The sun cast long shadows across Viper Manor's courtyard as Bai Li and Bai Lei prepared to depart.
"Show that Silver Talon what real power looks like." Bai Lei clapped Li Shen's shoulder. His eyes darted to the gathered vassals. "And if you need backup..."
"Brother!" Bai Li jabbed his ribs with her elbow. "Li Shen doesn't need our help." She turned to Li Shen, her cheeks flushed. "But we will be watching your match with great interest."
After the siblings departed, everyone resumed their training. The sound of clashing weapons and techniques filled the courtyard. Li Shen sat beneath a cypress tree, lost in thought as he watched his vassals practice.
Everything had changed from his past life. The White Crane Sect's destruction was not supposed to happen the way it had unfolded.
