After the funeral ended, it was already evening.
Leng Kai returned to his hotel room to rest when his phone suddenly wouldn't stop ringing.
He picked up his phone and saw that it was Commander Lu.
"Kai, an emergency situation has arisen! I order you, return to the ranks by noon tomorrow!" Commander Lu said.
Leng Kai didn't respond right away. It took him a few seconds to process Commander Lu's words; all he replied was, "Received."
Commander Lu continued, "Stay safe, Kai. The situation is critical. It's not convenient to explain over the phone. We'll be assembling at C12. I'll tell you the details then."
Leng Kai said, "Understood."
Commander Lu wasted no further words, conveyed his commands, and then hung up.
