"He just said he had something to do, and it was to pick up this woman?!"
This woman dressed plainly, her face hidden underneath a cap, with fair skin. She wore a black T-shirt and ultra-short shorts. So slender, with hardly any figure to speak of. How could she deserve Xiao Chen to speak to her with such tenderness?
"It's fine, I'm not getting sunburnt," Yun Yue said indifferently, standing in a spot without sunlight.
Xiao Chen touched her hand, which felt pleasantly cool, and he held onto it, not wanting to let go, as if it were an ice pack.
Yun Yue lowered her gaze to his hand, her eyebrows raised slightly, allowing him to lead her along.
Xiao Chen carefully opened the car door for her then gently closed it.
Mo Lingwei went from astonishment to jealous rage, her eyes reddening as she pinched the flesh of her palm until it bled, all without feeling the pain, clenching her teeth tightly.
She watched the car vanish from her sight.
