After that, all four went inside the forest. One member acted as a guard in front, and another at the rear. Naruto and Sakura were in the middle, with Sakura holding the scroll.
As they took a few steps, a group of five members ambushed them from the front, all holding kunai, while their leader wielded a large sword. Meanwhile, a sixth person sneaked behind Naruto's team, preparing to attack with needles.
Naruto sensed him and recognized that stealth fighters should be eliminated first since they posed the biggest threat. The rest could be handled more easily. Without hesitation, Naruto immediately moved in the opposite direction from where the five were positioned.
Sakura was confused. "What happened? Naruto is not a coward who would run from a fight like that."
The two teammates in front took defensive positions to protect Sakura. Realizing his hiding spot was discovered, the sixth member launched a volley of poisoned needles at Naruto.
Naruto swung his sword, unleashing sword qi that deflected all the needles. A red arc of sword qi curved through the air toward the attacker, forcing him to leap to another spot. Everyone watching was shocked. Until now, they had only seen normal sword swings used to defend against kunai or shuriken and attacks executed only in close combat. Only samurai were known to use sword chakra.
As the sixth member dodged, Naruto took advantage of the opening and charged at him with incredible speed. Normally, when he moved at such speeds, his blue veins would pop, like when he had launched at Zabuza. But now, thanks to three days of isolation and blood purification, the veins subsided, and his speed had increased significantly.
While closing the distance, Naruto pondered: "Should I keep him alive to make my work easier? He could poison others, which would be useful... But he uses poison. If he somehow poisons me, I can't detoxify it quickly. It would take time to use my qi to expel it, and during that time, my fights would become sluggish. With six enemies, plus the two from earlier who might join them, and Sakura unable to help much, it's too risky. Killing him is the best option."
Making his decision, Naruto covered his body completely with qi. To others, it appeared as though he was cloaking himself in chakra. He swung his sword at the sixth member in a smooth, flowing motion, like fabric in the wind.
Blood splattered as Naruto cut the enemy into several pieces, slicing him apart like a butcher cutting beef. Blood dripped from the dismembered body, shocking everyone, especially the opposing team leader. They had always used poison to weaken enemies before attacking, but Naruto's sheer brutality left them trembling.
The opponent team had only been able to take other scrolls thanks to the sixth member's poison. But now that he was dead, the situation was reversed. The leader knew he was no match for Naruto.
Defeated, the opponent team surrendered, handing over another two Heaven scrolls to Naruto.
Naruto, slightly irritated, said, "What? Another two Heaven scrolls?"
Now, Sakura held three Heaven scrolls.
The remaining three enemy members, having no scrolls and fearing for their lives, chose to join Naruto's faction, agreeing to follow him.
As they moved, Naruto said, "If you are obedient and loyal, I may give you a chance to pass."
All, except Sakura, immediately responded, "Thank you, sir."
Sakura marveled at Naruto. "He didn't make them obedient through justice or fairness. There are so many disadvantages for them in following him, yet they are willing to obey his every command. He's ruling them single-handedly with power and fear." This was the first time she had seen anything like this. She felt like a queen walking beside a king, with soldiers guarding them.
She chuckled slightly at the thought.
Naruto noticed and raised an eyebrow, silently asking if something was wrong.
Sakura met his gaze and replied, "Everything is fine, Master."
Naruto didn't think much of it and continued walking.
He and Sakura remained in the middle, flanked by two girls behind them and another girl in front. The entire group of seven moved at the same pace, circling them protectively.
Meanwhile, Hinata, Kiba, and Shino's team had barely escaped pursuit from another group of enemies. Having already secured both a Heaven and an Earth scroll, they were now hiding to conserve their energy and chakra.
As they rested, they spotted Naruto's group.
All three misjudged the situation, assuming Naruto and Sakura had been captured by enemy teams.
Kiba was about to laugh but stopped when he saw his fellow student and Sakura seemingly in captivity.
Hinata instinctively wanted to rush in to help Naruto, but Shino stopped her. "Wait. Let's observe first."
Shino had noticed that Naruto and Sakura's expressions did not match those of captives. He advised his team to remain hidden and watch.
As Naruto's team moved forward, the bushes ahead rustled, and two men with terrifying faces ran straight toward them.
