Thump Thump Thump
Julian's heart pounded as he stared down the large man before him.
Truthfully, slamming through several feet of asphalt and concrete hurt more than Julian cared to admit. It was a dull aching, really, but he underestimated both the depth of the floor and the hardness of the reinforced concrete.
The aching -while admittedly very dull- unnerved Julian about his durability, but he didn't let that show as he quickly analyzed his situation.
There were maybe two dozen thugs in the room he was in, armed with an assortment of pistols, bats, crude clubs, two sawed-off shotguns, and a single rifle amongst the whole group.
Julian's silent analysis was interrupted as the man in front of him took a step forward.
"You must be pretty strong" the man said, a sharkish grin on his face as he took another step forward, breaking into a run.
"Sorry Kirishima, I know this was supposed to be your moment" Julian muttered to himself as he watched the metal wrapped hand of Kendo Rappa shoot towards him like a bullet.
CRACK
Time seemed to freeze as Julian's fist met Rappa's when he pivoted forward, his small fist easily pushing back Kendo's large hand and cracking the metal plating on his hand wraps. The moment lasted for less than a second as another fist flew to hit him.
This time Julian dodged the strike, sending it off course with a light slap. A sickening crunch sounded out as Julian buried a left hook into the villain's side sending him flying. Julian cringed as the large man flew off his feet and smacked against the wall.
Julian ignored the surprised and panicked looks on the faces of an assortment of thugs as he turned to look at the various people restrained to medical beds behind him. Most were adults, though some elderly, teenagers and even a few children were among them, all but a few in terrible condition. Likely for a more diverse sample population, Julian's mind unhelpfully supplied. Julian scanned the faces of the children, spotting a young girl with black hair that had tears running down her face.
She's probably the one I heard. Julian thought as he rushed to the room. Eri's not here he realized as he once more scanned the faces of everyone in the room, noting none of them had a horn, though one man did have a pair of horns, but his face looked more like a cross between a person's and a bull's. Dammit. Julian cursed.
He took a step forward and then paused as he thought about what to do, he couldn't rescue the Eri like he hoped, but he could help these people. But how? Taking out an IV without knowing how was pretty dangerous and though he knew theoretically it had been months not to mention it was a different country in a different universe, who knew if IVs where the same. Not to mention the possibility of harm that comes from removing something that could be keeping them alive. The bags filled with a bright blue and bright red liquid didn't look like anything good, and going off what he knew about the Chi Hisaaki these were likely human test subjects for the quirk-erasing drug.
Julian thought back to the show, he was pretty sure that one color was the quirk-erasing drug and the other was the quirk-enhancing drug. But which was which? Julian racked his mind trying to remember. Only vague memories came back, he was pretty sure one of the heroes lost their quirk at the climax of the battle against Overhaul but he couldn't remember which one, much less the color of the bullet he got shot with.
The sharp whistling of something flying through the air broke Julian from his contemplation. Startled he turned around only to be met with a face full of metal.
Julian blinked as the punch landed, a dull ache spreading from his nose as the strike landed, more akin to being lightly tapped by a toddler than being hit with a quirk-enhanced metal-covered fist.
"Motherfucker!" Julian swore as another vicious punch he wasn't paying attention to smacked him in the temple, momentarily throwing him off balance.
"YOU DARE TURN YOUR BACK ON ME" Kendo Rappa screamed with fury as an otherworldly strength filled his arms, causing them to glow for a brief second, though none in the room noticed it.
Julian struggled to get his hands up as a dozen strikes landed in a split second.
FUCK FUCK FUCK! Julian shouted internally as the blows suddenly hit quicker and harder than they had been a moment ago.
Blood flowed from his nose as Rappa rained down more punches. Julian's vision started becoming blurry and his head felt sick as he sluggishly blocked and dodged the rapid onslaught.
A particularly vicious strike caught Julian's jaw, slamming his face through the concrete wall and into an adjacent room.
Julian quickly flew back as Kendo Rappa stepped into the room enraged at being ignored by his adversary.
Their fight hadn't even started and yet this-this child had left KENDO FUCKING RAPPA sitting on the floor, ignored. Kendo's heavy breathing turned into a savage growl as he replayed it over in his mind. He could accept being weaker, that much he wasn't sore about. But to just be ignored before he even had the chance to go all out stirred something in him. His blood boiled as he thought about it more, no respect for the fight. The boy hadn't bothered to check if he was even done fighting, the arrogance to turn his back on KENDO RAPPA filled the master martial artist with a rage he had never known.

Fear
It was an emotion Julian had almost forgotten. He had spent his whole life afraid, how could he forget this feeling. Tears filled his eyes as he looked up at the monster of a man standing over him, hands dripping with blood.
His blood.
That shouldn't be possible.
He should be invincible.
He touched his face.
It hurt.
Nothing was supposed to be able to hurt him now. He had those powers, from that weird space angel.
Yet here he was again, cowering on the floor as he braced his arms for the impact of seemingly endless punches.
His body moved on instinct, flying back against the wall to break away from the punches as he yelped in fear.
"I'm sorry. I-I'm so sorry." Julian cried as he looked up, and instead of the masked face of a villain he stared into his father's crimson eyes.
"Please!" he begged as the punches landed on him "NOO!" he shrieked as he heard his father's demanding voice, admonishing him for one thing or another.
Desperately he tried blocking, he stopped a punch only to be hit in a place he wasn't blocking.
He tried maneuvering away, only to find himself pushed against the wall.
Again and again, he tried to get away, to block, to doge, to redirect the punches.
Each attempt was foiled by the master of the ring, who controlled the movement and foiled his pitiful attempts at defense.
Despair overwhelmed Julian's young mind- any thoughts of fighting back far from his mind.
