Angel woke up to the sound of someone crying beside her.
Her heart jumped to her mouth, and she sprang up.
Turning around swiftly in search of her baby, she paused when she saw Ruby holding on to her, whilst crying.
"I can't believe you didn't call me," she said, as she lifted her head to look at Angel.
"Oh Rubs," Angel breathed out, as her thumping heart began to relax into normal. "You were having so much fun, and it was so sudden. I didn't want to cut your night short."
"Don't say that! I would have left whatever I was doing to be there for your birth. You know that. We're family. How could you not let me know?" She continued to cry.
"I'm sorry, okay? I promise I still don't even know how I got to the room I delivered. Or how it was already prepared for delivery. Everything except birthing my daughter has been so confusing to me. And everyone keeps saying I shouldn't ask questions."
