When Evan graduated, he didn't pay to collect the eggs. Everyone in the class knew about this.

Later, Evan told Professor Ethan that he no longer wanted to be a trainer. Instead, he had decided to become a breeder. Colton had mentioned this in the group before.

What can I say? This guy Evan has opened an awesome breeding house.

He also knew about this Charmander egg that had been soaked in water but was perfectly normal. I was there when the eggs were distributed. After everyone finished choosing, no one wanted this particular egg. As a result, Professor Ethan took it and gave it to Evan.

But now you're telling me this egg is actually a Shiny Pokémon? Although the color of its body isn't different from a regular Charizard's, the golden pupils give it a majestic appearance. There's no doubt this is a genetic mutation. Even a slight mutation makes it a Shiny Pokémon.

In other words, Evan got a Shiny Pokémon for free. And it's one that no one else wanted. Evan received it without spending a single Pokédollar.

Freya was furious. She was envious to her core.

Noticing Freya's jealous and envious glare, Evan felt a sense of pride.

"Frooo!" Froslass turned her head and looked at her master as if to say, "What are you doing?"

Evan couldn't help but smile and said, "I just got lucky. Okay, let's battle first. We'll talk about envy later."

When Freya heard this, she rolled her eyes. "Hmph! Your Charizard may be Shiny, but my Froslass is stronger!" Freya was confident in her Froslass because it had recently reached the quasi-Elite level. In contrast, Evan's Charizard was still at the Peak level. She thought the level difference would guarantee her victory.

Evan chuckled at her words. Raising his hand, his eyes glowed blue. "Mega Evolution."

If his Charizard wasn't strong enough, Mega Evolution would bridge the gap. As long as the opponent wasn't an Elite Pokémon, his Charizard could hold its own.

Freya was stunned at Evan's words, but she quickly realized what was happening. She watched in awe as the colorful light erupted from Evan's Mega Stone and synchronized with the light emanating from Charizard's arm. Charizard evolved mid-battle into Charizard X.

Freya's eyes widened in disbelief. "No way!" she exclaimed.

She felt utterly betrayed by fate. "You said you didn't have money! Yet you have a Mega Stone? Did you just pick it up off the ground?"

Freya couldn't help but feel like she had been tricked.

"Surprised?" Evan asked with a brilliant smile. "Do you think I'm strong enough now?"

Freya took a deep breath, her gaze fixed on the newly evolved Charizard X. She realized she had underestimated Evan.

"The battle starts now," she declared. "Froslass, use Hail!"

Wasting no time, Freya launched an attack. She knew Evan was still the same opponent she had faced before. She might lose, but she wouldn't give up.

As Evan's classmate, Freya was all too familiar with how terrifying Evan could be in a battle.

Sure enough, even after leaving school, Evan remained strong.

Gold will always shine.

"Frrooo!" Froslass cried out as she began to attack. Dark clouds started gathering in the sky, resembling an impending storm. But it wasn't rain or hail—it was snow. Snow began to fall heavily on the battlefield.

Icirrus watched the dark clouds with awe, sensing the shift in weather conditions.

Evan quickly gave Charizard X an order. "Dragon Claw!"

The weather? And now this?

Freya clearly had a plan. Using her creativity, she had combined Hail and Blizzard to create a snowy sky—a brilliant strategy to enhance the battlefield. While the game mechanics might be limiting, reality was different. Pokémon could pull off combined techniques if they had enough understanding and synergy with their trainer.

Like Freya was doing now, she used Hail and Blizzard to create a relentless snowfall. This strategy amplified the power of her Pokémon's Ice-type moves. However, Evan didn't need such tactics.

Evan's approach was straightforward—just charge in.

"Rooaaarrr!" Charizard let out a mighty roar as sharp, cyan-colored energy began to gather around his claws. With a sudden burst of speed, Charizard charged at Froslass, delivering a powerful Dragon Claw.

But Froslass's body vanished instantly, disappearing into the snowy surroundings as if it had become part of the blizzard. The falling snow thickened, and Froslass was completely invisible.

"Snow Cloak Ability," Freya smirked.

Evan remained calm. "Charizard, Flamethrower to the right!"

Invisible or not, Evan's Psychic abilities made Freya's strategy useless. His heightened awareness of the battlefield allowed him to predict movements effortlessly.

"Roaaarrr!" Charizard unleashed a blue beam of flames without hesitation, aiming precisely to his right.

Freya's expression faltered. "Froslass, Light Screen!"

Sure enough, Evan was proving to be an unstoppable opponent.

Her usual tricks were ineffective. Evan's unique psychic talents made it seem like he was always one step ahead. Strategies like shadow clones or illusions? Evan wouldn't hesitate to have his Pokémon rip through them.

This was Evan—unpredictable, powerful, and always ready to overwhelm.

There were moments when even experienced trainers couldn't keep up with the intensity of Pokémon battles. Yet, Evan could issue commands to his Pokémon with precision and clarity, leaving no room for misunderstanding.

What frustrated Freya the most, however, was Evan's natural affinity for Pokémon. For many Pokémon, all it took was a wave of his hand, and they would rush to him like fans drawn to a superstar—especially Psychic-type Pokémon.

Back in college, Evan was practically an idol among Psychic Pokémon. During practical combat classes, Psychic-types would eagerly gather around him, hoping to be chosen for battle.

For Freya, dealing with a Psychic like Evan was exasperating.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Freya refocused on the battle. Charizard's Flamethrower had been intercepted by the Light Screen in front of Froslass, but Freya was already planning her counterattack.

"Froslass, Shadow Ball!"

Froslass swiftly obeyed, summoning a cluster of dark, swirling energy. With a wave of her hand, the Shadow Ball hurtled toward Charizard.

"Fire Blast!" Evan countered without hesitation.

Charizard barely paused after finishing Flamethrower. Opening his jaws, he unleashed a massive flame that formed a blazing character in midair before colliding with the Shadow Ball.

Boom!

The impact created a deafening explosion, sending shockwaves across the battlefield and enveloping the arena in thick smoke.

But neither Evan nor Freya wasted a moment. Their commands rang out simultaneously.

"Charizard, Dragon Pulse!"

"Froslass, Confuse Ray!"

Before the smoke cleared, the two Pokémon unleashed their respective moves. Charizard's pulsating beam of energy tore through the haze, while Froslass's hypnotic light spiraled forward. The two attacks collided in the center of the battlefield, sending sparks flying in every direction.

The battle was far from over, and the intensity only continued to rise.
