Wei Tianyang was about to leave the desert when he noticed the sand beneath his feet gradually turn from white to black.
His legs seemed as if they were immersed in ink; the sandy sea rose above his ankles. Thinking that Lilith was making another comeback, he braced himself for battle, but the black sand soared up like a curtain with a whoosh.
On closer inspection, he realized it wasn't the sand turning black, but a large mass of black mist seeping out from between the grains of sand.
This black air surged into the sky like a mirage, forming into a series of black castles, and then, as if on cue, it simmered down and fell back to the ground, after which, it was all absorbed into Wei Tianyang's body.
He felt a power coursing chaotically within him, restless and seeming to want to escape through the crevices of his muscles, which he tried to suppress as a white light flickered at the chiseled contours of his chest and abdomen.
