The dim light, passing through the oil-stained windows, barely illuminated a corner of the shop. In this faint halo of light, three men lay quietly on the frigid floor, motionless.
One of them had legs twisted grotesquely, clearly suffering from severe comminuted fractures.
His complexion was pale, eyes tightly shut, appearing to have lost consciousness.
Beside him lay the other two men, one corpulent, the other comparatively lean, but both in equally dreadful states.
Their bodies were in unnatural positions, muscles and joints seemingly subjected to intentional and precise damage, rendering them immobile.
