In the evening, Angel walked into the room she shared with her daughter.
Ivar, and the princess had brought her to the room, and left her to herself, per her request.
She walked to Isabella's crib, sat on the floor, and rested her head on it.
Isabella's scent filled her nostrils, and she closed her eyes.
"Hey baby, it's mummy. Wherever you are, I hope you're good? I hope Francesca is treating you well? You're a beautiful baby, and deserve every good thi—" she choked up, and paused briefly.
Fighting off the tears, she waited for her breathing to return to normal, before she continued.
"Your father made a great point earlier. Maybe it's because of my guilt I'm trying so hard to get you back. If I didn't leave the security of this place, you would never have been taken from me. For that, I'm really sorry. I'm really really sorry, my beauty." She paused again, and just inhaled her scent.
