"Why is there a 50,000 year beast king here?"
A young blond haired girl exclaimed as a hint of surprise appeared on her delicate face. If only her strength were higher she'd be able to escape or even fight it.
But unfortunately she was only a spirit king with no power to take on or even escape the beast.
The beast had long locked target onto the girl, so beautiful, so delicious.
An angel on earth, perhaps it would taste like heavenly chicken.
At least thats what the beast thought.
The girl continued to run with only one thought in her head, "Escape". Only by escaping woudl she have a chance. She lamented at her own decision to sneak out.
Just as the girl experienced the hope of survival, a figure came into view and accidentally knocked her over. The time lost there drowned her hopes.
The tall figure had glossy long purple hair with bangs covering an eye, a black dress shirt and pants and a stunning long white and purple coat with embroidered flames. The coat itself had a three splits to allow for mobility.
What caught her eye was the long sheathed blade in his hands. The sheath had a similar design to his coat.
However that all fell short when she realised he had no martial spirit. She felt partially responsible for leading the beast this way. She could only get up and warn him.
"Run there's a 50,000 year old beast coming."
He turned around as she felt stunned for a moment. His face was impeccable, it wasn't the type of charismatic charming but more of a docile cute face? His unique diamond shaped pupils had a charm to them that almost felt like a puppy with his confused face.
The man thought to himself "Long blond hair, beasts, six-winged angel spirit..."
"I've travelled to the Douluo Continent?" The young man thought. He had heard of this manga? Comic? Donghua?
He didn't look much into it assuming it was the same recycled plot over and over again. Too many years of "Young master this, young master that. I kill your whole bloodline. Courting death." Had killed his interest in anything similar.
However he knew enough to finally realise where he was.
Thinking of this he remembered that it had been a long time since he had reincarnated as Acheron. Although luckily he kept his little brother. Although he became a top tier fighter, it cost him his taste buds.
Hence he developed the same love for peaches as the other Acheron had. However, he had another pressing issue.
He had also inherited the ability to get lost.
"Hello, miss. Could you tell me where I am?"
The young girl's face grew ashen as she pitied the young man in front of her. This fool walked into one of the most dangerous forests and he didn't even know where he was?
Was his luck that bad or was it his sense of direction?
She grabbed him and tried to move only to realise he was stuck there. "Miss?" His head tilted looking confused as she inwardly thought this was too much for the heart.
"There is a beast, run."
Soon the 50,000 year beast caught up as the girl could only hope that her caretakers would have found her in time.
The man in front of her stared at the best before replying, "Oh."
She blinked and the man in front of her disappeared only to realise that the beast had been split in half. The sword was still sheathed.
Qian Renxue was confused. He clearly had no martial spirit, no soul power. Yet he had effortlessly split a 50,000 year old beast with his sword still sheathed.
This was definitely a powerhouse. The speed at which he moved had also shocked the secret onlooker who had just arrived.
Qian Renxue could only watch as the man prodded the dead beast with a stick in silence. He stood up before looking at her again.
"Miss, I'm lost. Could you perhaps direct me to the exit?" The man continued asking. Qian Renxue could only ponder in silence. Perhaps this was the world balancing his power out? Birthing him with the worst sense of direction ever known to existence.
She stuttered a bit before nodding, "Thank you for saving me. No problem I'm headed towards the exit. I'll lead you out."
He nodded before walking beside her. Qian Renxue thought for a bit before offering, "I have yet to offer proper gratitude for saving me. How about a meal sir?"
The young man replied "Acheron, simply call me Acheron for now." Qian Renxue knew that the man did not give his real name. Yet it seemed normal for him as if he hardly ever used his real name.
"Your name miss?" Acheron asked.
"Qian Renxue." She replied, before realising that Acheron had been leading the way and they had been walking for a while.
"Huh?" She realised that they had somehow ended up exactly where they started with the beast corpse still there.
She clearly watched him take the same direction she was pointing at yet they somehow ended here?
No formations were set up nor detected. So how? Her confusion was amplified as she stared at Acheron with incredulity.
"Do you perhaps have a very bad sense of direction?" She asked.
Acheron scratched his head, "Yes, it's never bothered me since I've been a wondering ranger for a while."
Qian Renxue sighed before grabbing his hand and walking him to the exit like a toddler.
At this point she wouldn't be surprised if he somehow ended up in a different realm all-together.
