Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: Teleportation

*

In the evening I returned home.

"Ha-ah... Peace at last.

Not that it was a difficult day, but rather after these exams, I had to stay for a long time and waste my time. They didn't let us go until everyone had finished their battles.

Overall, I wasn't particularly surprised by the results of the battles. Everything went according to the expected scenario. My brother's battle went quite well. Midoriya performed well and pulled Katsuki out, though they almost got into a fight in the process.

They were both about the same height as their faces, especially my brother. He's been training almost as hard as I have lately. I don't even know how much stronger he is than the current self from the original story...

Okay, let's get back to business at hand...

It's time to spend points and buy another quirk. I've been waiting for this moment for quite some time, and as for the choice, everything has already been decided...

Teleportation.

I know that with my 170k, I could even count on Erasing Quirks, which would be a great choice, but I still wanted to invest in a trump card to move. Then maybe I'll choose Quirk Erasure or Super-regeneration. We'll see...

And so, Teleportation...

As for me — the best quirk for escaping and fighting. Of course, I initially had my doubts, given the existence of Warp Gates, and their advantages in controlling the black fog that could cover huge objects and entire crowds of people. And in battle, it could be quite useful, as a distraction, and then opening a portal behind the enemy's back and stabbing them in the back. Well, disguise, of course.

However... Kurogiri's quirk had one fatal weakness — speed. Even if you ignore my ignorance about whether I can handle this fog as well, speed is something that obviously can't be fixed. This disadvantage was not covered by the advantages, because I did not intend to move the army, and I had my own ideas about disguise. Corny could wear a mask. Not the best option, but is that a problem? With teleportation and sensorics, there's no real need to worry too much about your life. In fact, with just teleportation, I could no longer hide my true strength.

If the Almighty falls, there won't be many threats left, and I'll take care of them in time. About Aizawa definitely worth it. Its existence is undesirable. At least you can take his eyes off.

Teleportation is an instant-type quirk. One thought and I'm already behind the enemy. One wish and I'm already in another city. Obviously, fighting and chasing someone with such a quirk was extremely difficult. Even the Almighty couldn't catch me if he wanted to.

I could also move people with me if they touched me. There was no coordinate teleportation like in the Warp Gate, but I could get somewhere in sight. Plus, I can move to places I've already visited before. So the distance is also not a problem.

Anyway, I picked up the reward for a recent task, and then I felt a strange surge of energy...

Wow... The will was greatly strengthened. Of course, I'm still a long way from being a Hero Slayer, but I definitely feel that I could try to influence the ordinary students of the academy.

Next, I immediately bought Teleportation and focused...

Then a red haze entered my body and my status immediately changed:

Name: Koji Bakugou

Age: 16 years old.

Rank: UA Academy Student

— [Strength: 108] — [Stamina: 87] — [Speed: 34] - [Stamina: 61] - [Talent: 130] —

Genetic improvements:

- DNA EXTENSION → x4

- Strength Improvement → x6

- Improved Stamina → x3

- Improved durability → x2

Not bad... Here's another quirk. Only six of them, but what kind. Just a little more and I'll be invincible.

Well, it's probably worth testing the power of teleportation in action?

After a moment's thought, I remembered the exact location, and then suddenly the world blurred before my eyes...

But as soon as I moved...

"Bha-a.".. — I threw up right away!"

Damn it! What the?!

The dizziness was so intense that I felt like I'd been accelerated to the speed of light and hit several times in the stomach. I felt as if the whole body had been torn apart and then put back together.

"Bh-ah...

Disgusting condition...

"Ha-ah... Ha-ah...

I got up slowly, still staggering. After about ten seconds, the condition returned to normal.

It's a good thing I didn't have dinner...

Moving around affected me so much that even my sensors couldn't help but shut down.

Raising my hand, I summoned the sparks of the Blast Wave, then slowly exhaled and gathered my strength.

Unpleasant... The recoil is too strong. I didn't know about this weakness of the quirk. No matter how strong and well-trained I was, it was very hard. I felt like I was being chewed up by space and then spat out.

I guess you need some practice... Lots of practice.

However, I won't say that I was disappointed, but rather the opposite. Not everything is so simple? If I immediately learned how to move across continents with my mind, then what's the point of developing quirks?

Every quirk had its drawbacks, and I guess this is it... After all, Warp Gates created portals, not teleported the user. These are completely different things.

But, it really happened in less than a second.

The question is, is it the distance? Or does it not matter?

I moved to the familiar forest where I used to train. It's about ten kilometers from my house. The radius is impressive.

I was also glad that my" past memories " of places worked even after getting the quirk. It would be annoying if I had to re - "memorize" the necessary points for teleportation. Unlike the Warp Gate, I couldn't expect to travel to an unknown location. A perfect picture was required. On the one hand, this is a minus, but I was ready to accept it.

Okay.

What if...

I immediately focused on a place nearby, and then the space around me seemed to collapse, and I immediately found myself a hundred meters away from my previous location.

"Ahem.".. I held back the sudden increase in nausea, and was relieved to draw conclusions.

The distance decides... It even seemed to me that the speed of movement was even faster than before.

Also...

Raising my hand, I summoned sparks.

It didn't block quirks. Initially, when I first moved out of the house, I felt like I lost touch with them, just like I did after Aizawa was erased. For a moment, though, it made me a little nervous. If this continued after every move, it would seriously damage my combat capability.

Now it's clear... From the distance, the speed is slightly reduced, and the load increases many times. In principle, it is logical. At least I didn't think to move to another part of the country. In that case, something irreparable could have happened.

Well, I guess we should start training right now.

You need to learn how to teleport quickly and clearly. Moving a hundred meters, even if only slightly, confused my consciousness, and this is a problem. In battle, it can be worth a lot.

And the most important thing is the frequency of movement. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to make a dozen quick jumps and keep the contents of my stomach to myself. In combat, constant "jumping" is mandatory.

Okay, I'm sure all of this is fixable...

And so, training.
