Chapter 318 - It Was You Who Saved Me

After school in the afternoon, Yuujin, Gokumi, and Broly were preparing to go home when they were stopped by Videl in the hallway.

"Videl, didn't you have work today? I thought you would've left already," Yuujin said with a smile as he looked at Videl standing in front of them.

"Sirus, I wanted to ask you about what happened during gym class earlier," Videl said, her expression serious as she stared directly at Yuujin and Gokumi.

"You're talking about Kakarot, right? We already explained it before—Kakarot just has a lot of strength," Yuujin replied casually.

"Don't joke around! That level of destructive power can't just be explained by being a little strong!" Videl exclaimed, clearly agitated.

"Alright, Videl, what exactly do you want to know?" Yuujin shrugged, realizing he couldn't brush her off like he could with others, and decided to be straightforward.

"Sirus, Kakarot, Broly—you're all martial artists, aren't you?" Videl asked, her gaze fixed on them.

"You already knew that, didn't you? Yes, we're all martial artists," Yuujin admitted, no longer denying it.

"I knew it!" Videl clenched her fist, her face filled with excitement.

Ever since Yuujin and the others transferred to the school, Videl had suspected they weren't ordinary people. What happened during gym class had completely confirmed her suspicions.

"Hey, Sirus, you've all been suppressing your energy, right? Only martial artists who have mastered their ki and have profound cultivation can do that," Videl said, her eyes shining with curiosity.

"You must all be incredibly powerful martial artists, right? Can you let me feel your energy? Please!" Videl begged, her face full of anticipation.

"Yuujin, Yuujin, should we agree to her request?" Gokumi whispered into Yuujin's ear.

"Since Videl is asking so earnestly, let's give her a taste," Yuujin said with a light laugh. "But just release a tiny bit of energy—we don't want to scare her."

"Okay!" Gokumi nodded, and the three of them simultaneously released a faint trace of their energy.

"This… this is…" Videl's face turned pale as she felt an overwhelming pressure crash over her, forcing her to take several steps back.

She had guessed that Yuujin and the others might be strong, but she never imagined they would be this powerful! Their energy was terrifying—even the so-called martial arts masters would be nothing compared to them!

"W-who are you really, Sirus?" Videl asked, her voice trembling as she struggled to calm herself.

"That's not important, is it? Right now, we're just students here, and we're also your friends," Yuujin replied with a gentle smile.

"It was you who saved me that time, wasn't it, Sirus? I'd never forget that energy," Videl said.

"That's right," Yuujin admitted without hesitation.

"Then why didn't you tell me?" Videl asked.

"We just happened to be on our way to school that day and couldn't bear to see a kind and beautiful girl like you get hurt by those thugs," Yuujin explained. "I didn't want you to feel indebted to me just because I saved you. I think the friendship we have now is much better, don't you agree?"

Videl's expression grew more complicated as Yuujin spoke.

"I understand that you might not care about my gratitude, but the fact remains that you saved me," Videl said. "Sirus, thank you."

Biting her lip, Videl bowed deeply.

She wasn't the kind of girl who didn't know how to be grateful. Even if others didn't care about her gratitude, she couldn't ignore it. If Yuujin hadn't intervened that day, she might have died.

"Alright, I've received your thanks," Yuujin said, helping Videl up. "Now that you know what you wanted to know, are you satisfied, Videl?"

Blushing, Videl hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "There's… one more thing I'd like to ask of you, Sirus."

"Go ahead, I'm listening," Yuujin said.

"I want you to train me. I want to become stronger!" Videl declared, her expression resolute.

Hearing Videl's request, Yuujin couldn't help but chuckle. "Videl, you're already quite strong. Why are you so eager for more power?"

"It's not enough. My current strength is far from enough. I need to become even stronger!" Videl insisted.

"I heard from Elisa that you want to become a Red Silk Girl who serves the God of Earth. Is that true?" Yuujin asked.

"Yes, it's true," Videl replied. "I'm Mr. Satan's daughter. Ever since I was a child, people have mocked and bullied me. My father spends all his time drinking and is practically useless. My life has been a mess."

"That's why I must become a Red Silk Girl. I have to change all of this!" Videl's eyes welled up with tears, but her expression remained determined as she bowed deeply once more, pleading with Yuujin.

Even though her father had fought against Cell, while other martial artists were hailed as heroes, her father was ridiculed as the arrogant Satan. Even though she had never done anything wrong, she was constantly mocked and ostracized, treated unfairly.

She couldn't accept it. She refused to accept it!

That's why she had to become a Red Silk Girl. She wanted to show everyone who had ever mocked or bullied her and her father!

"Yuujin…" Even Gokumi was moved by Videl's determination and tugged on Yuujin's sleeve, as if urging him to help her.

Signaling Gokumi not to worry, Yuujin spoke up. "Videl, I can help you, but I have one condition."

"Name it. I'll do anything I can!" Videl said immediately.

She had already prepared herself to pay some price in exchange for Yuujin's guidance.

"It's nothing too serious. I just want you to do my homework for me from now on," Yuujin said with a grin.

"Do your homework?" Videl was visibly stunned.

"Yeah, all these daily assignments are such a pain. You're pretty good at schoolwork, right? It'd be great if you could handle my homework for me," Yuujin said casually.

"Sirus, you're a student here too, aren't you? Not only do you skip classes, but now you want me to do your homework? Is that really okay?" Videl asked, a little exasperated.

"No problem at all. Like I said before, we're just here to experience school life. We're not aiming to become top students or anything," Yuujin replied. "If you help me with my homework, I'll train you. Deal?"

What could Videl say to that? If anything, she was getting the better end of the bargain. After thinking for a moment, she made her decision.

"Alright, it's a deal!"
