"Welcome, I am the leader of the Security Force Police. You can call me 'The Justifier.'"
The man clad in a massive mech sat in his chair, looking at Zuke and Lyna, who was clinging tightly to Zuke, speaking in a tone that was surprisingly gentle given his imposing appearance.
"Since you're already here, there's no need to worry about us taking any action against you. You don't have to cling so tightly to your friend Zuke."
This remark was clearly directed at Lyna, likely because she had been holding onto Zuke so tightly that it seemed exhausting, prompting him to reassure her.
"No, I don't trust your Security Force Police."
Lyna continued to cling to Zuke, sticking out her tongue and making a face at The Justifier—adorable, but somewhat out of place given the current atmosphere.
"Is your name really 'The Justifier'?"
"No, 'The Justifier' is my codename. We in the Security Force Police mostly use codenames to address each other."
The Justifier shook his head. His entire body was covered in mech armor, making him look like a heavy-duty Iron Man, so his headshake resembled a robot mimicking human movement.
"Those who join the Security Force Police fight to maintain peace, and many choose to use codenames as their future identities."
"What about her? Her name is Sayomaru, right? Is that her codename too?"
Lyna pointed at Sayomaru, who was standing nearby, and was met with a fierce glare—Sayomaru hadn't given up on her mission to capture the "Transporter."
"Sayomaru is both her codename and her real name. She chose to use her name as her codename when she joined."
The Justifier patiently explained Lyna's question, then turned to Zuke, addressing the main reason why Zuke and Lyna had been brought to the headquarters.
"Earlier, Sayomaru contacted me and said that Mr. Zuke claims to have a way to solve the problems with AA-ZEUS and TY-PHON?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the previously noisy headquarters fell silent. Researchers and combat personnel nearby stopped in their tracks, their expressions turning grave.
"AA-ZEUS? TY-PHON?"
Lyna, however, was completely in the dark, looking confused as to why the mention of these two names had suddenly made the atmosphere in the headquarters so tense.
"It seems Miss 'Transporter' isn't familiar with this. In that case, let me show you—the scene being monitored by the spherical screen in the center of the hall that you were curious about earlier."
The Justifier gave Lyna a meaningful look, then waved his hand toward the spherical screen in the center of the hall. In the next moment, the screen lit up, and a terrifying scene unfolded before Lyna's eyes.
...
The silver-white mechanical giant's cannon barrels opened, unleashing a barrage of chaotic energy blasts toward the black mechanical giant in front of it.
Facing AA-ZEUS's attacks, TY-PHON's body weaved through the energy blasts, deftly avoiding them all. Any stray energy was blocked by his protective shield.
The energy blasts fired by AA-ZEUS struck a distant planet—almost instantly, the massive planet shattered like a Rubik's Cube dropped on the ground, breaking into countless tiny fragments.
The energy from the planet's explosion spread out, annihilating some of the debris in space, but it had no effect on the standoff between AA-ZEUS and TY-PHON.
Taking advantage of the brief pause after AA-ZEUS fired its energy blasts, TY-PHON gathered energy around him, forming vicious energy serpents that lunged at AA-ZEUS's body.
One of the energy serpents merely grazed a planet, burning away half of it, as if it had bitten a full moon into a crescent.
Facing these energy serpents capable of easily tearing apart planets, AA-ZEUS didn't hesitate to open part of its armor, revealing special devices within its body.
These devices then unleashed a shocking burst of purple lightning, tearing apart the energy serpents that were about to strike its body, like the thunder of a god.
This was the power capable of overthrowing divine authority. AA-ZEUS's name included "Zeus," the god of thunder, because the lightning it released possessed the power to destroy heaven and earth.
Even though the lightning was meant to shred the energy serpents released by TY-PHON, the scattered bolts still pierced through many nearby celestial bodies, leaving the star system in ruins.
TY-PHON's body emitted a mechanical wail as it lunged at AA-ZEUS, its massive arm striking AA-ZEUS's chest, leaving a crack.
But the crack was quickly repaired by AA-ZEUS's self-healing ability, restoring it to its original smooth state.
AA-ZEUS didn't miss the opportunity during TY-PHON's close-range attack. It raised its hand, grabbing TY-PHON's head, and unleashed a fierce burst of lightning from its palm, directly shattering TY-PHON's skull.
However, like AA-ZEUS, TY-PHON possessed a terrifying self-repair ability. Fragments of nearby planets were drawn to it, disassembling and reassembling on its shattered head, eventually reforming TY-PHON's skull.
The two mechanical giants continued their battle, their position shifting rapidly, heading toward the next star system.
...
"What... what is that?"
Watching the battle between AA-ZEUS and TY-PHON on the spherical screen, Lyna clung even tighter to Zuke's arm, as if that would give her some sense of security.
"You're not trying to tell me that this is real, are you? This isn't some kind of movie scene, is it!?"
Given the technological level of this world, creating such special effects would be effortless, so Lyna instinctively thought the scene on the screen couldn't be real.
But her rationality soon took over—the Security Force Police weren't an entertainment organization. They had specifically brought Zuke here; surely it wasn't just to show him the latest special effects movie?
At this thought, Lyna's gaze toward Zuke changed—could this guy really deal with those giant robots that could destroy planets with a single shot?
"We wish it were fake, but unfortunately, we've confirmed it many times. 'Divine Arsenal' AA-ZEUS and 'Super Starslayer' TY-PHON are both very real."
Though The Justifier's face was covered by machinery, the heaviness in his tone was unmistakable.
"Faced with such power, we have no solution... so even the slightest hope is something we can't afford to ignore."
Hearing this, Lyna understood—Zuke was their "slightest hope." Whether he was bluffing or truly capable, they had no choice but to bring him in and see.
To be continued…
