Raelynn stirred in her sleep, waking from a deep, dreamless sleep A soft groan escaped her lips as her eyelids fluttered open. She blinked a few times, taking in her surroundings in the luxurious room.
"Oh… right," she mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper. She sat up and rubbed the back of her neck, her fingers brushed the soft pillow. "This isn't my apartment."
For a moment, she remained still, her mind catching up with reality. Elion's mansion. Her new home—for now, at least. She glanced around again, taking in the unfamiliar elegance of the room. Everything felt surreal, like she was still caught in some crazy dream. But then her stomach gave a soft growl, reminding her of the lavish dinner from the night before. Nope, this wasn't a dream. Her stomach was proof.
Then another realization struck her. She distinctly remembered falling asleep on the couch in the living room last night. Yet here she was, tucked neatly into the massive bed in her room.
