"Submarine! Submarine!!" Leng Kai shouted, pointing at the sea surface.
In an instant, the submarine shot toward the drilling platform like a missile.
Leng Kai had no concept of the submarine's size, so he couldn't estimate how long it would take to crash into the platform.
"72%! Should we retreat?!" Soap called out from the machine room.
"Take cover! Take cover!!" Price yelled.
The submarine got closer and closer, accompanied by a terrifying howl of wind. Its dark steel body was almost within reach, slamming into the outermost pillars of the platform first, its head smashing into the upper level and emitting a heartbreaking scraping noise.
Then the submarine's tail rose up, its rear propeller still spinning, like a beached whale. It stood like that for a moment, then flipped over, crashing into the central core area of the platform.
