he reappeared, he was already atop one of Beisht's other heads.

"Sword of Demonic Influence!"

A brilliant blue sword light plunged deep into Beisht's body, making her shriek in agony.

Another head swung violently toward him, trying to knock him off.

HUM—

But before it could connect, Bai Luo teleported onto the attacking head itself. This time, he didn't use a skill—just a simple slash.

Yet, empowered by Sword of Demonic Influence, the strike pierced her outer hide, drawing forth a spray of elemental-infused fluid.

Having landed the hit, Bai Luo didn't linger. He blinked to the last marked head.

"Sonic Leap!"

A pale blue light enveloped Elucidator as Bai Luo thrust forward—so fast that the blade produced a sonic boom.

Compared to Beisht, Bai Luo was like an insect.

Even after she adjusted her size, he was still just a slightly larger bug to her.

But this "bug" had just shaken her mountainous body.

With a pained cry, Beisht crashed heavily into the water.

Meanwhile, Bai Luo willed himself to the last sword shadow he had intentionally aimed away.

The moment his feet touched the water's surface, he assumed his stance.

"Dual Wielding—"
